Religion / Friday Sermon - Why Are Muslim Backward by Yinkame123(m): 2:18pm On Jul 23, 2016
I got this Friday Sermon some years ago and shared it on my facebook page. However, there was a post yesterday on solutions to religious extremism in Islam posted by Seun. I think a open minded consumption of this write up will reveal the fact that most of those deranged lunatics calling themselves muslims are actually kafir (infidels) hiding under he banner of religion to perpetrate evil. But in a society where the voice of the few violent ones a loudest, people tends to use the loudest voice as a moral compass to judge others.

Allah says that Muslims are the best people or nation? Are we now? Muslims are backward educationally, socially, and economically and in world power politically. Need to make a self-critical study: Nobel Prize winners, Olympic Gold Medal winners. Number of books published, number of articles published. Number of scientists per 100,000 population.
The Qur’an and Hadith exhort the Muslims to read and excel in education –both men and women. In this Masjid people leave free literature. How many of the worshippers pick them and read them and take action?
Look at the literacy rate in the Muslim Ummah. Muslim countries like, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, etc. Now Afghanistan is in a hopeless situation with civil wars. Sisters who constitute 50% of the population are not allowed to go pursue education. Rabbi Zidni Ilma, 20: 114 (Ta Ha) Oh Lord enrich me with knowledge.
Pakistan’s average literacy rate is 26% for all the population-male and female. Contrast this with India’s, which has an average literacy rate of 52 %. Pakistan is the most advanced country in Science and Technology. It is the only Muslim nuclear power country. What is the GDP for education and for defence? How much is wasted through corruption.
The average literary rate of the whole Muslim Ummah is around 35 %. For our sisters it is about one half. In rural areas only it is only about 2 to 5 %. In United States a woman gets 12.4 years of school education. In Bangladesh she gets only 0.9 year of school education and in Yemen she gets only 0.2 years of school education.
Knowledge is power. The U.S. is the only super power. Why? Because it has knowledge in every field of human endeavor. Most of the immigrant Muslims came here (United States of America) for higher education. Go to any developing country and ask a student where do you want to go for higher education.
The answer invariably will be United States. US is a super power and power corrupts and absolutely corrupts absolutely. No doubt the US Foreign Policy is not even handed and commits wrong to some Muslim countries because of the lobbyists. Then how do Muslims correct the situation? Most of us are immigrants and many are US citizens.
Our children and grand children are growing here. With violence we cannot correct the situation, which is not Islamic when it is targeted towards the innocent civilians. I have seen many brothers call the Westerners as Kuffar, but what I know is they are called the Ahl-e-Kitab- people of the Book. We can change the situation through Ilm (knowledge) and Aml plus Sabr (patience). We need to be organized. First we need to be united. We can learn many lessons from other communities how they correct their situations and shortcomings.
Thousand years ago, our ancestors were masters in Astronomy, like Al-Biruni, Battani, etc. Today our knowledge of Astronomy is weak. The early Muslims built astronomical observatories, created calendars, astrolabes, etc. Day before yesterday (Wednesday) was the new moon. The solar eclipse occurs when the moon comes between the sun and the earth and when they are all in conjunction or in a straight line. It happens on the new moon day.
On a new moon day the Hilal (crescent) is not visible anywhere in the world. It is visible the next day. The Hilal was seen yesterday (Thursday) and hence today is the first day of Jumada ul Awwal. Some Muslim countries declared yesterday was the first day of Jumada ul Awwal. No wonder why Muslims celebrate Ids on three different days in the same town. It happened here in the United States. It is just ignorance. We do not have sound Deeni Talim (knowledge of religion) nor of the Duniya (world).
Thirty years years ago man landed on the moon. Many Muslims consider moon as a sacred celestial clock. The devout Muslims refused to believe that man had landed on the moon. But 1,000 years ago Muslims were in the forefront in every field of knowledge. The students from the West came to Muslim Spain, Sicily, Cairo, and Baghdad to study the sciences.
Take the example of Abu Rayhan al-Biruni. He was 26 years old, 1,000 years ago today. Sultan Mahmood of Ghazna in Afghanistan conquered his native place Khev and brought him to his capitol. Sultan Mahmood was not only a conqueror but also a scholar who gathered eminent scholars like Firdousi who is famous for Shah Nama and Abu Rayhan Al-Biruni. Sultan Mahmood took Al-Biruni with him to India. In India al-Biruni stayed for 20 years studying from Pandits their sciences, mathematics, philosophy, etc.
He learnt Sanskrit and translated Snakhya and Patanjali into Arabic. He measured the radius and diameter of the earth to within + or _ 20 km and 200 km respectively. He showed the earth rotates on its axis. He explained how the solar and lunar eclipses occur. He saved the life of a traveler who told the Sultan that in a land the sun never sets. The land of the midnight sun. The Sultan decreed a death sentence to the traveler for blasphemy. However al-Biruni explained that the tilt of the earth towards the sun in the summer causes the phenomenon of the midnight sun.
Like our ancestors Muslims should take the lead in scientific study, exploration and knowledge. INTELLECTUAL REVIVAL OF MUSLIMS is the need of the hour. The greatest pleasure for a father or mother is when their son or daughter achieves or rather excels in education, profession, power, wealth, etc.
The most important is education. If I am a middle school graduate, then it is my responsibility to make my children high-school graduates or college graduates. If I am a high school graduate, then I should make my children college graduates or postgraduates. If I am a college graduate, then I should make my children obtain doctoral degrees. May Allah (SWT) give us the Tawfeek to understand His Deen and follow His Guidance.

This Jumuah Khutbah was given by Dr. Ibrahim B. Syed at the Islamic Center of Louisville, Louisville, KY on August 13, 1999. It is a food for thought for leaders of the Nigerian Muslim Ummah and Muslim political leaders.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Seeking A Muslim Solution To Islamist Terrorism by Yinkame123(m): 11:42am On Jul 22, 2016
May Allah reward you immensely for this clarifications. The problem with antagonist of Islam is that there heart and mind are sealed and they care not to check facts before jumping into conclusions. In this age of internet if anyone says anything that is not true a simple google search is enough to reveal the truth. Jazaka lahua ahira

ademoladeji:
Dear seun,

Below are points showing Islam is absolutely against the act of terrorism.

1. Terrorism is above all murder. Murder is strictly forbidden in the Qur’an.

Qur’an 6:151 says, “and do not kill a soul that God has made sacrosanct, save awfully.” (i.e. murder is forbidden but the death penalty imposed by the state for a crime is permitted).

5:53 says, “… whoso kills a soul, unless it be for murder or for wreaking corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and he who
saves a life, it shall be as if he had given life to all
mankind.”

2. If the motive for terrorism is religious, it is
impermissible in Islamic law.
It is forbidden to
attempt to impose Islam on other people.

The Qur’an says, “There is no compulsion in religion. The right way has become distinct from error.” (Q. 2:256).

Note that this verse was revealed in Medina in
622 AD or after and was never abrogated by any
other verse of the Quran. Islam’s holy book forbids
coercing people into adopting any religion. They have to willingly choose it.

3. Islamic law forbids aggressive warfare.

The Quran says, “But if the enemies incline towards peace, do you also incline towards peace. And trust in God! For He is the one who hears and knows all things.” (Q. 8:61)

The Quran Chapter 2:190, says, “Fight in the way of God against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! God loveth not aggressors.”

4. In the Islamic law of war , not just anyone can declare or launch a war.

It is the prerogative of the duly constituted leader of the Muslim community that engages in the war.

Nowadays that would be the president or prime minister of the state, as advised by the mufti or national jurisconsult.

5. The killing of innocent non-combatants is
forbidden.

According to Sunni tradition, ‘Abu Bakr al- Siddiq, the first Caliph, gave these instructions to his armies: “I instruct you in ten matters: Do not kill
women, children, the old, or the infirm; do not cut
down fruit-bearing trees; do not destroy any town..” (Malik’s Muwatta’, “Kitab al-Jihad.”)

6. Terrorism or hirabah is forbidden in Islamic law, which groups it with brigandage, highway robbery and extortion rackets– any illicit use of fear and coercion in public spaces for money or power.

The principle of forbidding the spreading of terror in the land is based on the Qur’an (Surah 5:33–34).

Prominent Muslim legal scholar Sherman Jackson writes, “The Spanish Maliki jurist Ibn`Aal-Barr defines the agent of hiraba as ‘Anyone who disturbs free passage in the streets and renders them unsafe to travel, striving to spread corruption in the land by taking money, killing people or violating what God has made it unlawful to violate is guilty of hirabah...”

7. Sneak attacks are forbidden.

Muslim commanders must give the enemy fair warning that war is imminent. The Prophet Muhammad at one point gave 4 months notice.

8. The Prophet Muhammad counseled doing good to those who harm you and is said to have commanded,

“Do not be people without minds of your own, saying that if others treat you well you will treat them well, and that if they do wrong you will do wrong to them. Instead, accustom yourselves to do good if people do good and not to do wrong (even) if they do evil.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

9. The Qur’an demands of believers that they exercise justice toward people even where they have reason to be angry with them: “And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.”[Q. 5:8]

10. The Qur’an assures Christians and Jews of
paradise if they believe and do good works, and
commends Christians as the best friends of Muslims.

Dangerous falsehoods are being promulgated to the public about Islam basically due to the inhumane act of these 'Radical Islamists'. The Quran does not preach violence against the Christians and the Jews.

In other words, the Quran promises Christians and
Jews along with Muslims that if they have faith and
works, they need have no fear in the afterlife. It is not saying that non-Muslims go to hell– quite the
opposite.

******************************************

A. I don't know how someone could be brainwashed towards killing himself in order to take the lives of innocent people. #mystery

B. I think the only solution is for all muslim leaders to start preaching against these evil doings and shld also come out to denounce/condemn the acts of the Terrorists every time there's any attack anywhere around the world.

C. I'm still in shock with the recent series attacks

Who will save southern Christians of islamization paranoia?? Especially those from the SE.

They will soon come here now and be raising alarm, while failing to take note of some germane points:

1. No matter how ridiculous a bill is, the house will receive it and work on it, so far it has proponents. Working on it does not mean it will scale all the legislative stages. But only depicts democratic tendencies, which gives voice to everyone.

2. The Speaker is a Christian.

3. Any bill that will include changes to the constitution must go through all the State Houses of Assembly.

4. The Bill also has to be passed by the Senate, which has equal representation across the states of the federation. E.g. A small Ekiti/Bayelsa has same number of senators with big Lagos/Kano.

5. The content of the said bill is the most important thing and this media outlet purposely left that one out in order to sensationalize the news.

6.Another way the writer purposely sensationalize the report is in the title. Instead of saying "The bill is about the Sharia Court of Appeal" cunningly said "Pro-Sharia Bill".

Our media outlets need to exercise a high level of professionalism at this time, otherwise they will soon cause a big kasala.

I'm sure some shallow heads will soon come and tag me a muslim.

May God bless you fr this unbiased explanations. Some of us are so gullible that rather than learning they voice out vituperation over issues they no nothing about. Even if the said law is passed will it be meant for all and sundries? Will a christian approach sharia court for any civil matters? Sharia is only and only meant for the adherent of the faith of islam.

No single individual hold 100% right on any oil bloc in Nigeria considering the capital involved in developing the field. Also their are difference between OPL (oil prospecting licence) and OML (Oil mining lease). The federal government is usually the largest shareholder of any blocs in Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Photos From The Suicide Bomb Blasts On Maiduguri Mosque This Morning by Yinkame123(m): 2:36pm On Oct 23, 2015
buygala:
There is something very fishy about that hole in the wall sad

The location of that hole and the presence of smoke signs only around that hole rationally depicts a concentration of the explosives in that area... in other words, The bomb most likely exploded while hanging in a bag on the wall, or being concealed IN the hole, since the hole will definitely be closer to the ground if the bomb was dumped on the floor in a hurry... This shows the bombers had ample time to plant the bomb sad

The most worrisome aspect of this is the fact that the part of the wall where the hole appears appears recently patched up, with the fresh cement color still very evident when the area is zoomed in.. A look at the hole shows its too small to be an air-conditioning wall space... So the other reasonable explanation is that the bombers broke the wall open, planted the bomb, and patched back the wall .. or the bombers simply got some military grade C4 or other explosive, broke open the wall, put the explosive and its timed detonator into the wall, and patched up the wall...And the mosque authorities either were careless enough not to notice the freshly patched area and /or the bag containing the bomb which may have been used to conceal the patchy area, or they were privy to the 'arrangement', and even helped bomb their own mosque by ignoring the obvious red flags angry

In summary, the scene of the bombing stinks of a planned and very relaxed orchestration of the bombing undecided.... In my opinion, there was either no or too little security around the mosque, which invariably points fingers at the mosque's authorities as either aiding in the bombing or being so careless as to warrant them some hours of questioning at the DSS headquarters sad

I quite agree with your intelligent observations and analysis. However, the cement patch was not as a result of recent renovation but was as a result of the heat generated from the explosive. The flames and trajectory of debris on the wall in my opinion shows that the bomb is closer to that point and the blood stays indicate someone is badly hit towards that end. Similarly, except the suppose suicide bomber is ejected from the wall (Which i think is impossible considering the speed at which such individual would have traveled to have burst through the wall). In all indication i dont think that bombing was done by a suicide bomber but rather the bomb is place at that sport. While i will rule out RPG is that if the point of entry of the bomb is from that point the splash of the blood wouldnt be to the upper level of the building because the point of impact to the first IP would have been at hip or leg level (Depending on the height.) so it is a well planned attack. As for the culpability of the mosque management i think at this point except a concrete evidence is produced have anything to do with this. Mosque are not like churches that have security 24/7 especially when is a local mosque

Politics / Is There Any Science To Handwriting Analysis? by Yinkame123(m): 2:19pm On Oct 23, 2015
IS THERE ANY SCIENCE TO HANDWRITING ANALYSIS?
Handwriting analysis, or graphology, is the study of handwriting and how it is connected to a
person’s behavior and personality. It has been in existence for thousands of years and is used mostly
for employment profiling, marital compatibility, jury screening, psychological analysis, and even
medical diagnosis. Forensic analysis to authenticate a document or determine whether a particular
person wrote a document is not graphology. Graphology is based on the assumption that the brain and
the central nervous system directly influence the movement of the hand. Graphologists believe that
handwriting is the physical manifestation of the subconscious.
These are examples of how graphology claims to link handwriting and personality traits: letters
slant to the left (has emotional control); letters slant to the right (is friendly and impulsive); the slants
of letters are different (is versatile); small letters (is intelligent but has low self-esteem); large letters
(is confident); massive letters (is theatrical and loud); narrow letters (is shy and self-disciplined);
wide letters (is emotionally open); wide spaces between letters (prefers isolation); connecting letters
(is cautious); perfect writing (is a good communicator); messy writing (is secretive); endings curve
upward (is generous); and the t is crossed above the stem (is a daydreamer).
Graphologists once analyzed doodles made by Tony Blair at an economic forum. They concluded
that the shapes of his words and drawings indicated he had a political death wish, the ability to come
up with a fluent answer, and an inability to complete tasks. As it transpired, the doodles were in fact
made by Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, who certainly possessed an ability to complete tasks.
Critics of graphology claim that graphologists rely on the content of what is written and that the lack
of any scientific evidence makes it meaningless. The majority of studies conclude that it has no
validity and that, in more than 70 percent of cases, graphologists cannot even determine the writer’s
gender. Nevertheless, it was estimated in the 1980s that around 3,000 businesses in the US used
graphology in screening potential employees, with suggestions that the number has grown
considerably since that time.

In as much as our politics still revolve around money, ethinicity and religion it will take the camel to pass through the eyes of the needle before what we termed as youth will occupied the seat of president in this nation. Have we asked ourselves how much in cash value will it take to procure election in Nigeria even from the local level. Which money bag in our country today will bring billions to support our so called youth to lead our nation? In most cases we sight example from countries where things are normal. Where the environment create opportunities that will make one to want to lead and will have the chance to lead without anyone looking at where you come from and what material things you possess.

Are the old war horses to blame for been the one that continue to rule us from donkey years? our constitution does not allowed independent candidate, hence you need a party to sponsor you. From the party level without telling ourselves lies, do we actually believe a party in Nigeria that have chances of winning an election will bring some toddlers that are still sucking their parent breast to lead the nation? Whenever we bring this issue up we tend to ask ourselves the hard question. Youths made of 60% of our population which kind of youth are we talking about?. Youth that are yet to know what they want from live? Youth that are yet to acquire the necessary skills and experience to even lead their immediate family talk less of a whole nation. Skill are learned, experience are acquired and environment played a vital role in the outcome of the two. From your post the young man was son of former prime minister of Canada which means he was born into political family which has given him the necessary skill, experience and exposure to lead. If the likes of Tinubu, Obasanjo, Ojukwu, Azikwe sponsored their children to become leader in this country aint we the same people that will scream blue murder that they are turning the nation to family affairs. In my humble opinion the situation in our country does still not present the opportunity for our so called youth to occupy higher position.
Crime / Re: Is This A New Style Police Use To Get Money Now? by Yinkame123(m): 2:31pm On Oct 21, 2015
That has been their style for long. They usually choose there target carefully for them to be assure the individual can part with huge amount of money. A colleague paid 300,000 for this kind of scam sometimes ago. the young man in question drives a good latest model car. He was stopped by three police in a traffic in PH. He wind down his side door wind shield to talk to them that was when the traffic moved. They asked him to park which he did. When he opened the door to come out the three police men jumped into the car and asked him to drive. His mind was that they were taking him to the station and he was not bothered as all his documents were intact. Few yards from the point where they jumped in one of the policemen at the back shouted that 'oga this is the gun'. He thought it was just some kind of conversation between the policemen until they accused him that he was in possession of gun that was used for robbery. He was confused on what to do next. They told him to start driving to the station. Fearing for his life he told the policemen that he was not the owner of the gun. They told him to settle if he does not want to go to the station. They asked him to pay 1 million naira. At the long run he agreed to pay them 300,000 but that they will follow him to the bank which they gladly do. He dragged them towards the CCTV so that they can be captured. After paying the money, they let him off the hook. He reported the matter to the police and go to his bank to collect the cctv footage so that the policemen could be identified. It was a surprise when the bank said the cctv was not working as at that point in time.

Health / Excessive Hair In Women by Yinkame123(m): 7:29am On Aug 22, 2015
Hirsutism is a condition where women have excess unwanted hair on their faces and bodies. With this masculine hair presentation, the hair is dark and coarse and usually appears where men typically grow hair, on the chest, face, and back.

It is normal for a woman to have fair share of hair, distributed all over her body. A woman’s arm pit (under arm ), and pubic hair is of moderate quantity depending on hereditary factors. Normally, a woman only has fine hair, above the lips and on the chin, chest, abdomen, or back. The presence of coarse dark hair in these areas is an indication of the presence of excessive male hormones. The amount of hair varies among women. But about half of women with hirsutism may have high levels of male sex hormones called androgens.

Most cases of hirsutism are not severe, and are not caused by any underlying condition. However, sometimes there is a more serious underlying condition, such as Cushing syndrome.( a condition which arises from excessive exposure to the hormone cortisol ). Sometimes no cause can be found.

Signs and Symptoms
The main symptom are hair growing on the abdomen, breasts, and upper lip (male-pattern hair growth in women). If hirsutism is caused by high levels of male hormones, symptoms may also include:

• Irregular menstrual periods
• Acne
• Loss of feminine body shape
• Signs of masculinity, deepening voice, male pattern baldness, enlarged clitoris, enlarged shoulder muscles
If Cushing syndrome is indicated, signs and symptoms can include:
• Obesity, especially around the middle section
• High blood pressure
• Diabetes
• Thinning skin .

Possible causes
About half of women with hirsutism have high levels of male sex hormones, called androgens. Those high levels can be caused by:
• Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which may also cause infertility
• A common cause of hirsutism is (PCOS). Women with PCOS and other hormone conditions that cause unwanted hair growth may also have acne, problems with menstrual periods, trouble losing weight, and diabetes. If these symptoms start suddenly, you may have a tumor that releases male hormones.
• Tumors on the adrenal glands or ovaries
• Cushing syndrome, from excessive exposure to cortisol.
• Medications that can cause hair growth.
• Anabolic steroids , for body building.
• Drugs used to treat endometriosis
Menopause : Estrogen production is decreased but the continued androgen production leads to an increase in the number of terminal hair.
When there is an underlying condition, it is easy to find the possible cause of Hirsutism , as the high level of androgen , is an indicator.

What your doctor would do in diagnosis:
• When you see a doctor, you will be examined and your medical history will be taken.
• . You may be asked about your menstrual cycle,
• what medications you take, and your family history.
• Your doctor will check you for hair growth and
• also may do a pelvic examination to check for tumors or cysts on the ovaries.
• Blood tests, measuring hormonal levels , may show high androgen levels.
• Imaging tests, including CT scan, MRI, pelvic ultrasound, used to find cysts or tumors on the ovaries or adrenal glands
The cause of Hirsutism would determine the type of treatment.
• For women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), for example, losing weight through diet and exercise may help. Obese women are placed on low calorie diet.

Treatment
Medications can be substituted if they are causing excessive hair growth.
A tumor on the ovaries or adrenal glands can be removed surgically.
Weight loss is advised for obese women, so that they do not produce more androgens.
Counseling would also go a long way, as this condition could cause very deep emotional situations.
The kind of life style you keep matters. Being overweight may contribute to hirsutism. Eating a balanced diet and getting enough exercise can help control weight.

Medication
Certain medication would have to be taken long term.
• Birth control pills. Some birth control pills can lower the amount of androgens your body makes.
• Drugs that blocks androgen from being used in the body
• Also , prescription cream for unwanted facial hair. It slows new hair growth but does not get rid of existing hair. Once you stop using the cream, the hair grows back. The use of surgery to remove cancerous ovaries, and laser to hinder hair growth.

In your food
These nutritional tips may help women stay at a good weight, which may help lower androgens in the body:
• Eat antioxidant foods, including fruits (such as blueberries, cherries, and tomatoes) and vegetables (such as squash and bell peppers).
• Avoid refined foods, such as white breads, pastas, and especially sugar.
• Eat fewer red meats and more lean meats, cold-water fish, tofu (soy, if no allergy), or beans for protein.
• Use healthy oils in foods, such as olive oil or vegetable oil.
• Reduce or eliminate trans fat, found in commercially-baked goods, such as cookies, crackers, cakes, French fries, onion rings, donuts, processed foods, and some margarines.
• Avoid alcohol and tobacco.
• Drink 6 to 8 glasses of filtered water daily.
• Exercise at least 30 minutes daily, 5 days a week.
Herbs
Herbs may strengthen and tone the body’s systems.
In pregnancy, you must consult your doctor before taking any medication, to control this condition.

Family / Re: How Third Parties Involvement Ruin My Parents Marriage by Yinkame123(m): 9:21pm On Aug 14, 2015
The problem with our marriage nowadays in opinion was that we tend to expect some pattern of behavior from our partners and when what we does not follow that pattern we tend to be disappointed and start having grudges. While what we term as third party in most cases are what is a catalyst to help some our problems. What do you think could be the consequences of that man holding that thought in his mind which could make him explode and do something crazy. For the friends to have called you to asked for what happened it means your husband trust his friends and they give you chance to defend yourself. What if they refused to call you and just concluded you are a bad woman. Shy not see light in what you see as darkness? In most cases those people we despise are the ones that tells the truth without looking at our faces.
A brother was once caught by the wife cheating. The wife got annoyed and went to her father to report. The father annoying in the presence of the wife summons the husband to see him. When the husband got to the father in law house, he excused the husband to his inner bedroom while the wife and the mother were in the living room. As they entered the bedroom the wife excused herself and went behind the window of the room to listened to what the father will tell the husband. She was surprised when the father in law said to the husband " oh boy you messed up o how will your wife caught you in act you are not smart at all" the daughter heard this and started crying that the father is encouraging the husband to cheat on her. The father response was that " my dear daughter am only buying a seat for you in your husband house. What will one say to such response. Please be guided.

BabyDaddy20:
Who is deceiving who ??
If you have been to the Nigerian oil wells in Port Harcourt you will know Nigeria is forking rich.
When they wanna sell oil to other countries, they will open a tap & in less than 15 minutes the transaction is complete, the total amount of oil sold to Italy & other buyer countries will amount to 100 trillion naira.
Where are all the money going to ??
Our oil can't finish till Jesus comes.
Why can't the CBN print as many cash the country needs ??
I do cry everyday for my dear beloved country though i don't plan on returning soon unless things are fixed.

Bros abeg where in Portharcourt do they sell the oil just by opening a tap Please stop exhibiting ignorance and saying things that has no meaning. Oil is not loaded at an oil well but at a terminal which has metering stations located close to the sea so that the super tankers can load the products. The loading is done at the presence of the IOCs, NNPC, Navy and Customs and each of the organizations involved keep records of what and what was loaded based on the content of the manifest issued to the buyer.

Politics / Re: Court Reinstates Elected LG Chairmen In River State by Yinkame123(m): 2:54pm On Jul 13, 2015
[quote author=barcanista post=35813283]On what ground did the National Industrial Court gave in to the prayers of the 22 APC rascals? This is a rape to democracy and a big setback to Nigeria's democratic struggle. RVSG must appeal this sham of a judgement!
How can a Judge reinstate rascals that were "selected" by some guy from Ubima without the input of Riverians? How can something be legitimate when the RSIEC extant law was abused? How can the LG poll be legitimate
when there was a court injunction and there wasn't INEC voters register? This is sad...[/quote
What goes round comes around why crying more than the bereaved. In 2011 when the going was still God RVSG conducted LGA election which ACN challenged at the court. The court verdict was that the RISE was acting within the law.

Also when the House of Assembly suspended Obio Akpor LGA chairman for investigation of corruption the council was sealed by the police. But when court delivered judgement in favour of LGA chairman Ameachi lead government obeyed the ruling. So dump Wike must complied as well. This is just the beginning.
Politics / Amongst Who Will The Ministers Be Choosing by Yinkame123(m): 11:09am On Jul 12, 2015
One of the campaign promises of APC lead government was to fight corruption which is so pervasive in our clime to a standstill. And through to his words Mr President had been showing some toughs in these regards though not at the pace Nigerian expected. While I understand the frustrations of Nigerians as regards the slow pace this present government is working and the attendance consequences on the delay in appointing the ministers one is forced to ask the question amongst who will the ministers be choosing or appointed.

It is a known fact in Nigeria that ministerial positions are used to settled political friends and interests especially ones that worked tooth and nails during campaign and electioneering. Just few technocrats are given chances to occupied strategic ministries in the past regimes. We all have seen the contributions of NO I during OBJ regime which helps in Nigeria getting debt relief from Paris club. Professor Nebo as the power minister also did well before the scandal that saw his outer from GEJ government.

If this present government decided to use technocrats in running his government especially those that did not contribute no effort in emergence as the president will that not cause chaos in the polity? And if he decided to use politicians, how many of our Nigerian politicians today can come clean as part of prerequisites set by PMB to appoints members of his cabinet.

My questions to my fellow Nairalanders is that whom do you think or know as politician or technocrat that can be of an immense value to PMB cabinet.?

Romance / Legalising Polygamy Marriage by Yinkame123(m): 4:00pm On Jul 05, 2015
July 03, 2015. AMERICA AGAIN? HUSBAND INSISTS POLYGAMY MUST BE LEGALIZED

It is a known fact that Americans predominantly determine how people eat, drink, dress, talk, study and love in most parts of the world. If they say one-man/one-wife, many will follow blindly. If they say man can marry a fellow man and two women can do same, many will follow them.

So now that an American is pushing for polygamy which we Africans had but lost to them, are we going to return to our culture if and when America legalizes polygamy? Your guess is as good...

A Montana has said he was inspired by last week's U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage to apply for a marriage license so that he can legally wed his second wife.

Mr. Nathan Collier and his wives, Victoria and Christine, applied at the Yellowstone County Courthouse in Billings on Tuesday in an attempt to legitimize their polygamous marriage. Montana, like all 50 states, outlaws bigamy, holding multiple marriage licenses.
"It's about marriage equality," Collier told The Associated Press. "You can't have this without polygamy."

County clerk officials initially denied Collier's application, then said they would consult with the county attorney's office before giving him a final answer.

County chief civil litigator Kevin Gillen has however said he is reviewing Montana's bigamy laws and expected to send a formal response to Collier by next week.
Mr. Collier said he would sue the state if his application is denied because if allow gay you must also by all means allow those who want to practice polygamy so as to marry the many single ladies around.
We are waiting for the final result!!!
