frumentius: well the pic was taken in algerian- maroccan borders (oujda) and identification in arabic identify also Samora Machel , i found another source that identify samora in 16 and augustino 17, i havn't found a pic of him young to compare , but most important that many africans futur leaders received training in Algeria and sent contingents of their fighters for training in the Algerian camps . (mandela from south africa, Tambo, Samora Machel of Mozambique, Robert Mugabe and Joshua Nkomo of what was then Rhodesia, Amilcar Cabral of Guinea Bissau, Agostinho Neto of Angola. and others .. giles14: Surprise, Surprise.... That's what I thought initially. I felt i was going to see gauges all over the place. The cockpit is modern, with 2 LED displays. It goes further to prove the Nigerian F-7 is an upgraded, multi-role aircraft. 2 Likes |

Wingback: In what way does a JF17 look like a raptor?? You didn't even mention the F16. Jf17 in no way looks like the raptor in terms of design or whatsoever. How can a single engine aircraft look like a twin engine? Moreover, F22 is more advance compared to the F35. Better avionics etc so it's for the US alone. 1 Like |

Myanmar just seem to be able to read my mind in defence issues. It seems they want to go full tilt and co-produce the Jf-17 with Pakistan. Quote below. After deciding to purchase 16 JF-17 Thunder multi-role combat aircraft in 2015, Myanmar is now in advanced negotiations with Pakistan to also licence-build the third-generation fighter, defence industry sources in Yangon and sources close to the Myanmar Air Force (MAF) told Jane's in mid-January....... chkil: Look, no one is questioning the important role Algeria played in the liberation of the continent. This is all our collective history, so let's get the facts right: 1) Mandela was NOT the future 1st president of SA; he was the future 1st democratically-elected president; 2) Samora Machel was not in Algeria in 1962. He went into exile in 1963, and was sent to Algeria, as an ordinary recruit, part of the 2nd group of FRELIMO to be sent there. source: [Christie, Iain, Machel of Mozambique. Harare: Zimbabwe Publishing House, 1988]; 3) The brothers Cabral were not at the gathering either. The party they founded, the PAIGC, was represented there by a delegation led by Aristides Pereira. source: [Chabal, Patrick, Amilcar Cabral: Revolutionary Leadership and People's War. New York and Cambridge, U.K.: Cambridge University Press, 1983]. As I said, only 3 people have been definitively identified in that photo, by both Nelson Mandela and Noureddine Djoudi, who was Mandela's interpreter on that trip and later, Algerian ambassador to South Africa. More pics from that same trip, courtesy of the Algerian Embassy to SA:
