Yes Ecco bank ATM located at River state Collage of health science had last year dispensed Fake Notes to me. So is not a new thing to Ecco banks especially Riverstate branches.

No wonder I see many people counting their money in front of the ATM after withdrawing money just in case

I think I better start doing that myself , usually I just put the cash in my wallet or wherever but with this one now I go dey count and cross check am to see if na fake

UBA atm has paid me turn worn out money before

I once had 2 pieces of N200 bills dispensed alongside N1000 bills and counted as N1000 bills at a Firstbank ATM machine in PHC in broad daylight and I immediately went inside the banking hall with a friend who witnessed the whole thing to report to the operations manager of the branch. To my surprise, she blatantly told me it was impossible and just walked away from me. I just shook my head and left the banking hall disappointed. This happened about 3 years ago.

An ATM dispensed a mixed of NGN1000 and NGN500 to me once as against NGN1000 notes.

it has happened to me once.. there is a bank at Ajah roundabout called Enterprise Bank i withdraw 5k. and proceed to make payment at first bank which is close by, the first bank teller guy now informed me that two of the money are fake!!! he perforated it immediately, i went back to enterprise bank they denied it.. claiming they dont do such.. everyone heard my voice that day.. such a pity that our banks are now into fraud

I had similar experience with Keystone ATM and UBA in December and January this year. Their ATM paid me have one thousand naira note.

My husband also withdrew 4rm UBA in Ekiti and 1 of d #1000 note was fake,until he got 2 a shop 2 buy something he didn't know. N we were so sure it was d atm cos nobody had given him any money before he went 2 d shop

Just go back there and make trouble with every banker you see. They will attend to you by force. The best place to make trouble in Nigeria is in a bank.

Its simple. Get a lawyer and sue them. First you couldn't meet up with the payment for your goods supplied becus of the reduction of your money. 2nd time wasted at the bank while u ought to be handling your business. You can claim damages. As for d bank if they fail to provide footage of the cctv it means they re hidding something. Therefore bro, u gat a case

This happened to a friend of mine at Ecobank Apake Ogbomoso. They didn't want to change the money until we threatened to treat their f*ck-up starting from the manager to the security men at the gate. I'm begging y'all to stop banking with Ecobank they are the most useless bank ever in Nigeria. They've done so many atrocities here in Ogbomoso I just don't want to be mentioning everything here. Thanks

The branch operations manager Is an id1ot. Mistakes happen and one of the cash unit guys let the fake go during packaging. The publicity and uproar to the bank is not worth it. A thief wouldn't expend such energy. Simply refund from his pocket and Caution your cash unit guys going forward.

Ecobank na yeye bank na, ever since I went to withdraw money using their atm machine I vowed never to visit an atm point with the name eco bank on the sign post. See pics of the nonsense cash that the idiot that counted the money n put it in2 d machine.

When people say sue, lawyer and court, it shows that they do not understand the Nigeria of 2015.

It happened to a friend of mine in benin last year...same ecobank.

This is not a mistake, it's just a means of defrauding unsuspecting customers by some greedy staffs of banks.

I experienced it myself when I withdrew money from GTB in calabar road, calabar close to NEPA, I took the money to deposit at zenith bank Mary slessor Avenue calabar, and there, the cashier discovered a thousand naira note was fake, I was very angry and determined to get to the root of it, after several days, the bank (gtb) claim after investigations, it was discovered there was no way their atm could have dispensed a fake note. I was left to my fate. After all there is no customers protection in Nigeria. Believe me you, I know a few people with same experience, it is a deliberate Act.
