Don't worry I had to wait for 23 days before customs released my package then I got it three weeks later

Good evening great people ; imagine been sent a package from united state using USPS ; it arrived Nigeria on the 24th of Jan 2019 and sent to costom thesame day and today 3rd of feb make it 11days with the custom ... I keep on calling the man at the nearest post office they keep telling me that there are lot of goods to be clear due to Christmas /new year backlog is that true? ... secondly hope say those custom people never chop my package as it dey so ... it was shipped with priority mail (insured and registered) even letter they inside .... please I need advice because I'm really anxious and scared of losing that ....

You won't lose it don't worry I got mine last week and it was sent on the 14 of Dec

I need help, I have several items I'm expecting from the us via USPS but they seem to be stucked at the ''Your item departed a transfer airport in MURTALA MUHAMMED, LAGOS, NIGERIA on March 25, 2017 at 6:54 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.'' When I called NAHCO the man I talked to said it has not arrived that the USPS site is updated by USPS that until it tracks on nipost that's when it has arrived. I have my package destined to owerri so missing in the air after departing Lagos on 20th December 2018. No information with Nipost , every information can only found with USPS . I went to the post office in owerri today, they said my letter is yet to get them. It is clearly a registered mail.

What other ways can I get to find where my mail is at the moment

But then I haven’t even seen any sign that it’s with customs, I’m scared it may have been lost.

Please how many days did you have to wait between the time they said it left the airport and when you actually got it? This is my 19th day

About 7-10 days. Can't remember

If your phone number is there, the post office people will call you when it arrives. 17 days is not too long for an unregistered package to arrive; it can take up to 60 days to get to the destination.

Just requested for a refund. That item most likely won't get to you again. I've had that issue a number of times

You can't be sure. It could take few days or few weeks. But you can make the item come out quicker. It depends on how urgent you need it.
Else, just wait for it.

It means you should start getting worried if after 15th March your package has not gotten to you. But for now you'd have to chill. It usually takes an average of 60 days to declare a package sent via post (excluding the likes of FedEx, DHL, etc) missing.

I got this information after tracking my package..Says it has been signed by me,because it shows my name as the person that signed.It arrived on Friday according to the info on NIPOST.Am planing to go to their Lokoja office first thing on Monday morning. Has anyone experienced something like this,who could have possibly signed my package in my name?
