There is no evidence that more than 100 companies were assessed. none exists!

What we know is, 100 Defence companies were rated, and unfortunately you came in at last place.

It is ridiculous that you try to justify your been in last place......... Sad really.

The evidence that more than 100 companies have been assesed is in the title of the list

What lacks evidence is your claim that only 100 were assesed

What is sad is your desperate attempts to undermine our acheivements

grin grin grin that one has been playing truancy with his schooling with nairaland. That's what all southwest do. Box them to a corner in a debate and they look for lies to tell.
Dictator zoo posted a link she he purportedly claims has 33,000 murders a year in Nigeria. I read the link and found out it wasn't true.
When I shamed him, he went and brought a funnier link that still proved nothing.
Till this day he is yet to redeem that claim
lol,I posted a link last week, revealing the combat capabilities of the NAF,mzilakazi was so stunned that he practically conceded defeat and thereafter starved himself for four consequetive days out of shame.
Dictator zoo is an ignorant troll who only come here to sprout ill-rehearsed hate speeches whenever their government is 'generous' enough to donate free data to its lazy populace; he has made many false claims, when confronted,he runs away for a month and then comes back hoping the scandal he created has blown over.

Bullish.t, just because you are a special force does not mean you should look so terrible and outrageous like a rebel. That's indiscipline of the highest order and a total disregard of the uniform and pride of one's nation. Wow. Those people look more like rebels than special forces. So, poor and unkept, terrible is the word. I hate it when special forces go around hanging feeding belt as if it does not have a special case to put it in. Man that's rebels who do that,
Ladies and gents, SA recces.
Unlike the SANDF who went to DRC to eat corn-flakes and cereals with UN taxpayers money,Nigerian troops; SF and commando troops are currently fighting a war in the middle of a desert, they certainly have no time to powder their faces and put on lipstick for the sake of the camera.
I can post pictures of frazzled american soldiers when they were engaged in afghanistan. Our soldiers are well trained and moderately disciplined enough to carry out their primary responsibilities.

Stop been naïve, there are no achievements. Excerpt if last place is an achievement in soweto, i simply can't see any.

After over 100 years of arms manufacturing, all you can show for it is last place. Pathetic loser!

Exporting more arms than Australia is also not an achievement. You only succeed in opening yourself to more ridicule!

Denel has only been trading in the international market for just over 20 years - not 100

Who says only 100 companies were rated?

Out of 195 countries in the world, we are amongst the top 20 arms exporters.

Dude, what is open to ridicule is how DICON has been open since the 1960's and has yet to export anything at all.

26 of 39 Oryx upgraded by Denel Aviation

"Denel Aviation will conclude the avionics upgrade of 39 of the South African Air Force’s Oryx transport helicopters in January 2016 after years of delays.

"Denel said in its report released this week that qualification and certification of the system upgrade has been completed. “To date 26 of the 39 aircraft have been modified and some have been released for operational deployment by the customer."

1. "Top 100" means of ALL Defence comapnies or at least the TOP 100 of companies assesed- simple English tells you this

2. Denel is younger than DICON

3. Top 20 Arms exporter - fact.

Come now brah.

If mediocrity it being amonst the 100 Biggest Defence firms in the world. If mediocrity is being one of the top 20 exporters in the world.

What then is DICON? What is PROFORCE? What is Nigeria?

Nigeria has a 100% black man built DICON and PROFORCE, but South African DENEL is a white man built defence company existing since 1960s under different name, getting direct technology transfer from their white men brothers in Europe and paying Israel to send Jewish engineers with full technology transfer to work for DENEL .

Ours is 100% Nigerian origin, yours is inherited 1005 from your ex-white masters....your Soweto brains built nothing cheesy cheesy

China is missing on the top 100 list....makes the list fake or simply flawed and incorrect.....the list that ranks DENEL above China is garbage !

I'll give you just 1 chance to reply like a gentleman. If you start making things up out of desperation, and start pulling figures without sources i will stop. There are plenty other people for you to argue with here.

This is what you said....

"DENEL's biggest profit source is not anything high end equipment. Most of DENEL profits come from tens of thousands of rifles and bullets, then MRAP"

This link posted just yesterday on Defenceweb shows that Denel Land Systems, which makes rifles and MRAP's contributes 28% to total Denel revenue....

http://itweb.co.za/mobilesite/defenceweb/home/item_id-40248/

"Denel Land Systems' (DLS) billing as a consolidated, project-based, systems designer and integrator of combat turrets, artillery and infantry systems, small arms and armoured vehicles is upheld by a recent maintenance, repair and overhaul contract for 1,900 police assault rifles and the sale of 1,000 SS-77 machine guns

These, along with other DLS work including the new infantry fighting vehicle for the SA Army, saw the Lyttelton, Centurion headquartered business division contribute 28% of Denel's revenue in the 2014/15 financial year. DLS has, according to the latest Denel annual report, for the 2014/15 financial year, completed maintenance, repair and overhaul of 1,500 SA Police Service R5 assault rifles with 400 still awaiting refurbishment in the year under review.

Other work DLS' 630 employees were involved in during the year under review included bringing industrialisation and production on phase two of the new infantry fighting vehicle - the Badger - ahead of schedule and a renewal of interest in the new generation Casspir (NG2000) particularly from African countries"

Okay. From your own list we have covered rifles and MRAP's which are manufactured at Denel Land System, and we sit at 28% revenue. What is left? Bullets. Okay...those are manufactured at Pretoria Metal Pressings (PMP), which is part of Denel. You're saying PMP contributes a minimum of 22% of revenue selling bullets (22 + 28 = 50)?

Think long and hard about your answer. While thinking. Keep in mind there is still Denel Dynamics, Denel Aviation, Denel Aerostructures who must still add their share to a total of 100% revenue. Read the Denel financial report and see who the highest contributor was.

Now please tell us...when you said most revenue comes from rifles, bullets then MRAP's were you just making that up? I don't understand...who does it benefit by you just making up your own figures and fact? It's quite sad really.

That 28% contribution from rifles and MRAP could be the most profitable in terms of cost price and selling price, thats is what is called profit margin. The high end stuff maybe less profitable, especially when sold in very few numbers.

Most of DENEL profits come from rifles and MRAP....unless you can prove otherwise....but you cannot cheesy cheesy

My second last paragraph tells you to read Denel's financial report. Just google it on the net and read. My appetite for games is very limited. Like i told Henry...if you want to play games then have fun.

If you believe that selling 2000 rifles, has a higher profit margin over selling 100 missiles (given the higher cost of R & D and overheads in missile manufacture) then let this be the last few seconds i waste on you.

How many periscopes can a single navy use at any given time? Not even the USN has a thousand periscopes for there subs. There's not even a thousand subs operational worldwide in navies.

It is now obvious that you are suffering from a serious mental fatigue and emotional trauma since you are wandering from wilderness of ignorance. I hope that you even never invested your time to read the source and confirm the details that by asserting to the top 100 was a task that involved thousands of registered arms contractors. I told you that the US alone has close to 400 arms contractors, SA has over 100 of such companies and I don't even want to touch those you find in Europe. Denel came 100th place in terms of profit they accumulated in 2014 financial year beating well known Chinese contractors like Norenco and Russian companies like Sukhoi and MIGs. There are many big names which DENEL dominated in terms of sales. DENEL is growing slowly but surely by selling bombs, hand grenades, artillery shells, mortars, basically small arms, avionics and aircraft suits and plenty more of fighter armoured vehicles.
