I absolutely love Blind. Such a fantastic player. Although I would still want him replaced in defence this summer and he should be moved to replace Carrick in the midfield.
I'm still not convinced by lingard but he'll get the time to prove himself and hopefully improve. Interesting to see what happens with our strikers this summer but I get its more important what happens if LvG is sacked this summer.

Blind is worse in midfield. Blind was exposed last season when Carrick got injured and he had to fill in, then we lost there matches in a row.

Blind is only good at left back. Again he cannot displace Luke Shaw there. Mensah will come in before him. So we should keep Blind as our new squad player like Oshea was for us.

However, he has to be given credit for the work he has done so far. He has stayed fit and developed his defensive play to suit his frail body and slow feet. We are generally playing very close to our box which gives the forward players much ground in front of them to cover. No wonder they tired out before time.

it's not a surprise since our highest goal scorer is Martial with 8 goals.


Next season we should go for higuain, payet, a new centreback and maybe mayhrez.

Ferguson said: “Eric Steele had been scouting David de Gea for quite a while, but then Neuer came on the scene at Schalke.

“And I think Schalke would’ve been happy if we’d have gone and taken him. So my problem was Eric, because he was adamant that we must take de Gea. I said ‘but Eric, the boy Neuer is the complete unit; he’s mature, his physique is unbelievable’, and he says ‘yeah, but in three years’ time, de Gea will be better’.

“Eric and I went out to watch him [de Gea] against Valencia away, and the things he’d been speaking about – his agility, his confidence, his speed – were evident.

“And Eric had been building a relationship with his parents, and was so adamant, that I had to trust him – and I’m glad I did, because he was right.”

Neuer's excellent Qualities as a sweeper and ofcourse... his impressive control and distribution of the ball account for atleast 60% of the hype.

In terms of shotstopping, he isn't really better than The likes of Abiodun Baruwa, Austin Ejide etc!!

Without sentiments I believe DDG is the best goalkeeper in the world right now. Even though I don't watch Neuer every now and then, I can still judge his progress from his UCL games. I believe DDG is progressing his game while Neuer is either static or even regressing.

However I will still like to see DDG improve on his box control while dealing with crosses. That is the aspect I greatly remember Van Der Sar. If you tried to stay in VDS's way in order to prevent him from going for aerial balls from set play, you would be wasting your time and even shorting your side. This season, calamity Gomez of Watford has been commanding in that aspect - dealing with aerial balls.

Between 2011/12 and 2013/14 season I surely preferred Neuer to DeGea, but I think DeGea has closed the gap and even has overtaken Neuer now.

DDG was the MOTM in last week friendly between Spain and Italy.
