Religion / Re: Are Christians Allowed To Have Sex After Traditional Wedding? by TOKNOW: 1:17pm On Apr 04, 2018 |
I also wish to add that Christian marriage must not be in the church. A church minister can come to the venue of marriage and and we'd a couple. |

EverGlorious: I CONCUR WITH YOU ABSOLUTELY. It is Christian marriage, so if you say you are a Christian, do it the way Christianity ask you to do. A church minister MUST pronounce you husband and wife to make it Christian and that is after the bride price. The parties May not be necessary. |

Good day great people. Please I need advice on this issue. We got a civil engineer to supervise our building of three bedroom flat. He was not around when they moulded the blocks . About 9 months after the building has gotten to roofing level, we noticed some major cracks some parts of the building , even a wall in the building fell. I care about safety so much that I don't mind bringing down the whole building, but will the foundation still be okay or should we do another one. Some people are advising us on amendment of the house, however I feel is better to loose money than to loose lives. Pls what do you think also note that the house has not been roofed yet. Thank you for your help. |
Religion / Re: Why I Would Forever Continue To Tithe - My Personal Experience. by TOKNOW: 12:06pm On Mar 12, 2018 |
I personally do not always give my tithe to church, in fact I give less than 1 % of it to church when I feel like, but the rest and even more goes to the poor and they are just everywhere, I wish I have more to give them and sincerely speaking, if I give all my tithe to church, knowing full well of ones other financial responsibilities which are so very necessary for family and relations, I would not have much to give the poor. But this my way of giving almost all the tithe to the needy and including some portion of my personal money has gone a long way and making me more fulfilled. Talking about the blessings, if you know me, you would know am blessed all round. |
Career / Re: How Do I Tackle This At My Work Place? by TOKNOW: 8:19am On Mar 06, 2018 |
You need to stop it now even you should have done that the first time. Just be very very polite and say sir/madam, pls don't be offended . I don't mean to disrespect you, just that I feel very uncomfortable after signing this. Pls I would not want to sign it again. Back it up with prayers and in the end you will be happy with yourself. Uphold your integrity. |

A little tips on how am coping in this high dollar era. Before I left, I could not get any PTA after my efforts, I eventually bought 3000 dollars at 467 and left. Before then,I had done some money gram,so I picked up my money gram. I got to know that GTB master card does online/pos transactions at 320/dollar,but only 100 dollar per month, what I did was to get four people (brothers, sisters, inlaws) whom I paid in an equivalent of the 100dollar and who have GTB cards, so they gave me their card details, and every month I have 400dollars at 320 naira to shop online or do Uber and stuffs like that.I only use my GTB card on POS where the physical card is needed. I also got a credit card from Diamond bank that gives me 1000dollars per month, at the rate of 400 naira/dollar. I use this card to pay for parts of my hospital bills and any bill I can pay partly in case if the 1000dollar limit finishes,I continue the payment next month. These methods have really been helpful to me, even as my hubby was coming,he could not also get travelex PTA from Abuja and black market rate was/is 470, I advised him to just buy 1000dollar just to have some cash on in case of POE, that the method am applying is sufficient. 15 Likes |

O yes,its time for me to share my experience. I could not get PTA from Abuja Travelex on 31st OCT. due to non availabilty, they said they might begin to sell by the next week, that is this week. I had to buy from black market at 467, so I decided to buy 3000 dollars. I flew BA the next day 1st Nov. It was a lovely flight, stopped briefly at Heathrow London, 6 hrs journey, then boarded for the second leg to JFK 7hrs, also lovely, both legs had full flight. After using the self help kiosk at JFK, was directed to CBP1 CBP1 : Why are you here? me: To have my baby CBP1: Where do you work and what do you do for them? me: Bla bla bla She took me to another room, immediately I sat down,I was called cos I was the only one in that room, that was around 9pm. CBP2: Why are you here? me : To have my baby CBP2: Where do you work? Me: bla bla bla CBP2: Let me see your payment receipts Me: My hospital and doctor are not accepting payment until arrival I have their correspondences CBP2: Let me have them( I handed them over to him) CPB2: Anybody can write this Me: No, as you can see,its gmail generated CPB2: How much do you have and how much will it cost you to have your baby here Me: About 3k plus cash and about 17k in cards. Its going to cost me about 7500 dollars CPB2: If you spend extra day in hospital, how would you pay Me:I can pay,I have money in my cards and I sent money gram and Western Union which I will also pick up. I have my bank statements. CBP2: Let me have them( I handed it over to him, he went through them) CBP2: Who is sy..... in your Doc. correspondence Me : She is the Doc. secretary or so, you can call them CBP2 : I will call them ( He asked me to sit down and he made a call) CBP2: He called me over again and said, but its b/c of citizenship you came Me: Not really, this is going to be my third CS and psychologically my family and I felt it would be better I do it where there is better healthcare due to our past experiences and that of our colleague and family friend CBP2: OK, thank God you have these correspondences, if not you would have been on your way back to Nigeria, anyway they would not have given you Visa at the Embassy without these correspondences Me: I know what is required and I was prepared ( Thanks to Nairaland) CBP2: Thats good, others should also come prepared He asked me to go and sit down while he stamped my passport until April, and gave it to me and wished me well on my pregnancy, I said thank you. NB: I was never scared or felt that I would be sent back b/c I felt that I have not committed any crime nor whatsoever could cause my deportation, but I prayed. I came out and took my bags, 1 was missing, I was not sent to Agric upon all I declared, although my palm oil was seized at Abuja. I went to British Airways office and reported,we were about 10 having the same issue. They compensated each with 43 dollars worth credit card and promised to send the bags to our final destination. They had actually helped me reduce my stress. 1 went to the air train and finally called my hotel shuttle, slept over in New York, then proceeded to Houston the next morning with Southwest airline, flight of about 4hrs. Thank God for His mercies. Thank you great people. 32 Likes |
