Nope, you aren’t sticking by that principle and that’s why you’re attacking the old man. Your opinion on the government is your choice but you can’t be bitter cos another person refused to give a negative opinion.

I know many of you are bitter cos your candidate lost but do you realize the man you’re referring to is 90 yrs. How many 90 yr olds are still cognitively sound as he is. The old man needs rest, it is left for you and I to stand up for our right.

I have never criticized Soyinka because he is entitled to his views, you on the other hand are attacking those that are, which makes you no different from them. It's very simple, practice what you are preaching, no? And you are clearly the one not thinking straight to assume you know who my candidate was. Toxic beings everywhere. Just look at your post history and tell us who is exhibiting bitterness.

Lol the joke is on you and your failed ancestors. He doesn’t owe you anything, every man is entitled to his or her opinion. He doesn’t work for you or any government, if you have issues with the government, voice it out and stop waiting for someone to speak for you.

You people will forever be pained cos he didn’t support Peter Obi, meanwhile the man didn’t support any of the candidates. Hateful and jealous children of doom.

Nobody is pained because he didn’t support PO , we could care less who he supports the issue is the fact that he is a two faced piece of shit that was roving mad during GEJ presidency even though things weren’t as bad as we have it now but all of a sudden he is as quiet as a kitten. A pussy because of chump change, if you as a Yoruba experiencing this current hardship can’t see it for what it is then you are also an enemy to a better Nigeria and you should be ashamed of your existence.

So why is he still spreading to the press. He should have been resting in his house instead of media parley

It is overzealous media personnel like you that won’t stop trooping to his house for his opinion on the government. The old man even moved to a remote place in his hometown, a place far from the city, just to enjoy peace at his final stage on earth but journalist won’t let him rest. Hence, the reason why he told them he’ll speak at his own terms and not at anybody’s terms. I know the hate and jealousy in you couldn’t make you read in between the lines. That interview was a waste for the newspaper cos he didn’t give them what they wanted.

It is very painful that the respect Nigerians have for Prof Wole Soyinka is just fading away. Some people think that other people's brain do not work but only theirs. The actions of Wole Soyinka have destroyed all his packaging and place him at the level of an ordinary politician

He never had any integrity prior. Humans tends to reveal whom they are overtime.

You still can’t see how foolish your thinking is, Wole Soyinka is not your mouth piece, your fathers didn’t employ him to speak for them. If you think the current situation of things is terrible, stand up and speak for yourself and leave an old man out of your misery. He doesn’t owe you anything.
you actually are a blockhead I wouldn't even bother bantering with, I just wanted to put it on record that you were warned but stone aged tribal bigotry didn't allow you to have sense . Have a nice day sir cool

Even your fathers do not have the clout or integrity to call him despicable names like you their unfortunate child just did here. I know you’re too bitter to comprehend that a 90 yr old man was almost 10 yrs younger during Jonathan’s era or were you too young to remember how he criticized Obasanjo, his hometown brother, when he was the President of Nigeria? Was he being tribalistic when he won’t stop criticizing OBJ between 1999 and 2007? Many of you are just too daft to comprehend that some people are beyond and above tribal sentiments, they share their views regardless of who sits in Aso rock. So if he chooses to keep silent at 90 , he owes you and your bigoted fathers no explanation.

hatred and jealousy will never let you see the point. A 60 yr old man in 1993 isn’t the same as a 90 yr old man in 2024. Ask yourself, how many 90 yr olds in your family, if any, is still cognitively active and articulate?

He talked about his "Igbophobia Baiting", he said...

“If you read my Baiting Igbophobia, I narrate a conversation, which was transmitted to me, in which these people sent one of their marching orders to somebody that he should go and deal with me. The man said you know I don’t understand what Soyinka says.

“They told him, Who says you should understand? Any time he opens his mouth, jump in his throat. That’s the way they put it. I’m quoting them."

Juse see the kinda hate that resides in a whole tribe towards one person. Achebe go dey gnash hin teeth for grave now cheesy cheesy

The hatred is in all front, You hate igbos and igbos hate you back. It's time we stop pretending as if all is fine, you cant be playing the victim all the time.

Be proud of your tribe, oloriburuku omo ofo

Ìwọ gangan ni oloriburuku ọmọ òfo tí ó ń báni lórúkọ je with your blind tribesmen loyalty.

EloquentMedia:
UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR ROLE IN SOCIETY, YOU CAN NEVER MAKE ANY MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTION.

According to the Greeks there are three types of people on earth,

- the idiots,

- the tribesmen, and

- the citizens.

Studies show only 10% of Africans are citizens.

The remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.

1. THE IDIOTS.
When the Greeks used the word "idiot", they did not use it as a curse word.

Idiots are people who just don’t care.

If they write exams, they will cheat.

If they are in government they will steal.

An idiot does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin.

According to the Greeks, some societies have more idiots than tribesmen and citizens.

2. THE TRIBESMEN
The next set of people are tribesmen, these are people that look at everything from the point of view of their tribe.

These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe.

It can be terrible to have a tribesman as a leader, he will alienate the rest.

When the Greeks talk about tribes, it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion as a tribe.

A great percentage of Africans are tribesmen, because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes.

They trust only their tribesmen.

3. THE CITIZENS
The last group are citizens.

These are people that like to do things the right way.

They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them.

They drive within speed limits.

They respect the laws, won’t cheat in exams.

In government they won’t steal.

They are compassionate and give to others to promote their wellbeing.

Citizens often promote projects that benefit everyone.

The Greeks called this group the citizens.

Some countries have more citizens than tribesmen and idiots.

Others have so many idiots.

A tribesman can become a citizen through orientation.

And an idiot can become a citizen by training and constant enforcement of the law.

But things fall apart if you elect an idiot or tribesman to lead you if he has not been reformed.

Where do you belong?

Are you an idiot, a tribesman or a citizen?

Reflect about your life.

Reflect about your country and Africa in general before you answer.

Being a Nobel laureate doesn’t mean one has integrity or empathy for humanity. For some like Wole, it only masked their wickedness and egocentricrism.

That mask has fallen off and his true identity has been revealed like an exposed blukos.

Unknown rascals can vent here on NL, they are unknown outside here

For your mind you think Wole Soyinka will remain the only Nigerian to win Nobel laureate. In the last 100yrs some with your mindset would have thought no black man will even ever win a Nobel laureate. See how poor you are in your thinking. So Soyinka will be the only brilliant mind that ever come out of Nigeria? Providence doesn't work like that.

It is you and your fathers that are despicable and retarded. I am not here to defend the present government or any Nigerian government. I’m only defending a 90 yr old man whose rights idiots like you do not seem to understand. As I said before, stand up to the government and demand for the change you deserve. I care less about who is President, I don’t know Tinubu from anywhere and I did not support him or any other Politician. The problem with your lots is that anyone who disagrees with you must be a supporter of Tinubu or a Yoruba man. You only see things from the frame of tribalism and bigotry, a mindset that will continue to prevent your lots from going far. No one owes your candidate, Peter Obi, any sympathy. He is not different from other Politicians, they are all thieves and wicked. Face your problem and leave the old man out of it.
