But what I meant is that a mixture of Awka, Onitsha, Ogbaru, Idemmili are the combination of what made up the dialect you hear across Igbo land-- It is called Anambra dialect. It is not owned by one particular town. Listen to all the Igbo wrappers, they all use Anambra dialect. My town Uga speaks more of Igbo Izugbe, and I don't speak it in the public except am with my kindreds in the villa.

Unlike in Owerri where you hear people speaking Owerri dialect in conjunction with central Igbo. In Enugu town people mainly speak with central Igbo which is very similar to popular Anambra dialects. For instance when Nnia Nwodo was addressing Asaba people at the remembrance, he was speaking pure Anambra accent. Though you wont see a lot of Enugu people using "Fancha" as opposed to "Hancha" but what they speak is very similar to Anambra dialects and I think it's because of the fact that Enugu was influenced a lot by Anambra people. After they used to be one state.
