My advice to all of us is that, when we were in FCT with Mallam, I remember when he was leaving, 2007, he gathered all of us, just like we are talking to each other right now.

Unfortunately, few months after, things changed completely. Some people there, we thought that they were our friends, conspired to make sure that they sent him out of the government, not only the government, out of the country, through blackmail, witch-hunt and persecution.

Unfortunately they were almost succeeding because they have to conspire with the people that were working with us at that time, our so-called friends, those that Mallam got them appointed, not in FCT, but even within the Presidency.

So that is why sometimes I am not always excited when I happen to find myself. . .because Mallam’s destiny, I kept telling him, he is someone that has a very complicated destiny, helping everyone, but sometimes people abandon him.

And that is the reason why, I keep telling them. . .whenever I find myself addressing the public, I kept telling them, look, please, we have to understand that Mallam is someone. . .I have never sat with him for a day since I have met him, looking for a way to buy a car or a house for himself or his family, but doing for every other person, that’s why the other day I was telling him, he is generous to everyone, but not to himself and I always pray and I want all of us to pray that all of us that have worked with Mallam, benefited from him, we should remain faithful to him (the audience shouts “Amen” ), remain loyal to him (the audience applauds) and to always try to protect him because we know the truth, we know who he is. Nobody else can tell the story except those that work with him. That is my advice.

Lastly, I can say that I am a very lucky person because, although Mallam kept saying that he is not going to come to Kaduna, he is not. . .that’s why I gave an example of my investment in Dubai, why I forced him to go and borrow money, I know that in my mind I will force him to come and help me because Mallam more than any one, more than anyone, in this country not in Kaduna State, wants me to succeed more than anyone and if anyone thinks he loves me or wants me to succeed more than Mallam, the person is just a joker. That is just the fact.

There is no-one from the North who doesn't know that Elrufai's travails from Uba Sani is being orchestrated by people around the Presidency. First you denied him the ministerial slot after sending emissaries to ask him to accept to work with you, then you sponsor fictitious probe against arguably the best northern governor in recent times, all in a bid to smear his reputation. Despite all Elrufai did for his election, and after promising publicly to work with him?

Tinubu lost me and a lot of other northern voters with that treacherous behaviour. Elrufai is not a small northern politician and it would have paid Tinubu more to have him by his side. Tinubu's strategy appears to be withering the influence of strong northern politicians by sponsoring chaos in their states through fictitious probes, and fueling emirship crisis. This will turn out to be the archiles heel of Tinubu. You can't beat a child and expect him not to cry.

No matter how strong you think Tinubu is, he can not choose a leader for the Northerners. Northerners decide their fate and choose their own leaders. The current turnaround of Northerners against Tinubu is largely as a result of this betrayal of strong northern figures in favour of much less influential northerners who cannot even deliver votes for him. Tinubu has successfully scattered APC with his own hands and he doesn't even have the whole South on lockdown. He has silently dropped off all other blocs that came together to form the party in favour of only the ACN and non-APC members, preferring to take it all. We hope he can perform enough to get the entire south to align with him in 2027. We watch!

Politicians in Nigeria are not known to be men of principles, it is either sani betrayed rufai, or he was just lying to elrufai, both sani and elrufai are shady characters.

Quite honestly Mallam fought hard for the APC at the twilight of the PMB administration to ensure BAT, Uba Sani & others clinch power. Unfortunately, what might have gone under the bridge no one knows, but certainly what's happening, he (mallam) has done to people like Atiku and Obj too. Therefore, the conclusion of the matter is that in the arena they are playing this, no permanent friends nor permanent enemies, just interest. Whether Mallam will resurface is left to the future to decide.
