Yes. Their system was down- as usual (I don't think their server is EVER up) so she checks some site on her mobile phone, tells me 'No update' and only after some prompting from me did she take down my details and promise to call or I could check back on Wednesday.

NIPOST..... Never again if I can help it.

If your item is expensive and likely to be pilfered,I suggest you head down to NAHCO Ikeja and make the necessary enquiries.

well I got one from the Nipost website and I also went to their office at murtala airpot..I even called today again I was told I should wait that the customs might have lots of items to clear that's why it's taking this long..my package is iPhone X and this is the first time am using any of this..pls I need help.

I picked up my package today. N23,700 for 1 mobile device. if i weren't aware of the ridiculous fee from this thread i would have removed shirt for them at the office. They still asked for N500 transport fare and 'lunch money'. If i can help it, never again with NIPOST, the custom fee is ridiculous, the ripple effect is the accompanying increase in sales price.
The staff were all too happy to tell me about a man that came earlier today to pick up a package and was billed N65,000 but refused to pay such an amount for a N17,000 item and asked that it be returned to the U.S.

I got a contact to a clearing agent (one of them boys), his first question when i told him my item was a mobile device was if it is an Iphone. It seems like custom guys have a hardon for Apple devices. NIPOST had claimed that NAHCO had backlog but i took the liberty to check your tracking code and it is still 'with customs'. I advice you go over there and see for yourself the reason for the delay before all trail to it vanishes.

I picked mine from the post office closest to the address i gave. You could check your or go to customs office at the airport.

No it wasn't. Which is why I suggest you go to custom's office at the airport because my device was shipped to Nigeria on the same day yours arrived at Nigerian customs so even if they have a backlog, yours should ideally have been cleared first.

I'm also in d same issue with the guy, I usually use a third party shipping company. This is my 1st time using Nipost cos my friend in the states said he usually uses them and it's good. He sent me my package to Nigeria using usps and paid $60(abt 22k) and also insured the package worth $200. The package got to Nigeria on the 1st of February after just 4days shipment. I usually get my package after 3days of arrival to nigeria,after 3days nothing from them, I had to go to shomolu nipost to complain, when I laid my complain they sounded so rude, telling me I shud go to Naco and check my package for myslf. I then went there and they told me they have a stupid backlog, to cut d story short, I got a call today saying my package is available for pickup, that I should come with 22k. What rubbish(after paying 22k for it to come to nigeria) the woman at post office is saying it's customs money. What are they charging me for, of which my friend in USA said usps and nipost already has a mutual agreement. My third party shipping company will deliver ur package straight to ur doorstep. I shipped in a shock absorber last week and I was charged just 12k. Imagine it was shipped with nipost, how much dem for charge me. I'm going to post office leta today to tell dem that I don't have that kind of amount to pay, that they shud just send my package back. phone of 60k, I will now pay 22k to receive it. Nonsense country, corruption everywhere.

Funny enough if I buy a phone from China, no b just #500 I go use collect am?

Bro I'm the same situation as the poster you quoted. Since on January 31st mine has been showing with Customs. I've been to my nearest post office, they it's not there. I've numerous nipost numbers and I get the same response. Did this clearing agent help you out getting your package? Was your package a phone?
