Damn! After 6 gruesome years this Otuoke man is still coming up with plans to fight corruption! I mean, was handling corruption not part of his initial plans. Damn!

Time for GMB to take over and by God's grace he will be our next president..

'different'?

The same Abacha GEJ honoured? This statement of yours is an acknowledgement of the indictment.

He was honored during the centenary awards...

Whether you like him or not, he was a Nigerian Leader and you cannot talk about Nigeria's history without mentioning Abacha..

Maybe you should go back and look at what he was honored for at the centenary -- The Category

Jonathan should be busy working on his defence plan because he would be on trial for numerous counts of corruption after May 29 2015..

Or better yet, work on an exile plan.

This Otuoke fisherman who claims to be working on an anti corruption plan just used federal powers to support corruption last month in a bid to save face for 2015 elections. And he can't tell me he didn't know because I saw the letter he signed himself. That was the day I finally decided that GEJ must Go.

Down with Jonathan..

MadCow1, kindly shed more light on this for posterity sake.
Not that it will do anything for me anyway.
Already, to me the fool remains a curse to the Nigerian state.

Too little too late, you've had the opportunity to draft and execute any anti-corruption strategy/plan, but you squandered it and you think we the populace are so gullible that we'll buy into this horsecrap plan..

It too late, give up.

When we say this guy is clueless his blind supporters won't agree. If after six years he is just realising this, hw long will it take him 2 implement his anti-corruption stance. Or did he just realise GMB is winning our hearts with his anti-corruption mantra? Too late man.

It is obvious the President went to Dunamis Church with the intention to convince the pastor and he's congregation because the last time he went there the pastor told him his not doing enough in the fight against corruption but from the President speech he is even much worse than i thought. We are only talking about corruption, what about unemployment? The only sector employing in the Country is the private sector. Instead of the government to employ, they came out with a stupid programme called SURE-P for graduate to be collecting #25,000,all in their effort to reduce government spending. This President lack Vision and we are all suffering from it both Christian and muslim.

What a way to start a year!

Chibok girls still missing - he's coming up with a rescue plan

Boko Haram still striking - he's coming up with a plan to fight them

Economy dwindling - he's coming up with austerity measures plan

Electricity worsened - he's coming up with privatization plan

Nation already overwhelmed by corruption - he's coming up with anti corruption plan.

GEJ.. You are the definition of CLUELESS

..... Plz we beg you with whatever you believe in, just leave honorably. I believe you will make history if you can be the first democratic president to resign, you will be honored and respected....

Even a blind man can see that GEJ has a catastrophic record from the above.
He has failed overwhelmingly and those supporting him now will cry 4 years later when he has finally destroyed what is left of Nigeria.
My only pain is that I won't be in Nigeria to cast my vote against those who have destroyed this country for 6years.

Did you just say "implement"?

GEJ does not possess the mental capacity to implement any policy. Q.E.D.

The most he would do is form a committee or ad-hoc committee and that will be the end of it.

If SS wants to retain the presidency, the least they could do is present someone whose brain cells have not been destroyed from many years of local brew consumption.

GEJ and the clown, PEJ are curses to Nigeria especially in this fast-paced century.
A country of highly-educated elites? And the best they could do are these two bozos?

LogicPower:
You STILL don't get it, Mr Clueless!

1. In a country where corruption is so endemic, so widespread and so ingrained in almost every institution, there is NO WAY you can clean the menace without arresting and EXECUTING JAILING the corrupt and criminal elements, especially those who loot hundreds of millions.

2. If you cannot catch and PUNISH THE BIG CULPRITS who steal billions of the public money, then you can as well tell our police and the courts to STOP arresting and jailing THE PETTY CRIMINALS who steal PEANUTS compared to what your friends, associates and mentors loot DAILY from our common treasury!

3. You have just proved, ONCE AGAIN, that you have NOT got the amount of MORAL COURAGE that is needed to confront THE BIG THIEVING ELITE of this country.

4. And since you have NOT confronted them before, nobody should expect you to even try to confront them now, when MANY of them are either using the looted money to fund your re-election or are mouthing their support for your campaign, which they know is the surest way of getting away with all what they have looted, and are looting!

5. If not for your cluelessness and HALF-HEARTED commitment to fighting corruption, how on earth would you dismiss and even mock the age-long, tested and trusted way of deterring criminals (i.e. arresting them and jailing them), only for you to come up with A VAGUE and RIDICULOUS idea of 'strengthening the institutions' as an alternative?

6. Since you have recanted your earlier comments and now, like the rest of us, admit that corruption is one of the two major problems in this country, HOW do you think the corrupt operators of the corrupt system would allow you to 'strengthen the institutions', without first getting rid of them?

7. By this your comment, Mr President, you have just added URGENCY to the determination of Nigerian masses to see that you GIVE WAY to someone who can do a BETTER JOB of looking the thieving elite in the face, on our behalf, and telling them that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Anyone who is unemployed or underemployed has no business voting for GEJ.
Even in the private sector' MNC's like Mobil, MTN and Shell continue to underpay Nigerian staff in contrast to other countries and because of kickbacks and institutionalized corruption the government looks the other way while citizens are exploited by these companies.
Yet they will say GEJ created millions of jobs and has reduced poverty by 50%.

6 Years plan that is already dead on arrival, can he persecutes his cohort that contributed 21 billion to his campaign!!! Hope stealing is not part of that plan because stealing is not corruption in Mr president's dictionary. How amazing could this be to Nigerians!!!! Change is inevitable come February when we will show GEJ how we use to love him (lovers day indeed).

Jonathan's speech yesterday again conveyed his vision and understanding of the Nigerian problem.
This man my mean well but by far, he lacks the guts or drive to redeem Nigeria from the bowels of corruption.
Jonthan is slow. The worst part is, he wants all Nigerians to ride along at his slow pace and think it as being patient and virtuous.
In 5 more years to come, we would still be in one place. Patiently waiting.

Its so clear as I discuss with people- people who still defend jonathan or support his presidency etc do so based on ethnic and religious considerations.
I'm Ibo but its so sad that a great majority of Ibos are guilty of this.
We need a man with drive and firm hand to dust Nigeria up, not someone who contantly begs for patience and gives excuses on national TV.
