Obaseki sin before all these (agbado munching.... ) who are not even from Edo as you rightly described is that Obaseki disobeyed their godfathers, Obaseki didn't walk away like Ambode.

The local agbados want to take Edo state back to the Oshomole days when the unskilled and uneducated agberos were running things in Edo. When market women, traders and drivers both private and commercial where subjected to daily humiliation, when Edo citizens in diaspora were too afraid to visit Edo state. When ordinary miscreant were selling people landed properties for themselves, when agberos will be celebrating as a billionaire without any known business, that is the days Oshomole want to take Edo back to and God forbid.

So, Na Tinubu make #1080.00 then in 77 to be worthless today that he is now the president?.
Apart from the set of Awolowo and Co leaders then that was truncated and killed by the greedy southeastern love for Money and to dominate, Nigeria has never had true leaders until now.

The history shows that the Nigerian system problems are caused by the igbos. But they are still shouting bad leadership till today.
Azikwe, Aguyi ironsi are igbos that started the foundation of Nigerian problems till today. How I wished Namdi azikwe allowed separation that time, but he refused. Today, his boys are asking for separation after killing the system. No be juju be that.

The late Chief Awolowo of blessed memory once said in a national TV interview that, they the southern leaders pressured their northern counterpart to stay with Nigeria because, according to chief Awolowo, they wanted a bigger country such as: the US, India etc. So this narrative that only zik asked the north to stay is a distortion of the fact. Both Iye Iyamu and Oshiomole want to be the Godfather of Edo state, using the government treasury to buy influence as they did before, engaging the services of "agberos, cultist, miscreants, tigers and lions" to intimidate and reign like in Lagos state. Edo people rejected them before and will do so again in 2024.

Politics / Re: Supreme Court Got It Wrong On LG Autonomy- Punch Editorial Board by Texs: 7:17am On Jul 16
opalu:
Imported Federalism and Imported Democracy can never work in Nigeria. We have to use what works for us. If having three Tiers of Government is what works for us, so be it. Punch should stop bring Indian style into Nigerian system. When LGs were receiving direct allocations, we saw how wealth was circulating at the grassroots. Because out of 774 Chairmen, atleast if we have 300 good people, Suffering at the grassroots won't be like this. Then EFCC can chase the rest. No immunity for them. But Governors with immunity can use LGA funds to buy Dubai houses and immunity would shield them
Accepting this means concentrating more power in the hands of the federal government that has corruptly misuse powers over the years. It's becoming an authoritarian government and not democracy. If the federal government suspect any state governor of misappropriation, strengthen the existing law of proper accountability and not appropriate more power to itself. So if the LG chairmen start to misappropriate this fund, what will the federal go do.

What Mr Obi & co. needs to do from now is to turn the Obidient to none political party affiliated movement that

supports any identified credible candidates of any political party standing for election. This is what Edo

Obidient have started. There are Obidients in every parts of Nigeria and in all political parties.

Whenever there is going to be election, the movement leaders can find a party that share their ideology to contest.
Politics / Re: Obaseki Dares Benin Palace, Insists On Group’s Ban by Texs: 10:32am On Jun 10
There is no provision for the so-called Okaghele, Agberos or CDAs in Nigeria constitution or state laws, they are outlaws using cult brute force, intimidation and bought influence in high places to rule over government unprotected citizens because the Nigeria state is weak. Even in Lagos, families were allowed or given concession over their historical family land. In Benin and environs, these men took over every family land that our ancestors lived and farmed on, gave some to their cult sponsors and sold most of the land in Benin for themselves. They have the chiefs and Odioweres (village heads) in their pockets. In selling these land, no reservation for public service space such as; parks, markets, schools, business parks, hospitals, local clinics etc. Everyone just watching them use Benin land where families have farmed historically sold to the highest bidder for themselves. Since they sold all the land, now they threatened every developer in edo. These young and middle aged men refused to take advantage of the current government effort to train and make them employable.

Politics / Re: Edo Guber: Akpata Accuses PDP Agents Of Destroying His Campaign Billboards by Texs: 10:30am On Jun 09
Mr Akpata should be demonstrating with payment evidence that those boards installed at
financial cost for commercial purposes were hired and paid for by his party. Those boards
are managed by limited companies. Has he gone to them and hire the bill board?
Before Gov Obaseki, some people were used to doing things with brute force, that is no longer the
case in Edo state under Obaseki. Mr Akpata should go through the established legal process.

I recommend Governor Obaseki model of governance to everyone in offices including the private sectors;
1, Eliminate waste in government.
2, stop sharing /using government money for political patronages.
3, All revenue collection to government account with transparency.
4, Expand, increase and account for all revenue collected transparently. A lot of revenue collected across all states are being diverted. This is where Edo fixed the leakages. To the FGN, please stop capital flight abroad.
5, politician and department heads to live and set example of prudence in government offices.
And 6, reduce the cost of governance.
Lastly, Edo state used to be a civil servant state owning years and months of salaries and pensions. Then came a single minded humble but serious individual with a plan, the result is there for all to see.

Wages and salaries in Nigeria are too low, government must find a way to enable Nigerians to spend more, that increase employment and productivity in the economy.

Sometimes you have to penetrate the heads of politicians and deduce his they think. Watch how he will pay this new wage till his preferred man comes into power, then the new man will revert to 40k or 50k with the excuse that 70k is not sustainable compared to the state's revenue
The new government can pay more if he continue to use Obaseki template.
No waste or corruption in taxe collection, prudent management of state resources,
No sharing of state money, Digital civil service = less room for corruption.

I tell you what, we in Edo are witnessing the best human and material resources manager
in our life time in this country. Obaseki is humble and dedicated to his work. He achieved
these by meticulous planning, eliminates corrupting wastages, no sharing of Edo resources to
anyone, not allowing anybody to push him around. With C of O he made easy, his government
now collect more property taxes than other state government. It's for the next government to
keep up with Obaseki template.

Thank you, why was no government called out over the past thirty years for not fixing Lagos Ibadan express in extension shagamu Benin road. Not even Lagos or OYO state governments were insulted by anyone. You like to hate and insult Obaseki because, he refused to walk away when the godfather tried in vain to sack him and because he is refusing to share state resources. Come to Edo state, it's like a construction site, the only government who have be paying 40K as minimum wage now increased to 70K and not owning anyone. You know why, no sharing, He came in digitised the civil service, eliminate waste and linkages that is why he can do all these things.

Weldone to the team; Nigerians and non nigerians that fought this out, from the former minister Mr Malami who showed passion in stopping this fraud on Nigeria. Now, I call on the present government to set up a task force to fish out all those that were involved in these massive fraud to sell out the country and perhaps, other simillar fraudulent contracts that have been used to enrich private individuals and coperates bodies to the detriment of Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Our Ancestors Built This Wall 600 Years Ago. Today We Would Pay CHINA To Do It. by Texs: 9:39pm On Sep 22, 2023
The Bini moat we grew up to meet in the early 60s was so deep with think forest for hunting and big logs. The sand wall from the escavation was very high in some area. However, there was no enforced laws to protect it, locals used the sand to build houses and construct roads, the moat is used as refused dumping stes around Benin City, erosion sand and debris have filled it up. Government and local people never really gave any thought to it's historical significances even till now.
One more thing is, there were many mini moats built to protect several villages outside Benin City that historian never wrote about. Some of the villages with high class chiefs and deities had moat built around them.

If you don't campaign how can you win. APC and LP could not campaign for lack of free money from their party office Abuja.

Beside, Edo people are now better informed, they know who is protecting their interest, no more borrowing, owning workers salaries, no more CDAs and agberos, market women now feel safe, there are road maps for electrification, education, agriculture, industralisation, structural digitilisation of government institutions and infrastructural developement.

BALLOSKI:
Edo saw no development until Oshomhole became governor. You people should have listened to him when he saw Obaseki failing and recommended another person. You were beating your chest and screaming "Edo no be Lagos". Yes, Lagos is ahead of Edo in every indicator. Now Obaseki has failed.

But, Oshiomole used to tell Edo people that all the successes of his administration was due to Obaseki menticulous plaining and hard work as the chairman of his economic team you forget. "seating there Mondays to Friday for eight years, Obaseki did not recieve a salary or ask for contract" - Oshiomole.
Know that we Edo people are so proud of Gov. Obaseki, for all the investors/investment he has be able to attract to Edo for the past 15+ years.
He creates a calm enabling environment for investors to come in to Edo, for diasporas to come home and invest, for Edo peaple to live in peace, using government money to govern and not shared to powerful influencial people as before, not borrowing as before, not owning workers salaries as before, we are proud of Obaseki developmental stride in electricity; Osiomo and Azura, Education; EdoBest, technical/ nursing schools. Farming and agriculture, establishing modern and digital civil service structure, ETC. best in Nigeria. All this noise and insults on social media will not change anything, Edo people know the peace they are enjoying since agberos and land grabbing CDAs were sent packing from public space by this Gov. Edo in diaspora can now come home unlike during the time of and before Oshiomole. We just hope Edo voters are able to elect someone like Obasek next year to continue with the present development trend.

What oshiomole is to Shaibu is different from what he is to Obaseki. Oshiomole was more of assisting Obaseki to power. & Obaseki ability to defeat Oshiomole was as a result of a direct revolt from Edo people against Oshiomole. Why do u think Shaibu is always on khaki just like Oshiomole? Oshiomole took care of Shaibu right from his school days, Shaibu did wrong fighting him. It was a classical example of biting the finger that fed him.
Oshiomole also used his office as the APS national chairman to disqualify Obaseki and sent him out of APC.

Politics / Re: Edo 2024 Face-Off: Obaseki Disbands Deputy Gov, Shaibu's Media Team by Texs: 8:02pm On Aug 29, 2023
MAKAPOLY:
There is something about this Obaseki that reeks of betrayal and politics with bitterness.

As for Shaibu, I know it will come to this, he didn't only bite the fingers that fed him but also burnt all bridges.

I know he will easily put the disbanded media guys on his personal payroll, but this time around, not for professional engagements but for inside job propaganda against his boss.

There is no betrayal in Gov. Obaseki, he is a typical Benin man and just one of the few remaining Nigerian who insist on fighting for the right thing. Oshomole started this game, he observed that, Mr Obaseki who served him quietly for 8 years as economic team leader without salary and thought he is a novices in politics.
Oshomole brought in Obaseki and Phillips as his deputy to control them in office and remove Obaseki to install Phillip his cousin if he Obaseki refuse his Oshomole godfather's order. He wanted to plant the assembly speaker and members to realize that objective, Phillips exposed him and sided with Obaseki. Phillips was right; how would you think Edo people will feel, to remove a Benin man and install his cousin/son/junior brother after he already served eight years? Furthermore, Phillips believed that, due to that singular act of support for Obaseki, it's his turn to be governor and Gov. Obaseki has to support him. Phillips is now asking Mr Obaseki to assume the role of a godfather and install/support him, a fundamental principle they both battled in Oshomole and other PDP grandees including Wike, Dan Orbil and co. This is the situation.
