Thanks to the poster for the observation.
LESSONS TO BE LEARNT:
(1) Let the dead bury their dead.
(2) If you do not want to be buried with them, stay away from Nigerian politicians.
(3) If you work for them, take your money and run with it. Most of them have done horrific things
to get to where they are, and they will pay, one way or the other.
REMEMBER: When sinners suffer, what happens to the righteous who fraternize with them?
(4) The news had it that somebody had warned the family/community to
pray to avert some kind of calamity. How many people knew about this before the crash?
BOTTOMLINE: Stay away from them!

Foreign Affairs / Re: CIA Director Resigns Over Extramarital Affair by Simplepton: 2:35pm On Nov 10, 2012
lillaowow: How convenient! Now he’s gonna miss
out on testifying before Congress about
the Benghazi affair! Bummer…What unfortunate timing! Darn!
It’s obvious that he’s being REMOVED
to protect the “official” spin of the
story. He can be thankful however that
they are allowing him to leave instead
of him turning up “suicided”!

There will be more to this story than we are hearing today.
The truth will start to come out after the dust settles.
Why 'resign' at this time? Is this the first adulterous
act he has ever committed, at 60?
Those positions are politicized, and occupants become sacrificial
lambs of the State. Remember Collin Powell?
May be these 4-star generals are difficult to eliminate, so they
will be forced to resign, and then be gagged for some time.
Politics / Re: Why US Army Is Recruiting Hausa, Igbo by Simplepton: 8:15pm On Nov 03, 2012
gilmaro: Us will never speak the truth. For 12years now american widows has increased by 120%. Thus Americans no longer join the army cos of the thousands of life they've lost since the William bush administration till this barrack Obama administration. Now they're looking for people to fill in the empty space in thier army, they call it a program designed to fill thier crucial readiness. And our people are joining what will take thier life with great enthusiasm. I wish them good luck.

You absolutely right.
The real reason for the Visa lottery is a case in point: not every body who wins the lottery gets the visa to travel. Why?
What is the relationship between the visa lottery, retiree longevity, and social security benefits in America?

Dnt be surpiz to hear soon dat he is out of jail! Naija 4 live!
He may be out of jail, and he may walk the street, he will for ever remember that at least for once, he has slept on a prison cell as a suspect, if not a criminal.
And who cares? Those who don't care will not care no matter what, even if he dies in prison. The fact remains that if he dares to write an autobiography, people will remind him if he forgets to include that experience.

ibsmooth: A thousand kilometers starts with a step.Good development and this is hoping justice will be meted on him if found guilty @ d end of the day.pls ICPC and EFCC should also go after all previous leaders(ole)that have brought us to this stand still.Expecially ex-gov in Nigeria.

bejay766: In a situation like this, there are two sides.Lets hear his own side of story, then we can have balance coments.
There are many inconsistencies here. When the case gets to trial, the story is definitely going to change. This is sensational journalism.
RIP to the dead woman.

We will all wait and see what the Nigerian President will do.
Somebody said sometime ago that President Jonathan was the most insulted President in the world!
Why not, if issues like this happens, and he does nothing about it.

HOKENDAUQUA, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say an eastern Pennsylvania woman stabbed her fiance to death during an argument on their wedding day.

Na Cola Darcel Franklin is charged with criminal homicide in the death of 36-year-old Billy Rafeal Brewster in their Whitehall Township apartment.

Police say they found Brewster bleeding shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. District Attorney Jim Martin says he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The (Allentown) Morning Call reports that at her video arraignment Saturday, the 31-year-old Franklin wept and choked out, "I did not kill him on purpose."

Neighbor Steve Engel says the pastor who was supposed to perform the ceremony came to the apartment building after being unable to reach the couple, and a number of people who were apparently going to the wedding also showed up throughout the day.

lurkee: It is a disgrace that a country with the resources and the population of Nigeria cannot even get a single medal. We have athletes so why are we so bad? Even the Kenyans and the Ethiopians have more medals that us. Shame. angry

I know some people might say why don't I go out and get a medal but I am not an athlete. I think the athletes and the coaches should do their job. Sigh.

Good observation.

Seriously, can any good thing come out of Nigeria?

Yes, of course. I guess those teams that perform well are supported by their governments.
I respect team Nigeria. If we know what goes on in some other countries in terms of support
for their teams, we will know that it takes a lot of sacrifice to represent Nigeria outside,
especially where government officials will not benefit directly.
