The clamour for onyekuru was not because of this season alone, he scored 24goals last season with almost 8assist and he was replicating the same feat this season if not injury.

Peter Olayinka is a very good play and an utility forward, this season is his breakthrough season, i want to see him do better or move to a better club same with samuel kalu.

But I wonder why we are not talking about awoniyi cos we obviously lack a striker, it is so unfortunate he just picked up an injury resently.

musa needs to be replaced in the SE and mosses simon need to watch his back cos there is too much competition now in that position.

BTW if u say u are followers of SE , CSKA n amker are playing abt now, all SE players r on parade go and watch it.

I respect what Musa has done for Nigeria in the past. I do not think it is right to dismiss all that he has done.

However, if there are players that can contribute more than what musa can contribute right now, then they should be given a chance to prove it. This is why Rohr's March list was a disappointment, it should have been used as a chance to test some probables. Musa is no longer at the top of his game.

England performances have nothing to do with "core players". England has always had core players... Germany went to the confederations cup with a totally brand new team and won it.

The issue here is that there are so many players that can play that musa role right now but av not been called up or tested. If we consider playing him as a CF then we will have to look at his conversion ratio which is poor.

Abeg musa has to give way here.

The main reason why England national team is not doing well is because they go for any player that did way prior to the call up, every national team should have it core players and gently inject in new players gradually.

Musa is part of the core super eagles player, his the assistant captain, he has worldcup experience and for other non footballing reason like playing in Russia for some years will make the worldcup team if his injury free and can get some game time

In the last worldcup player like podolski was called up and was even starting games for Germany even after having a poor season with arsenal, because he was part of the core Germany team.

Oga, musa is not a reliable person to give u goals when u need them, honestly he has enjoyed more call up than most people in super eagles and dont know the reason why.

We have to look at his contributions so far and honestly I cant think of one except 2014 worldcup and only the argentine game. That guy need to give way for new players cos he definitely is not adding any value to the team right now.

He should chop the bench very well. He and Simon are annoyingly crappy that I detest watching the Eagles whenever any of those headless chickens are on parade. More gametime for Bazee, an already in form Kalu and Onyekuru are my picks not those two deficient of the basics.

I wont say because he is having a bad time thats why I am hearing this, but truth is I havent seen musa have a good time, he is so inconsistent and his brilliance comes ones a may be a a purple moon, musa has pace quite alright but honestly he doesnt have that football intelligence.

It was after Lukaku found his feet while on loam at West Brom and Everton that Mourinho considered him worthy enough in his team... That man self...

One thing I learn about football is don't be quick to tag any one a flop when you havent given them enough game time.

Well go and tell ESPN and Wiki that Basco said they are quacks. I watched all these matches boss. Cameroon first came in a friendly, he nodded in a delicious cross from Echiejile(go figure). Luxemburg was a Nacho assist that could have been a tap in but he proceeded to dribble the keeper and fire in. The last one was against Cameroon in the massacre in Uyo.

Assists
His first was against Chad to Salami and that saved us from an embarrassing draw in Kaduna. Next was against Cameroon in our away leg to Simon Moses and we all know how important that was.

So four goals and two assist, SMH, we really need a striker, may be not to displace Ighalo but to deputise and also make him sit up.

Ronaldo plays the striking role now for Madrid and Portugal now

may be for portugal but not madrid, that striking position is too restricted for ronaldo to play, he love to play anywhere in the front, calling him the striker doesnt look ideal cos benzema has that postion.

This was a player DT once had d highest goal chart in d English football league in d year 2015 ahead of harry Kane with 3goals totalling 30goals in a calendar year

Oga sontoly,u can't achieve DT feat if u don't av good striker instinct, positioning, etc as u claimed in ur post

Its eida our coaches here don't knw aw to get d best out of him or d S.E team itself is bad generally in open play as some monikers claimed DT he wasn't giving proper "servicing " from d midfield dept cool

Ok that statement was very harsh, I apologize.

what am saying is that on GWG all his qualities disappear, am thinking if its psychological now cos he plays well in his club but Naija.

I dont know what excuse to give to him again.

Name them? Because the only one I know was against Chad. Two goals against Cameroon and one vs Luxemburg.

The stat was pulled from espn and wikipedia, his second goal was a friendly against cameroon on 11 Oct 2015, i guess thats where he scored the second penalty.
hope you know he was once the skipper of our U20 team.
If u can be able to pull his assist for the eagles my be I will have a rethink about his contribution to d eagles, cos right now he is not adding anything.

Oga na two oo from my source, and thats the point Ighalo is 29 he cant learn new thing, doesnt have basic striker instinct, no good positioning infact we no get striker joor.

4 goals from 17caps 2 penalties shows u he only scored 2 goals from open play, doesnt mean that they have not been feeding him passes??, very poor stats

Ronaldo is not a strike but scores more than any strikers in the world, maybe naija we dont necessary need a striker lets make use of what we have, find one goal scoring winger and we are good to go, onyekuru comes in mind.

Gent: Anderlecht.... Some of the crosses by Samuel Kalu are top, top quality... Ground and air crosses. He is your old-school winger..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZsXvKVYqaI

When you say old school winger I feel like you are underating the guy, this guy is very skillful and can pass opponents with ease, I watched the full match yesterday and saw that he crosses when necessary and cuts in when needed, dude is intelligent with the balls, he was hardly dispossessed.

He is a winger that reads the game easily not one that crosses when no one will be there.
But currently we dont have striker in SE that can utilize crosses, Ighalo is not that pls.

Ighalo is not a reliable striker when you need goals, some of us praying that he hits form, am sorry cos his form only ends in club, and doesnt come often, he and ideye are always goal shy on GWG.

I will rather have martins than Ighalo in GWG, strikers r not meant to dribble but score goals, this umar has improved very well, he should be looked into, cos to be honest the reason Ighalo has lasted this long in super eagles is cos we dont have a better replacement or even a backup.

Now let me come in here, I said against poland that we were lucky infact we played better today than last match.

Its obvious now that joel obi is overated.
without mikel we are shit.
ndidi cannot cover the whole midfield after he is just a man.
even if moses finish the match there will still be no difference.
Uzoho needs more gain, he is getting better.
Awaziem did his best but still needs to improve same with ebuehi they are still young.
iwobi is not serious at all not convincing enough.
and mister lean back Ighalo... that one no be striker oo.
musa na kukuma dey match.
you cant learn new skill at old age onazi n joel time to go.

it wasnt as bad as the polish game, just the score line.

Rohr cheated Joel Obi by playing him in deep defensive midfield....How? Changed him with Onazi ,then plays him[Onazi] in attacking midfield. Our Joel should be allowed to move forward....he is a natural attacking midfielder

nope, they played same position, just that joel was overhyped before the match, the ball he got and shot wide was so unnecessary, i think he should start next match in the attacking position with ndidi - joel - ogu, ogu will help slow things down and hold the ball a bit longer.

Henceforth VicMo should please stay off our freekicks abeg.... He always curves well, but shoots high.

moses always have this awkward shooting style, he cant shoot properly from outside the box, it will always drift, and him now playing freekicks for nigeria is wrong, let him stick with throwings.

he doesn't have a name yet doesn't mean he isn't a better dribbler.. There are many players in leagues that dribbles better than Moses but don't have the name yet we can't say because they aren't known yet then automatically they aren't better dribbler. Most people here will admit they were interested in onyekwuru because of his dribbles and goal scoring capabilities. If there is any other you can tell me?

I will agree with you a bit, onyekuru is a good dribbler but what actually makes him better is his goal scoring, he dribbles and shoot well, but moses doesnt score much goals as much as he dribbles.

But i think moses is still the best dribbler we have in super eagles for now cos onyekuru has not stamped his mark in GWG.

He is quite right.

We lacked creativity. I'm happy we won but I feel it would've been better if we lost. If that'll make our creative deficiencies glaring.

How many clear cut chances did we create. In the WC, we might not be able to soak up pressure against the likes of Spain, Germany, or even Croatia for a full 90mins

I mean, it was annoying watching guys that play in Europe struggle with making simple passes.

If there's only one thing Rohr should strongly work on, it's our passing and creativity.

Our opponents may decide to target Mikel at the WC and give him the matuidi treatment (Onazi, 2014). If that happens, what next??

Common Super Eagles, I know you guys can play far better

Thank you sir. Take away the penalty and u will see that we created nothing, we were just playing the ball into the air, no creativity. I want to see us play more without mikel, we still dont have replacement for him.

Ogbeni, calm down.... our WC preparation is still work in progress.... improvements and corrections will b made as preparation continue...

BTW,what make u think we won't do well at the WC if we play like this? is there any guarantee that our opponents won't make mistake or flop against us?

After serbia game, then i will believe we are getting it, anytime mikel didnt play, we play unattractive football. If we play this same thing against serbia then penalties may not save us.
