Foreign Affairs / Re: Mercenaries In Libya Captured And Beaten By A Mob!--video by totalabi: 4:38pm On Feb 22, 2011 |
@ last page You are definately Anti West, your post reeks of statements accusing the so called west of playing down on others yet aggravating the case of Libya. I dont think it would be easy to unseat such despots without some people paying with thier lives. stop pretending that the violence in other countries' were played down. Even Egypt, a reliable US ally was not spared by your the so called western media. The western media said that 'Egyptians will be the ones to determine Mubarak's faith'. it is |
Business / Re: Was Abiola An International Drug Baron? by totalabi: 4:30pm On May 07, 2010 |
@mekuxxx Since I joined Nairaland, I have never met anybody as tribalistic as you are on this forum. It goes to show a lot about the kind of exposure you have. It reeks of ethnicity, tribalism, nepotism and anything that preaches division among a group of people. One thing is for sure, you are myopic and it wont take you very far in life. Honestly, Top Leadership positions are not meant for your types as you will definately not be able to accept the strength and progressiveness you find in a set of people that are not of your group. This your believes about the Yoruba people stems from the old Biafra story about Awolowo and Hausa people and how the Ibos were betrayed. Dont forget that as Ojukwu had his own selfish idea of making a name for himself, so also the Hausa and Awolowo had theirs. The same Ojukwu that wanted to cause a cession also had tried to contest as President in the same Nigeria he tried to break up and even supports Babangida a guy from the same North, that supposedly tried to stop him from his cessation plans!!! As you continue to hold on to this thoughts you become more and more myopic. Please think deeply beliefs make up a man and determines his attitudes. I wonder if you have being able to integrate or adjust to a proper society. I strongly doubt it. |
Family / Re: Is Her Mom Using Her For Slavery In London ? by totalabi: 4:33pm On May 05, 2010 |
@ poster: I am very familiar with this kind of stories, alot of this happens in the UK. My elder sister's case was exactly like this one but my aunt was the one in question. The normal excuse such people give is that I paid for your fare to the UK and brought you up blah blah. This is emotional blackmail, this individuals are master manipulators, domineering, self centered lazy people who want to use other people to satisy their whims and caprices. Her mother may plead with her to make contributions to the home but she shouldnt outrightly take everything from her, Girls of her age are married with kids and so she she ought to see herself as an adult and independent. Imagine her mother telling her that she wants to finish her house in Nigeria obviously her salary if for the mother to complete her house in Nigeria not for the girls upkeep. Your GF is obviously scared to death of her mother and that is the grip the mother has over her, Her mother is very domineering. if she doesnt want to end up depressed, bitter and frustrated, she had better leave the mother fast, whatever inconviniences she would suffer in trying to adjust to a new life on her own is nothing compared to the number of years she has being enduring this. Tell your GF to be very bold and not allow her mother to dominate or manipulate her into being a slave. She is taking her on a guilt trip to manipulate her into be enslaved. If the mother truly loves her she would always consider that those who work so hard deserves to be paid adequately. The mother should be grateful that she has a dutiful daughter. my sister had to escape from my aunt in the end. After my sister left, the other girl she brought from Nigeria went through the same thing and was even forced to stop going to school. A word is enough for the wise |
Politics / Re: Yar’adua Returns To Work Next Week - Associates by totalabi: 5:44pm On Mar 22, 2010 |
Nobody should loose sleep over his return. Let him return first then we start from there. If Jonathan had not sacked the FEC, Yaradua wouldnt be ''resuming to work by next week''. I believe this is just to throw a spanner in the wheel of progress this will make Jonathan scared I presume. Let him resume now. He failed to resume for up to 3 weeks since 'returning' to Nigeria and suddenly when his loyalist were thrown out, he suddenly wants to 'resume'. Nonsense |
Religion / Re: Women In Trousers: Heaven Or Hell by totalabi: 2:54pm On Mar 22, 2010 |
Very funny '' a woman shall not wear a man clothing" trousers always comes as the handy example dont forget this same bible warns against men wearing womens clothing. However some parts of Nigeria like the Niger Delta Area men actually tie wrapper, dont forget wrappers are meant for women too, why should men use them. Also in scotland men wear skirts are they on their way to hell? Nigerians and hypocrisy. Please dont tell me that it is the tradition in those places i just mentioned and that men have their own kind of wrapper too then it will pass that women have their own trousers too. These advocates of this old testament laws can as well start making animal sacrifices and start wearing sashes or better still start roaming in the wilderness. Senseless hypocrites |
Politics / Re: Sokoto: Coalition Issues 24-hour Ultimatum To Non-Indigenes by totalabi: 4:44pm On Mar 15, 2010 |
@ikenagwo it's sad the Yoruba man is a born coward but if igbos have to be the vanguard of bravery and surivial of sanity in nigeria then we are more then up for the task. We have been stock piling russian weapons since 2000 and these guys are still swinging sticks and making noise. I would love too see these uneducated cow blood drinking people try. It is sad to see people like you talk without much reasoning and sense. Did that mail say anything like Sokoto indigene are out to attack igbos only. or are they collaborating with Yorubas, I see in you the long hatred you ve borne for the Yoruba race. Why must you be blinded by your hatred for other people and not allowing reasoning to take the better part of you. Apparently you wont be able to work with or tolerate people other than your tribe dont be so narrow minded my dear the world is bigger than what you see. |
Romance / Re: Am I Over Reacting? by totalabi: 2:50pm On Mar 11, 2010 |
From what I can percieve your lady has met somebody she feels is better than you. Hence she enjoys such company more than she used to with you. she is very used to you and there is nothing new that you want to offer her again. You are also her safe card, because she feels she already has you. To be sincere you are now her plan B. I would like you to answer the following questions first before you follow my advice; 1. Check yourself, do you give her space at all since you started your relationship with her? 2. Do you try to rush her into doing things that will benefit you only? 3. Do you allow her mix with other men, even as friends or you question the identity of everyman that she talks to, waves to, receives their calls because for me you sound very very possesive. it is not enough to love a woman but also allow her to be herself. 4. Was she at anytime heavily dependent on you and now her status has suddenly changed, may be she could probably afford alot of things without you providing them. If you answer no to all this question then i advise you to do this: 1. Try all that you can in all your might not to call her in a week or two. Please restrain youself and see if she calls you at all, you may be scared that if she doesnt call you you might be giving her the opportunity to meet this other guys and the worse could happen, but please for your dignity and pride dont call her, see if she calls you. 2. If she calls you please act very cold towards her allow no affection or pleasantries 3. Also anytime she is around get a friend to call you and act suspiciously as if another lady was calling you or pick the call and act lovingly to the other party on the phone as if something is between you two. i did this for my elder brother the lady sat up fast 4. After 30minutes of she being in your house tell to start going that you are expecting somebody or you are having a date some where, she will sit up fast as she sees her plan B going down the drain. 5. If she invites you to her house or something tell her if you have time u will make it or tell her you dont have time. 6. Just act distant and cold towards her, i bet if she still loves you, she will adjust and begin to monitor you and fight and ask questions Just dont kill yourself look beyond what you have invested in her life. I can tell you there are other ladies with excellent behaviour that will make you happy. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Spring Bank Interview - Urgent by totalabi: 9:13am On Feb 27, 2007 |
hi, All interviewee of Spring Bank, the Spring Bank interview is purely academics. I was there last week for the interview and the questions asked bordered around what I studied in school which is banking & finance. Also some current affairs questions like meaning of acronyms like EFCC,NAFDAC and also names of ministers and their portfolio. If you studied within the management and social sciences you will get core questions from your disciplines but if u belong to other disciplines aside the Social and Management Sciences be prepared for questions like current affairs and questions about spring bank and their directors.Lest I forget you will be facing a panel of three interviewers. One sits by you to check your composure and the others ask you questions. Pray not to face a woman. You will be successful in Jesus name! All the best |
