How can I make you trust me? Walahi, I have not. But I’m using the same email as the one I used to use on the former ustraveldocs

Mine took 3days. It'll come eventually.

Can you respond to my email please?

Is it after a while that they will send the email? Cuz I’ve been getting “user inactive” since. Maybe they’ll take dome time to send it right? Like how many days? I’m sorry for asking you too many questions

Hi,
My email is not connected, so I can’t access it. They should send the mail immediately you register with the new website. If you’ve checked your spam and inbox, and it’s not there, then it’s probably a technical issue and you should contact them on monday.

Hi Everyone,
Pls after I paid the Visa fee on this new website, I was redirected to my application and asked to upload my I20. I did this, but I haven’t signed the student attestation part yet, and it’s not allowing me to re upload it. I hope there won’t be any problem? Or should i contact them?
After making the payment were you able to find appointment dates on the new portal?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by VincentTobe: 5:41am On Sep 01

Good morning,
Pls i need your help @OyoTunjiUSA
I paid my MRV fee online on Friday, and it was successful . Someone in the USA paid for me, but didn’t print the confirmation receipt after. I saw that i have to take the MRV fee receipt for the interview. Is the MRV fee receipt the confirmation receipt, and is there any way i can get it again?
The person thought they were going to email the receipt to me, and I should wait till my pre approval request finishes processing.
I’ll really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Hey 🤠

Thanks for the A2A.

1. Almost 85% of Nairalanders, including myself are still newbies on this new policy, except those who have actually experienced a particular situation and came out of it. But psychologically, your VISA interview appointment letter should indicate/point to your MRV payment reference number.

2. Ask the payer to go back to the source of payment and retrieve or printout payment acknowledgement (ie email notification etc) which can be forwarded to you.
You may as well call the helpline for specific instruction.

PS: I believe since your payment is confirmed, and you were able to book an appointment successfully, you won't have any issue (if printing of MRV payment receipt is not available on the new website) attending your interview without MRV receipt.

PS: MRV receipt is not the confirmation but you will need the payment confirmation reference to continue with the booking of your appointment. Ask the payer to check his or her email, or your personal email for further notifications. You will still need the main VISA appointment letter to be printed out, after the MRV payment phase. Wait for the email notification if you have not completed the whole task.

Best Wishes 🙏

Hi everyone. If you’re trying to book a visa appointment slot for you and ur wife (F1 and F2) after filling both parties DS-160, do you book the slot separately and pay separately? Or there’s a place when you’re booking your own where you’ll be able to add her as dependent? If you need to book separately, how then does the embassy make sure you attend visa interview together if u plan to do so?

It's a technical issue, they'll get back to you via an email for account activation. By then, the 'user inactive' thing will be cleared.

Just got mine working after 5days of trying.

Hey 🤠

1. Go and start from the filling of your DS-160 and after submission, you will select “Email Confirmation” on your Confirmation Page, and you will be directed to a “Thank You” page. On the “Thank You” page, you will see an option to create a family or group application. When you select this option, certain information from your application (the ongoing submitted DS-160) , such as destination etc, will automatically be imported to and displayed on a new application, thereby, connecting your family info with your DS-160.
Pls note that you must still create a separate individual DS-160 for each applicant.

2. After the above, you will have to go and sign up on the new " usvisaappt.com, and once the account was created, Go to ''My Dashboard'', and click on ''Create New'' button in order to start the scheduling process. Choose your application country, the service type, the VISA category and the VISA class.

3. Before paying the VISA fee, you will have the option to add the family members applying together with you, and to provide the personal details for each applicant. The visa fees will be calculated based on the information you provide, and you will be able to schedule appointments for each family member.

What’s the mode of paying visa fee now? Can one pay with their visa/ Mastercard debit/credit card? Do we still have to go through GTbank?

Thank you so much. I’ve filled all DS-160.

It’s not clear at which point I’ll be able to add since the website is trying to make me only pay for my own. And the website shows this (attached)

1. According to the new directives, some USA embassies or consulates may request the visa applicants to schedule individual appointments.

2. in this case, the option to add the family members will not appear during the process, and you will need to schedule each person separately.

HELP!!!

Does anyone know what happens to the old MRV paid at GTB before the suspension of the old website? Do I need to pay a new fee or the old MRV can be used on the new website?

Guess so. That means if we’re to attend together, we can try schedule it and find a date on the same day and time, even while we book separately.

Click on the pending appointment request. You’ll see it there. Have you signed the student attestation part yet. Do you know if we are to sign it now? Because I thought we were supposed to print it and then sign it. Also, after paying did you get any receipt with any special number or anything?

Hey 🤠

Thanks for the A2A.

1. I do not keep school lists for future references because school's policy, admission procedures etc can be changed. Nevertheless, other contributors will soon send you list of such schools.

2. That being said, Google is still your best resources. Search " Public Research Universities in the United States " and go to their International Students Admission, and send enquiry emails to each school's one after the other . You will receive positive responses to your admission question (s), because they are friendly towards international applicants.

PS: Visit each school's International student admission requirements, and ask the admissions office any question of your choice. This is the way everyone does it.

Yes I got the receipt after paying which I downloaded online. I don’t think not signing before uploading is gonna be any big deal. If anything, u should sign it before yu go for ur appointment.

When I click on the “pending appointment “, it’s still not there.

Hey 🤠

1. What you are trying to do is called " Consular Shopping, Visa shopping or Forum shopping" (That's the fallacy that, if you go to another country, you will have VISA advantages or that the consular officers in the 3rd country won't know your past VISA history),
but fortunately for you, F-1 VISA applicants are exempted from this judgement if they can proof otherwise.

2. Back to your question, the procedure to process your F-1 VISA is almost same procedure as the steps you have taken in your previous applications ; 1. Visit the website of the USA embassy in the country of your choice. 2. Fill DS-160 and indicate the country in the beginning. 3. Pay the VISA fee applicable to the applicants in that country. 4. Book appointment and attend your interview. No one is going to stop you and say, hey ! You are from Nigeria 😊

3. That being said, you must be certain that your previous VISA application circumstances have changed, because if your F-1 VISA was denied in Nigeria , it's going to be deny again if you travel to Australia , except if your circumstances has improved.

PS: Some hardline-consulars will still hold VISA Shopping rule in sense-1 above against you. It's like forgiven a 6 - year old kid for stealing a biscuit, all because he or she is a minor : Stealing is stealing, it has no other meaning.

Best Wishes 🙏

Good morning everyone,

This morning, I received an email from Avits (USAvisaAppt) indicating that I had requested a password reset (please note that I did not initiate this request). Upon carefully reviewing the email, I confirmed its legitimacy, as I had rescheduled an appointment on the old website. After following the reset instructions, I was able to log into my portal successfully. However, when attempting to reschedule my appointment, I noticed that all available dates are displaying a time slot of 12:00 AM.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? My current appointment is scheduled for September 9th, but due to personal reasons, I am looking to reschedule it to a later date. Any insights or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

1. Having confirmed the legitimacy of the whole scenario yourself, stop being persnickety and choose from the available dates before it disappear. Psychology should tell us that no consular will conduct interview for you at 12: a.m. on the wee hour when everyone is sleeping.

PS: We should always recognise human and computer errors as acceptable at all time. Chose your date and pick the available time.

The whole of September is available with the exception of weekends. About 78% days in October, November, December etc are available.

I am having the same issue. I can see all the dates available, but when I click on my preferred date, the only time slot available is 12 a.m., and even when I click on that, I get an error message. I will keep trying.
