Hi @frankob what email address did your brp come from? I have received visa, collected passport but no brp letter. Have checked inbox, spam folder, nothing....

Please house, is there supposed to be a letter showing the decision of your visa application? Is that letter needed to enter the UK? How is this letter sent ? From UKVI or from VAC? Is it sent by email? I have not received such a letter but I have seen others refer to it on this forum. I have collected my passport with visa. Any information on this would be much appreciated. 13th September - Paid Call - they said decision has been made, and can be up to 10 days to get your passport back

16th September - Collected Passport

Thanks for all the helpful information on the forum, for everyone still waiting, hang in there. My biggest lesson was that I should have done priority. If you can afford it, do priority!! In the end had to postpone my travel date - costly and stressful.

I will say it took less than 24hrs to go from "transferred to VAC" to "Received by VAC" in my case

Please house, advice needed. I applied for student visa. I did biometrics on Aug 16th, VI TLS. Its now almost 20 working days status still showing application at DMC. I did paid call today and was told decision has been made on the visa. But the lady says it could take up to 9 working days before I hear back from UKVI. Does it normally take that long to go from decision to the visa/passport being sent to VAC? Please has anyone experienced this? My flight is this week, but its looking like i will have to postpone the travel. Should I escalate and if so, how do I do that?

Eduson002 I called the number and spoke to them, it seems there were not certain if it works this way, they said it is possible the released date may show up, but that they don't think it is immediate, it may take hours or it may be next day...my impression was that they just did not know how it works, seems the appointment system is managed by the Embassy itself

I have 22nd July date and would like an earlier date so your date suits me, but really not sure if this will work, and we have to cancel existing date before we see other dates...I don't want to lose my date...a bird in hand...

eduson002: . You ve never experienced it so I want to tell u from experience that it works. The moment I cancel d appointment 24 hrs to the date, that slot will pop up for all to view and select.

I have committed to my employer to take care of a pending project before I leave, and that means I have to travel (UK) from about mid July till mid August, so I would like to sort out my student visa before I leave for UK, so that when I'm done with project, I can head to school

I doubt that you'll see an early date except if somebody who had booked that date before decides to drop it and reschedule. The chances are very slim. Moreover, the US law for booking states you're entitled to book an interview date at least 28 days in advance. Not less. Meaning that at any point a date shows, you can only see dates that are exactly 28 days ahead of that day and above. Any dates you see a few days earlier than 28 could mean some people dropped that date thus leaving it empty. Before it used to be up to 2 months sef.

Yes, earlier dates can show up. But remember, it is a risk. When I booked, earlier dates showed up days after. God help u.

House - please a question on scheduling interviews. Is is possible that earlier dates show up as available after some time. Today 22nd- 25th July dates were available, does anyone one know if earlier dates become available when people cancel appointments? I need a date in early July, any ideas ?

My school does not start till end August, but I plan to travel out for work from mid July to mid August...
