kenzspunpy: I actually wonder if some of these muslims are humans. I say some because I'm from a muslim- christian background in the south west and non of my muslim family members exhibit any kind of fanaticism and religious insanity. How do u kill people just because they are not of your faith? To me, that is complete insanity. Was Mohammad, whom they seek to protect at all cost born a muslim? If people of other faith were being killed during his time, will he ever have the chance to embrace islam? Do you ever force people to take to believe in your cause if it is truly genuine?. These guys are just senseless, inhuman, insane and devils from the pit of hell! To whom human life is worthless, insanity describes such a character. These guys are simply hungry cannibals, unfit to be called humans... And unfit to be called Muslims. Even if a muslim is killed under any circumstance, it is expected of his kinsmen to seek justice not vengeance. Question Gumi should be asked is: If Prophet Muhammad kinsmen were to be killed what would he have done? I am sure Gumi would have looked down and ashamed of himself for that comment. This is a sort of misinterpretaion of Islam from people who others (Muslims and non-Muslims) consider renowned scholars of Islam whereas they are actually a misrepresentation of Islam. May Allah forgive them. Please, it is wrong to judge a religion based on the actions of its adherents, first of all, we have to know that they are humans and very cunny, selfish and unpredictable. To do otherwise for Islam will be like saying that Christianity supports Homosexuality just because some Churches in the West ordained gay bishops. Or just because the judges in Nigeria have chosen to selfishly interpret the constitution wrongly means that we don't have a good constitution in this country? Humans should be blamed not the books nor the institutions. Happy new year in advance to all. |
Career / Re: Worst 2012 Employers, Share Your Experience by vesto09(m): 5:08pm On Dec 21, 2012 |
It was a shock to know that there are causal workers working in Aso Rock. If that can happen there then all the Lebanese, Indians and Chinese employer in the country would have moral inclinations to enslave Nigerians right here in Nigeria. The problem is not with these foreigners. Rather, it is with Nigerian representatives at the managerial level in those organizations especially the H.R Managers and the Company Secretaries who allow this horrible things to happen. These set of Nigerians that I am dealing with where I work @d moment are what you can called moral(e) vampires. It pays the employer that 'our own' help them to inhumanly treat fellow countrymen the ways they do. Many people stay in these companies because they have to work not because they want to work there. If you work for a company that is doing well your expectation of the employer will be different from the one that is doing very well. But when a doing-very-well business decides to compensate the employees as if the business is not doing well then there will be agitations. Should you openly agitate, you just got fired! I could write a book on the inhuman treatments going on in some of these companies. One of my facilitators at a Finishing School once told me when I brought up the issue that that issue fall within my circle of concern rather I should focus on my circle of influence. Properly speaking, she was saying that I should do my job like zombie. If she knew what ran through my mind, she would have cried at that moment. Now, I remember Fela Anikulapo Kuti. The way it is, the case of Employers and employees in Nigeria is like that of a rock and an egg: if an egg hit the rock, it is unfortunate for the egg should the rock hit the egg is equally unfortunate for the egg however, that it has been unfortunate for the egg does not mean it will continue to be unfortunate for the egg. |

Family / Re: The Challenges Of Being The 1st Child by vesto09(m): 12:38pm On Dec 11, 2012 |
I am the first of six. My father passed on years ago when I was just in 100level at the university. And before any of my sibling could enter the university. Although, I was working as casual, through act of sacrifice I managed to support my family and support my brodas when they got admission into the university. Along the line, two of my youngest sibling got a very low-paying job and they began to take care of themselves, a sister and a mum even though any financial need above N10,000 will be referred to me. I managed to finish my B.Sc, Finishing School and i am about to conclude a Master Degree. Luck came in 2008 after 6 years of casual work on a salary scale of N22,500. Although, with N22,500, i was able to get a room apartment for myself while I paid my parent rent and support the first of my brothers that enter UNILORIN. He graduated this year. The second one will graduate from UNILORIN next year.Today, with a moderate income the challenge is never ceasing but one thing i have learnt is "You have to pay your self first - a defined salary" once you get paid at work. I started this two years ago. And it has perfectly worked for me. Four years ago a very younger brother and I contributed for a year to set up our mum to sell food provisions so that she will be able to take care of herself and our last born. It worked. I am not rich however I am satisfied that God used and helped me to help my siblings. The down side is my relationship with ladies, they think i am stingy so i hardly keep a girlfriend. I dont know why girls are always hyper-interested in material things today. However, i am happy that I am doing my bit to help ma family. Coming from a royal family (extended family) that cherishes education it would have become an undoing not to support my siblings. If you are in that shoe today, you have got to learn how to functionally redistribute ur income to urself and ur dependents. I hope u will learn somthing from my own experience. U r not alone! |

I remember Wole Soyinka saying that what people do in their bedroom is nobody's biz while the West was trying to muscle Nigeria into accepting gay right. Then, I remember ma grandma saying that: Too much book they make person go mad. Without respect, me think prof. Soyinka has gone mad, perhaps the reptiles have gotten him. that sh*t of a professor lose all the respect i had for him dat day. The same western (or sorry, I meant to type reptilian) ideology he is championing makes polygyny (polygamy) illegal but legalise homosexuality. sh*t! i remember a professor of mine, Prof. Adebayo Ninalowo saying that "absolute freedom leads to chaos". unfortunately, most world religions have been captured by the reptiles with Islam remaining the last to be captured. Therefore, the reptiles use theories varying from conspiracy theory to chaos theory or any form of theory to discredit the religion. First they legalise prostitution and institutionalise it, same with cultism, inter alianow they want to shove homosexuality down peoples' throat. Read somebody comment saying Atiku name is missing, sh*t! these ppl are cultists, what do you expect? and they pretend to be people who believe in the good books. For all i care, all LGBT should go to hell and b*rn into ashes. Including all their supporters who a'int LGBT. They are mosquitoes, what do you do to mosquitoes? If you treat a bad issue with kid gloves, what happens? Corruption, armed robbery, kidnapping, homosexuality, inter alia deserve death penalty BCOZ they are bad choices not diseases. |

By a staff reporter, with AAP Prime Minister Julia Gillard's compromise decision to have Australia abstain from a vote on the status of Palestine at the United Nations has continued to divide the party, with backbench Labor MP Michael Danby warning that the decision to abstain threatens to undermine Labor's tradition of supporting Israel. Ms Gillard had initially argued at a cabinet meeting that Australia should oppose the motion. But as many as nine cabinet ministers opposed her stance and Ms Gillard's leadership of the party was cast in doubt due to the stiff opposition to her position. After a series of tense meetings earlier this week, Ms Gillard presented a compromise position that would have Australia abstain from the vote. http://www.businessspectator.com.au/bs.nsf/Article/Palestine-UN-vote-continues-to-divide-Labor-pd20121129-2HMKK?OpenDocument&src=hp7 |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Saudi Implements Electronic Tracking-System For Women by vesto09(m): 7:25pm On Nov 26, 2012 |
Islam views women and children as 'vulnerables' who MUST be protected in the society. It views men as capable of protecting themselves. This culturally determined belief (view) is universal (across cultures). Therefore, it is the duty of the state to protect those who are vulnerable in the society. If saudi Arabia take the lead in this innovation, it is unfortunate that many centric-whatever will always see it as barbaric or backwardness just bcoz it has to do with Islam. Haba! |

For understanding on societal reaction to deviance read: Curzon (1978) Tappan (1960) Sutherland and Cressy (1974: 4 to 8 also read works by Cessare Lombrosso on "criminoloids" Beccaria Cesare *Jeremy Bentham. I believe scholarly works are more knowledgeable than novels. By the way, you can also read piece(s) on oriental approach to crime and rate of crime in that region. |
