Singer Rema at Christ Embassy church in Benin, Edo state during his homecoming.

Following the success of his homecoming concert in Benin, a video of Rema at Christ Embassy camp ground, Sapele Road, where he and his family appreciated God, has emerged online.

The Calm Down crooner also recalled how the church embraced him and his family when they lost their father. During his address to the church, Rema donated N105 million as a sign of gratitude to God. The singer recount how the church supported his mother by opening a shop for her when he lost his father.

He said "The church embraced me, I pledge N40 million to the infrastructure of the church, N20 million to Rhapsodies of Realities, N25 million to teen church. When I lost my dad, we felt alone, the church opened a shop for my mum, if there is any widow, I am pledging N20 million."

These are what churches have been doing since the time immemorial without making noise. Imagine a church delivering rice and beans to my door steps in December 2017 when I lost my job. During my undergraduate days, all I did was to enjoy free foods especially during exam without even know where they came from.

I just pray that the church use the donation in a more impactful manner.

Let us wait for the wretched ones to crawl out of their huts to come and advise the donor how best he should have spent his money. He should have donated to school, build industry bla bla bla. Last last na poor people dey vex over church financing.

The rich just drop the cash while the wretched ones are all over social media criticizing offerings and tithes. The same people whose total yearly offerings cannot buy one plastic o. Satan is really a deceiver of foolish men. Nor give church money o, you hear because na pastor wan chop am. What 100,000 online critics cannot give, one person just gave it. This is exactly how most churches are run, for your information.

Fundings of most mega churches you know are done by very few individuals. GOD'S work cannot be stranded by shortage of funds. Satan is a learner! grin
