Hello everyone.I'm supposed to be serving with the B category ,which just begun. But due to some personal hold-ups,I didn't register yet as I'm currently not in Nigeria. Is it possible to get accepted after August 10th(which's the official deadline for registration for overseas graduates)?

Culture / What's Up With All The Hate Y'all? by Quitestorm(m): 7:01pm On Oct 27, 2007
Why do y'all sit in here and just hate on the Hausas? And to think that people on this board are educated, BS!!! It's really a sad paradox!!!! Y'all better get a frigging grip and drop the condescention, ethnocentrism, tribalism and all that ish!Deal with it or get dealt with.Either way,our presence MUST be felt like a Black Panther movement, and we ain't going nowhere.Deal with it or get dealt with.

And oh,big ups to that dude who built the model helicopter. If y'all can't stand it,go sit on a knife.Better yet,go drink bleach on the rocks or something,

Culture / Re: Your Views On Polygamy? by Quitestorm(m): 1:21pm On Mar 31, 2007
Although not explicitly stated,it's quite reasonable to assume that most discussions in here are carried out under an all-Christian context.Anyway,Islam permits a man who's 1. Capable(emotionally, financially & otherwise) 2,Demonstrates,fairness,justice & equality to marry up to 4 wives. Now the issue of actually fulfilling the aformentioned provisos is an entirely different thread.

It's for a reason that the ratio of women to men is unproportional,

Business / Re: Muslims Reject New Naira Notes: No Arabic Inscription by Quitestorm(m): 6:28pm On Mar 13, 2007
It's rather unfortunate that our leaders' opinions are regarded as a collective representation of the Hausa/Muslim community. And while I don't see much sense in boycotting the new notes based on the removal of the Arabic inscriptions ,I simply would be lying if I say that I'm not disappointed @ the way Hausa people are refered to,using derogatory terms, on this board.Actually,I'm very disappointed .I've observed too many threads in which the Hausas are regarded with a ridculous contempt. And with so much dark conviction.I happen to belong to several boards, many Hause dominated, & I haven't come accross this many people looking down on Igbos,Yorubas etc condescendingly. I don't see a unified Nigeria in any stance, unless, ofcourse when it comes to football. And to think that people on here see thierselves as "open minded",

Education / Major Education Decision by Quitestorm(m): 5:20pm On Feb 09, 2007
Greeting to all,

I'm currently majoring in Economics at a European University,of which I hope to graduate next fall.I'm anticipating to graduate with "high honour" or what we call "1st class".If everything goes as planned,I'd be pursuing my masters during the immidiate summer after graduation. However I thought it would be a prudent idea to have a sufficient understanding of what I'm stepping my career foot on before hand, not only because it'd help me decide what courses to take as electives but also because I intend to come back home when I conclude my studies.I thought of MA in Banking & Finance as an excellent choice(I get to earn a certificate from the Institute of Canadian Bankers(ICB) in the process) although I'm a tad skeptical as I do not know the current structure of the job market in Nigeria.Or more precisely,I do not know how fierce or steep the demand/competition for Economists/Bankers is in Nigeria. However, there's plenty of room for counselling/advice/information from expexperienced individuals in this board which, apparently, is why I'm making this thread. It's also worth mentioning that I have the options of Mastering in Economics,International Relations,or Business Administration.

Secondly,I'd like to know what professional exams or it's equivalent,if any,I should consider in order to enhance my resume.

Any educated/informative input would be profoundly appreciated.Pour your thoughts in.Thanks in anticipation.
