Hi All,

Will IQAS accept a sealed transcript addressed to another Institution or will it be returned?

Thanks for your prompt response.

Hi TheBae

Just as I was about sending a mail to CIC this morning I got a mail from them requesting for my dad's passport. Thank you so much. The passport will be taken to the VFS office tomorrow but how long will it take to get it back?

@Torishe is the visiting visa out yet?
I sent them 3 emails daily for the past 3 days and the passport got dispatched today. If you're running out of time, i'll advise you to send them a COMPASSIONATE PLEA regarding the application and attach a ticket booking itinerary (you don't have to pay for the ticket). I know 3 people who have done this in the past week and got their visiting visas few days after

Hi TheBae

I actually applied on behalf of my father on July 28, 2015. The thing is my brother is getting married on September 13 in Canada and he wants to be there for event. So you're suggesting I send a compassionate plea to them? Please can you give me the email address I applied online.

Thank you so much

^^^ I applied on behalf of my parents on July 14 via paper route and we haven't gotten any response so it's not about the route. CIC website states that it takes up to 50+ days to process visiting visa
@Torishe

Thanks I really appreciate your response

Be calm!

Read somewhere the visitor's visa takes more time, don't know how accurate that is though.

Thanks I'm patiently waiting.

Hi Everyone,

I applied for a visitor's visa on behalf of my father on July 28, 2015 I did an online application. He went for his biometrics on July 30 up till now I've not received any information from the embassy regarding his application. Someone told me I shouldn't have done it online. Please I need your advice my father has to be in Canada by mid September. I wonder what could be happening to the application.

Looking forward to your responses

Thank you

Vicjustice and Justwise,

Thanks for your replies to my questions. Is it compulsory the person inviting me shld provide all of these documents

1. Invitation letter (stating the relationship btw us and the purpose of iniviting me)
2. Utility Bills (e.g tax, house, electricity etc)
3. Statement of Acct
4. Data page of residence permit or passport page

The person inviting me feels this is rather too much or probably the embassy is up to something funny. Pls advise on what she actually needs to send to me

Vicjustice, u know diff pple give diff advices. I'll do as you've suggested. I remember the consular said then that he wasnt too convinced, that was the reason for the refusal. I'll put the right info this time so as to guard against future complications. Thank you so much, my case is not that bad afterall. Thanks Vicjustice smiley

Thanks just wise. He cant even remember the date of birth he used again!. Do you advise i should use his real date of birth in my application now, i dont want to complicate issues. Should i also state that i have misplaced the old passport and cant remember the passport number again? I'm confused. undecided

No i didnt change any information about myself. My hubby's case is another issue, he used a passport with a wrong date of birth and he also filled that date of birth on the form in 2004. Though, i'm the only one applying now, i dont know if putting his real date of birth in the column for spouse's information will be a prob to my application now. This issue has prevented from applying to the UK but i just wanna summon up courage.

Thanks. I cant even remember why i was rejected, though i applied for 2yrs instead of 6mths. What do i do about the lost passport? I cant remember anything about it. Are you saying that i should state that i have applied before and cant find the other passport? What is your advice regarding this.

Hi all

I need an advice from the house. I applied for UK visa in 2004 but was refused. However, the problem is that i misplaced the passport and i cant remember the passport number either. I am planning to apply for visiting visa now and i'm kind of confused on what to do. Someone told me that i should write in the application that i've not applied before, he aslo said that their records is based on those who applied after the thumb printing started. How true is this.

thanks

I think most of us do not have the courage to be on our own, u still have to consider the fact that the biz might not trive and that alone could make one stick to a job that at least gives u something at the end of the month.
