Politics / Re: Best And Worst States In Nigeria by wireless05: 10:09pm On Oct 13, 2011 |
thank you my brother SLAP 1, what has this issue got to do with 2 out of 5 in SE and 2 out of 6 in SW? does that address the issue? so south east is happy that 2 of their states are healthy as compared to 2 from the south west, these kind of people should be deleted by the moderators. |
Politics / Re: Fg Launches N50BN 'YouWin' Job Creation Fund by wireless05: 10:02pm On Oct 13, 2011 |
N50bn to create 80,000 jobs, how much did akala, goje, doma and daniel misappropriate? this is trash, if they strengthen our institutions, industries, agriculture, they can employ 1m youths in 4 years |
Phones / Re: What Is A Blackberry Without BBM? by wireless05: 9:53pm On Oct 13, 2011 |
The title of the thread is What Is A Blackberry Without BBM? Why all the criticism? yea i agree everyone has a preference but the question remains, RIM had a problem which could happen to any company. If you work in IT or any technical environment, loads of challenges abound, so let us criticize on apps, games and other features which blackberry smartphones may or may not have. but as per bbm, it was just a technical problem which i believe they are trying to resolve if not already resolved. Cheers guys!!! |
Business / Re: An Open Informal Letter To Beaf On Fuel Subsidy by wireless05: 7:16am On Oct 11, 2011 |
Anyone who thinks the government will spend the money realized from subsidy is only making a mistake. The government is not interested in you and I. Do you know how much have been spent on turnaround maintenance for the nations refineries in the last decade. How comes they are all operating below 50%? If they really meant for the refineries to work at optimal capacity, they can achieve it. Its not rocket science. Total installed capacity is 445,000 bpd which is well over the 30million litres required for local consumption. The government is not sincere, when they stop stealing money they can implement policies. So guys stop insulting each other, rather lets understand ourselves and how this country operates. How can only 4 govs steal over N150b. Isnt that half of the subsidy |

Politics / Nigerian States And Revenue Generation by wireless05: 6:49pm On Oct 10, 2011 |
Fellow Nairalanders!!! I am starting this thread for a discussion on how states can generate revenue internally without the need to always rely on monthly FGN allocations. You will all agree with me that every state in Nigeria has the potential to generate its own revenue to help boost their local economies. A few states we know have great advantages, the littoral states (oil producing) and Lagos which has been the commercial capital of Nigeria for a long time. Lagos survived during the Obasanjo-Tinubu rift. It is my opinion that every Nigerian state has some one form of natural resource or the other or at least a potential for agricultural boom or even tapping into the intellect of the state. Most states in Nigeria produce one cash/food crop or the other that can earn significant foreign exchange (e.g Sugar: Kwara, Adamawa Cocoa: South West Rubber: Edo/Delta/Rivers and most of south south Oil Palm: South East/South South Grains: Most Northern States Cassava: Almost every state Cotton: North East Gum Arabic: North Dairy products: Could be anywhere afterall the animals migrate southwards during the dry season in the north. Fruits such as Mangoes, oranges experience perennial waste in Benue, what about fruit processing plants. And lots more We know of a lot of countries that do not have any natural resource but are amongst the top flight economies in the world. What is the problem with our governors or states. Are they lazy or just do not care since they get billions every month. What about investing in education, healthcare, technology, I mean the world is fast changing but we don't seem to want to take part in this great revolution. I am aware of certain challenges such as electricity, transport etc but it is still the duty of government to ensure them. Honest opinions. Regards |

Politics / Re: Ekweremadu Asks Senate To Legalise Prostitution by wireless05: 7:48pm On Oct 08, 2011 |
If its not prostitution bill, its indecent dressing in universities or gay bills. when are they going to start looking into bills such as healthcare, power, education, transport etc. Its sad that we have such people there. These are the people the radical Jihadist should be fighting not the common man in the markets of maiduguri or the aid worker at the UN House. |
Romance / Re: Are SS & Igbo Women More Beautiful Than Yoruba Women? by wireless05: 7:24pm On Oct 08, 2011 |
These kind of threads should be strongly condemned. I wonder when humans started taking control of their appearance. We are all God's creation. whether you are Igbo, Yoruba, Nupe, Kanuri or Chinese, you were created that way by God for a reason. |

Politics / Re: The Govt Is Wasting Nigeria’s Wealth - El Rufai by wireless05: 11:04pm On Sep 24, 2011 |
Why are we so biased? instead of critisizing what the man has said or commending him if he is actually telling the truth, Kx is talking about nothern or southern president. in his words (Soon you will hear" If a northernan was in power, would El Rufai ask this questions). And we say we are educated. If it was a southerner that said this then it will be ok. Didnt you read the whole article when he mentioned yaradua's administration reversing some good policies. |

Business / Re: What Sells In Nigeria These Days? by wireless05: 10:56am On Jul 07, 2009 |
my broda abi na sister, everything sells depending on how you package your product and how well you can market them. you might also need a few contacts to help you bridge your marketing deficiencies. try and do some survey too. most people are saying laptops, but how many nigerians own laptops and how many can afford them. there are lot just try and do a survey from retailers and friend. all da best. |
