Igbo capital my arsse. Who care where meetings are hold. You can keep your dialect and capital and you can even keep your Igbo but you cant mess with the Omanbala spirit in every Anambra person. The Omanbala pride is unmatched!
Enugu is the capital of igboland - OUK 2018. You must go there for meeting and your schools must read igbo textbooks written imo/abia igbo izugbe.

Yes I am from Uga but what we call Anambra dialect is Onitsha/Awka/Idemmili/Ogbaru etc, these areas speaks clean clear and smooth Igbo language.

Even the first Igbo Bible was written in Onitsha dialect. Are you aware?

What Onitsha and Awka indigenes speak is not what is called Anambra dialect, and certainly not what Nwodo speaks.
Same is applicable to Ogbaru dialect. Many of my Enugu and Imo friends don't understand things Osita Osadebey say in his songs. Ogbaru can be nasalized. They also use "Wa" for they.
Onitsha say " raa Mmili" for "nuo Mmili" and uses "Je ga" for "jee".
Those are certainly not what other Igbos know as "Anambra dialect".

What Igbos know as Anambra dialect is what is spoken in mainly Idemili/Dunukofia/Oyi/Anaocha/Njikoka.
Listen to Bob Emmanuel udokwu( Ogidi Idemili) ,.Amaechi Muonagor (Obosi Idemili) or Pete Edochie (Nteje Oyi) speak in Nigerian movies. And see what Anambra dialect sounds like.
It's very light, uses "fa" for they, uses 'i"( pronounced as "yi"wink for "gi". Hardly uses "Sh" sound.

It's definitely not Awka /Nnewi /Aguata /Orumba etc dialects. Those dialects can be heavy and some like Ekwulobia and Umunze are highly nasalized as well.

Nwanne you know you are too informed with details. But what I meant is that a mixture of Awka, Onitsha, Ogbaru, Idemmili are the combination of what made up the dialect you hear across Igbo land-- It is called Anambra dialect. It is not owned by one particular town. Listen to all the Igbo wrappers, they all use Anambra dialect. My town Uga speaks more of Igbo Izugbe, and I don't speak it in the public except am with my kindreds in the villa.

Thank you sir. We in enugu will use whichever dialect seem easiest to understand by the audience. The very light anambra dilect is best suited for informal situations. Tell your people that it does not confer superiority in any way
Re: . by bestview: 5:29pm On Sep 30, 2018
Stop sounding like a defeated clown. I have told you that no Anambra person needs your validation because we know where GOD placed us far above. Anambra dialect is superior and that is why your people including your leaders speak it in Enugu. LOL

Paul Ogenyi(Enugupikin, kasynlives etc), how are you? Have you eaten today? Our people have spoken to you before on phone, what you were speaking that day was Anambra dialect. Igbo Izugbe is rubbish. Even the first Igbo Bible was written in Onitsha dialect. Use your google or shut up

Pazienza, you ignore the derogatory remarks the OFEKE by the name ChimaAdeoye keep making about our Igala brothers. You didn't rebuke him but you are constantly admonishing the efforts of those who are trying to put ignorant folks like odogwu to sword. We have Igala in Anambra and any person that ignores attack on them, well, are you one of us.

You are so sucked into Igbo agenda you almost forgot where you hail from. You dont contribute to the consciousness of the Anambra people. Maybe you need to revisit your priority. As for me I am Anambra firstly and I cant build Igbo land if Anambra if not great!

As much as I'm embarrassed for people like bestview, I think what he said about Enugu people using Anambra dialect may be true to some level.

Unlike in Owerri where you hear people speaking Owerri dialect in conjunction with central Igbo. In Enugu town people mainly speak with central Igbo which is very similar to popular Anambra dialects. For instance when Nnia Nwodo was addressing Asaba people at the remembrance, he was speaking pure Anambra accent. Though you wont see a lot of Enugu people using "Fancha" as opposed to "Hancha" but what they speak is very similar to Anambra dialects and I think it's because of the fact that Enugu was influenced a lot by Anambra people. After they used to be one state.
