I am telling how it works here. Let her come, marry and then confirm what I said. And you believe America is a paradise. Live here and learn.

Negative are YOU. Ask in any American forum about a young woman marrying older divorced man with 4 kids. Don't blame me, it's the reality here.
Also you don't have a clue how American fathers are, they give all the money to the kids from the first marriage and the kids always ask and ask, car is not working, I need for rent, I need gifts for holidays, then grand kids need this and that, drugs and alcohol troubles, jail, accidents, parties, American kids never grow up until we die. I hope the Nigerian lady won't live or receive his kids in the house. This lady is young and beautiful, I pity her.

You are not far from the truth. Most cases handled by Judge Judy on CBS reality are centered around what you wrote up there.

But if the man is well-to-do, Gudnexvincent ‘s application shouldn’t be much of a problem. She also needs to prepared to be financially independent to avoid future family entanglements in the US.

Godspeed.

He is probably paying a huge child support, maybe spouse support too. The main problem you will have it's the Affidavit for Support for your visa unless he is very rich. Moving to America is sweet but marrying with 4 kids will give you a very hard life here, all his income (60% and more) will go to his 1st wife and kids and for you and even your kids it will be never enough and never the same as for his 1st wife. He is not a marriage material in America because of that.

I really want to believe you're saying all these to help and not for any other reason. Yes! He has 4 kids and pays child support, but in this case, there are questions you should have asked first. I really do love him as much as he loves me, I have never thought of leaving Nigeria until he established contact with me and I fell in love with him. I still don't see why people think that the age gap is much. I've never had a boyfriend withiy age range all my life (maybe because my first bf was way older than I was) so if I hadn't met him, I would have still married someone not less than 40. In this case, I don't see any reason why the consulate will deny me the Visa and I'm not going to America to be totally dependent on my husband (laziness has never been my thing). So we'll be get this Visa, we'll be married and we'll have our happily ever after. Thank you!

Very good advice. Many foreign wives get pregnant too soon and become very dependent, even give money to help a husband to pay his debts and his child support, sign tax return together and end up paying all his spending on his 1st family, also paying his debts traveling to Nigeria, paying for her visa, etc., hoping one day they will pay off all debts and live well. It's good to have open eyes and have the knowledge.
those "foreign wives probably can't tell their left and right hands apart. Lol. Well in my case, I have planned my life and how I want things to be even before I met my man. I just have to make minor adjustments to accommodate my relationship and marriage. Like I said, I'm not desperate to travel, I have great life here. I just found an amazing man that loves me so much and I'm willing to move just for his sake to spend my life with him. I'm not desperate to travel that I'll sponsor his visit and my Visa. I'm leaving everything and everyone I know behind to be with him, he has to show seriousness and commitment by paying all his travel expenses.

Hello NTUK1
1:it doesnt take time if status says its in transit to the embassy closer to you(2/3)days max
2:speaking from experience and advise from elders in this forum best is you &your hubby or wife waits for a mail from the embassy that they are ready to begin the final process before paying visa fees&scheduling appointment to avoid stress of calling them to link your ds-160 number to your appointment letter&co..its always better to walk with one shadows than faster however you may start filling your form(ds160) so that when scheduling ur app ur ds160 num can easily be linked to it automatically.
3:dont know what its like now but someone else might
4: places to do it in abuja will come with the medical packet ,IOM is one of the accredited clinics for medicals in abuja,ur medicals can be done after booking ur appointment and two/3 weeks to your app.. cos it reads too and has expiring date, moreover u need appointment letter to do med cos is strictly by app..so also is getting your police certificate the all have expiry dates..
Attached below is Abuja IOM addy..best wishes..cheers

1. It took less than a week for mine.
2. You need to track the status on the CEAC portal. once it says READY, you can go ahead and schedule an appointment to avoid delays. See link below for why:

3. First available date is February 13th.

You will be also asked if you met. Do not marry or apply after his 1st and only one visit. You will be asked if you met his kids, meet and talk to them at least on Skype, know all about them, if you marry their dad, you marry his kids too. Ask him to invite you to vacations, any Caribbean island, easy is no visa for Nigerians Barbados, ask him to bring his kids to meet them and then he should apply for a fiancee or spouse visa. You even can marry there with his kids present, it will be the best for your visa approval.

The minimum income for sponsor you is about 40K a year (it's his 4 kids + you). Maybe it looks good from Nigeria but not in America. 40K a year is good for 1 person living but it's very small for 4 kids and you as a wife, specially the half or more will go to his kids and the rest, about 20K a year it's a poverty here, very poor life. If he makes 100K and up, it's a thrifty life but it's OK.
Thank you! We've had all that checked and he makes more than what you stated. We're good. I just needed clarification on the processes involved for him to get here.

Sorry I meant health issues. Maybe the fiancé in Nigeria is hypertensive or something. Does it affect the visa applications

Anyone applying to visit or reside in U.S., whether on a temporary visa or a permanent green card, must prove that he or she does not present a health risk to the general public. These requirements are known as health-related grounds of inadmissibility.
You might not be allowed to enter or remain in the United States if you:

have a communicable disease of public health significance
lack required vaccinations
have or have had a physical or mental disorder that causes you to engage in behavior that might be harmful to yourself or others, or
have a history of drug abuse or addiction.
Even if you have never been diagnosed with an alcohol- or drug-related health issue, a record of alcohol- or drug-related arrests (a DUI, for instance) or criminal offenses can result in your being found inadmissible on health grounds.
https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/how-health-issues-can-make-you-inadmissible-the-us.html

Now it is also a possible Public Charge and the Medical Insurance.
1. You can be denied if CO believes you can be on welfare, disability and asking for government help.
2. Your fiance(e) or spouse can't afford or do not want to pay your Health Insurance. Medical Insurance with pre-existing conditions is very expensive.
3. FOR ALL APPLICANTS: if you are taking drugs, smoke weed, it is detected in your Medical Exam and it shows even 1-2 years back, you will be denied your visa, you can take a promise and clean yourself from drugs not using any for 1 year and come to ask for your visa again.

How does one describe a God that’s indescribable?
How do you adequately praise a warrior that’s never lost a batte?
What words are enough to say “Thank You” to the one who daily proves immense faithfulness.

Forgive my spirituality guys.
My visa was approved this morning.
