@ Rikkyjen,

Moscow is a very great city. Forget all the crap these westerners tell us about them.
It's so organised and reminds me of places like Hong Kong or Malaysia(it's very neat compared to anywhere i have seen in the (USA/UK).
They dont even allow people to drink in public or munch junk foods like those obese punk muthafuckers in the UK.

The difference between 2 clubs showed yesterday. Sir Bobby Charlton leading the line for Man Utd and irritant Mr Peter Kenyon leading Chelsea's.
Look at the gulf and tell me Chelsea isn't a crappy club. While Kenyon was so eager to wear a silver medal, Sir Bobby Charlton declined his gold medal and told Platini the credits should be given to Man Utd players(that's PURE CLASS).
Did u see Paul Scholes cheering Chelsea players after the penalty shoot-out?? That's anutha piece of CLASS.
I hope Chelsea emulates this. . . . . tongue tongue

@ Toshmann,

Go and take Garri mixed with Cyanide.
I know u must be in acute pains now especially with United doing the European double while y'all SCOUSERS, CHAVS and the ARSES all finished trophyless. PRICELESS!!!! cheesy grin

@ Rikkyjen,

How r u doing, son?  Did u get to see the game in Uzbekistan? grin grin grin
Yesterday actually confiirmed United have the best team in the world. . . . . Class and talents flow from the bench to the pitch.
I cannot believe we left Anderson, Saha, Nani and JS Park on the bench. . . . It was outrageous!!! grin grin grin

Anderson shoulda joined in the 2nd half. . . . .Scholesy's yellow card left him dormant(he was scared he could cop another yellow).
The face-off between Tevez and Ballack was PRICELESS. . . . .The lil Argy sparked a great melee that got that irritant a RED.
Good game, fought with the English spirit and guile. . . . . . Sir Alex Ferguson is a living LEGEND.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Xerxes1(m): 3:56pm On May 22, 2008
@ tkb417,

Dayo is a Arrow. The gay was bleating how Fergie cannot win the UCL and Ronaldo can't cut it in big games.
I have never seen a Right-Back so made useless by a winger. . . . .If only we had a goal-poacher in the box, United coulda buried 3-4 goals in the 1st half alone but i still give credits to Rooney and Tevez. . . .They battled well.

Ronaldo ran into brickwall with the penalty yesterday. . . .His run-up before pausing didn't faze Cech as Cech stood his ground.
That got the winger confused and he just placed the ball in Petr's huge frame. . . .I was so pissed i coulda knocked his head off.
Fergie's new buys(Hargo, Ando, Nani and Apache) were all perfect with their pens. We have a great future but next season will be TENSE.

Doing the European double this season won't be forgiven.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Xerxes1(m): 3:49pm On May 22, 2008
@ Eldee,

Benzema is the next big team in France. Nasri is mediocre.
Although, i believe Wenger can turn him around to be a good player but we still have to wait. . . . .
On what i have seen so far, he is just another Flamini or Diaby. Nothing spectacular and please the French league is nowhere near CLASS.
Anderson is a better player! cheesy grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Xerxes1(m): 3:44pm On May 22, 2008
Akolawole:

1) What a good season he has. He scored his first ever goal against Chelsea yesterday while Rooney scred his first ever few weeks ago.

2) he was rubbish jo.

3) In your own estimation, Michael handled Chris all alone in the 2nd half

4) Didier didnt know Refereee was around the corner. Too bad. What did John do? Miss penalty? Didnt your Ronaldo missed his own as well? tongue

1) 42 goals in a season can't be a fluke. 31 goals in the EPL(Barclays Golden boot and European golden shoe), 8 goals in the UCL(UCL golden boot).

2) He wasn't rubbish. . . .He made some counter-attacking moves. . . .Set Tevez up brilliantly but the Argy missed.

3) Essien was a complete waste last night. I cannot count the number of times Ronaldo dribbled him. It was like Maradona versus Eguavoen.

4) Even if he felt the ref was nowhere. . . what he did was unprofessional but still FORGIVABLE. John Terry was an absolute disgrace after Drogba was sent off. He spat on Tevez and pretended he was only cleaning his mouth while spitting. It was classless, uncouth and Terry should be stripped of his captaincy henceforth.

@ Ibime,

I don't blow me trumpets and i don't do pics. . . . .If u don't believe what i say, go to Church.
You really think i will come to Nairaland and put me face on a blog? OBJ has a better chance joining the KKK!!!

Anyone can be called the next Zidane or Maradona. . . . .
The media spew buffoonery everytime to sell their classless tabloids.
U wanna compare Benzema to Nasri? Nasri will cost y'all 15 mil Euros. . . .How much do u think Benzema will go for?
Blimey. . . . .do the math!!!!!!

@ Akolawole,

Ronaldo(the guy u love to hate) scored a goal yesterday and it wasn't a penalty. . . . . U got something to say to that?
I cannot really blame Rooney. . . . .He dropped 2 bombs in Chelsea's box but Tevez was a tad wasteful.
Joe Cole was also great. . . . He was helping out Essien in the 2nd half which was why Ronaldo went quiet. . . . .
U cannot expect Joe Cole to be helping Essien and attacking Brown at the same time. . . . U cant eat ur cake and av it!!!!!

The only disgrace yesterday was DROGBA and John Terry(he is a disgrace to England for what he did yesterday).
Sports / Re: Paintball Game Centre Anywhere In Niger? by Xerxes1(m): 3:08pm On May 22, 2008
grin grin grin grin. . . . . . U Missed!!!!!

I am a full-blooded Nigerian but then lets call a spade what it is. . . . .

Over here, issues like fireworks, paint-balling and other stuffs are seen as FUN.
In Nigeria, people get locked up for fireworks during Christmas/New Year celebrations.
To an average policeman in Lagos, anyone found with fireworks is a criminal/armed robber. . . .It's INSANE.

If one can get the legal side of it tied up with strict MARSHALS helping out. . . .then the idea might pay off.
Again., i think ur main target has to be those rich spoilt kids of Lagos Island who won't get nasty ideas about replacing balls with stones or rice. grin
Then what are u gonna do about the A&E incase someone gets hurt? An average hospital in Nigeria is a death centre.
All they know how to do is to set drips. . . . .If u break a leg(drips), if u fart(drips), headache(drips). . . It's pathetic!!!

Nasri is just an average player. I watch Marseille everytime on Setanta and he is not ALL that.
Granted, Wenger might later turn his fortunes around(he knows how to turn sub-standard players into mediocres) grin cheesy
In principle, Nasri will end up like anutha Flamini after 2-3 seasons so there's nuthing extra special.

Don't get me wrong. . . . . U can talk to people in Nigeria. . . . but i don't see the idea seeing the light of the day.

Nigerians are too hypocritical. Just because the idea revolves around guns . . . they will quickly put u down as a terrorist or training centre of armed robbers.
Besides, where do u intend to get a huge supply of 'em paint balls? Even if u do. . . . .do u really expect Nigerians to buy balls and stick to instructions?
They will opt for something less quality(nails, stones or shrapnel) which might injure someone. . . . .
The whole idea seems bizarre unless u intend to pump massive millions of pounds into it, . . . cheesy grin cheesy

Paint-ball in Nigeria?
U really think Naija government with their eccentric behaviour would allow such games?
They will quickly term it a game that could breed armed robbers. grin grin grin

I am a lover of the game. . . . The feeling of shooting enemies down is great but damn it, Naija is not the place to enjoy such.
The cost of setting such stuffs up in Nigeria will be immense. The helmets, fatigues and gunz. . . .
Police wld wanna get involved and so many other fuckeries.

@ Emperoh,

Drogba was frustrated. Rooney and Vidic had taken shots at him that he sometimes loses his head and he promised to make em pay!
During the game, Vidic kept him in his pocket all night. Apart from the shot he took that scraped the woodwoork, he had no joy throughout.
I cannot remember Drogba winning any aerial ball against Vidic. . . . . He was frustrated/pissed hence his petulance.
Don't blame Drogba. . . . . .blame praise Vidic!!!!

@ J-K,

It feels good to be a MAN UTD fan. The whole buzz was fantastic.
Ferguson knew what he was doing splashing 60 mil last summer. . . . All his new buys played their part in tucking their penalties IN.
Can u quantify Tevez's nuisance value to the Chelsea defence last night? He was immense and he even plotted Drogba's sending off.
I am so ecstatic and i still can't believe United went UNBEATEN in the competition this season. We deserved it!!!!!

P.S. The look on Peter Kenyon's face when he walked past the trophy: PRICELESS!!!!! cheesy grin grin cheesy

Our midfield was terrific. Lamps and Ballack were majestic. Makalele was in a class of his own. Ashley was immense. I didn't even see Rooney and Tevez - thats how good Terry and Rikky played. Essien did well. I don't blame him for the goal. It is not his position. Joe Cole was alright - he offered more defensively than attacking wise. Malouda was tactically astute although still not Chelsea standard. Everyone played as I expect except Drogs. Its just a shame we lost on pens.

I guess u were wearing your blue-tinted goggles when u saw the game then cos Rooney n Tevez could have made it 3-0/4-0 in the 1st half.
While i admit Rooney wasn't at his best yesterday, Tevez was a nuisance to Chelsea's defence throughout the 90.
Without taking anything away from Chelsea, they coped well with United's early assaults but only one team had to win it. . .
I'm glad that team was Man Utd.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Xerxes1(m): 3:55pm On May 21, 2008
@ Coded guy/Emperoh,

Why are u guys investing in scary business?

Scared with this Man Utd team? Are u guys this faithless?
Stop comparing this Man Utd team with the one that lost the FA cup last season.
The difference between the 2 teams is 60 million odd pounds. Look at today's bench compared to the bench we have had in the past.
United's chance of winning tonight is 60-40.

Anyways, cometh the hour. . . cometh the man.
THE HOLY TRINITY will blow Chelsea's muppet defence apart.
I have never been this confident about Man Utd going into a big game.
Saha is fit(that shows u how excellent the team is. . . .Clean bill of health).
United fans. . . . .U are about to witness the purest, flawless and free-flowing attacking football.

For real? That's great news then. But i would hate a situ in which his performance will be lower than usual.Tonight is the wrongest night for Vida to wobble, honestly.

Vidic is not injured . . . .Ferguson asked him to sit out the training session yesterday as a precaution.
Fergie is cautious because of Vidic's air sickness and with the way Scholesy has been throwing tackles in the training session, i applaud Fergie's judgement to rest the Serb. Feruson himself told the media Vidic WILL START tonight.

I agree. . . . . . .JS Park gives Man Utd good luck.
In the 22 games he started with Man Utd since joining. . . . .United have won 21 games DRAWING only 1.

@ HNIC,

I was miffed when Scholesy made that tackle on Apache. . . . Tevez was lucky to get away without scratches.
Did u see Nani's tackle on Tevez too? It gives u an idea how competitive training sessions get at this level.
The pick of the day was Makelele's 2-legged tackle on Cashley Cole. . . . .If that had happened in a normal match, it woulda been a straight RED.
Makelele was very stupid to have lunged like that. . . . It was unprofessional.

Quaresma's performance compared to Cristiano's? U must be smoking woolies/reefers and brown mixed together.
I won't even waste time with the stats. . . . .

@ Akolawole,

How many goals for Ronaldo this season? He banged 41 goals.
31 goals in the league. . . . . He scored THRICE as many as Chelsea's top scorer in the league(Lampard).
Admit it, Ronaldo is better than all your strikers put together.

@ Antidote,

Thanx for relaying me message.
U are a darling. kiss kiss kiss kiss

Hello People,

United's sucess depends on Ferguson's starting XI, United's strength lies in their defence and attack.
Chelsea's midfield is a tad stronger than Ferguson's UNLESS players like Hargreaves, Anderson and Carrick starts. The idea of Scholesy starting a game of this magnitude based on sentiments is arrant nonsense.

On balance, United should pip Chelsea.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Xerxes1(m): 11:11am On May 20, 2008
@ Damose,

I don't need to wait for what Ronaldo will do for Portugal. . . . He is their heartbeat. Ronaldo will be the 1st name on the starting XI(fit or unfit).
Portugal may decide not to go for the tournament if Ronaldo breaks metatarsal tomorrow. . . grin grin grin grin
They need him more like u need BLOOD to function.

Euro2004(Ronaldo was just 19) and he made the squad while Scolari paid no attention to Quaresma who was then 21 years of age.
Cristiano made the UEFA team of the tournament in 2004 and was arguably the best young player.

In 2006 world cup, Quaresma was dropped again while Cristiano Ronaldo(portugal's best player) was calling the shotz in Germany. Had he not involved himself with Wayne Rooney's incident, he woulda won the best young player of the tournament.  Portugal had to break their own rules and made him the Best Portugese footballer playing outside Portugal in 2007.

Now it's 2008, Ronaldo scored 8 goals in 11 Euro08 qualifying matches while Quaresma only scored a single goal. Ronaldo has scored 20 international goals for Portugal compared to Quaresma's disappointing 2 goals.  Quaresma has never scored more than 9 goals in a single season for club while Ronaldo bursted the 40-goal mark. grin grin grin grin

I will let neutrals draw their conclusion.  Ronaldo Vs Quaresma is like comparing Messi to Zarate(of Birmingham).
