GEJ's led PDP is enthroning internal democracy in PDP.

APC now has inherited the selection format.

GEJ is truly God sent.

First he pushed put the bad eggs, second he introduces democratic reforms as a guiding principle.

God surely heard our prayers when he sent us this man.

Can't wait for the national conference to start. We have to come together and decide if we still want to continue as one and on what terms.

Our diversity can't be swept undet the carpet, we need a well detefined template that will accomodate every ethnic background and not some bogus arrangement that is polmugated to favour those with numbers.

The north has misruled Nigeria, yet can't stand someone from a minority tribe being at the helms.

We have to decide our path and not continue working with the faulty template given to us by the uninformed colonial masters.

Politics / Re: Obasanjo's Letter Is An Attempt To Instigate A Coup - Afenifere by Zer0(m): 11:39am On Dec 31, 2013
Omo_Tier1:
You did not need a soothsayer to tell you the signs are all over the wall. Every coup that has taken place in a democratic settings have always followed a similar pattern, if only you bother to read local and international histories.

I have repeatedly said, I do not want coup to oust GEJ, because those planning to coup are doing so for their bellies in the disguise of saving a Nigeria. We know that and are not blind to it. However, GEJ has left the average Nigerian with very soured taste and bitter pills, especially those of us from the South South.

For two years running, GEJ, a PhD holder cannot put together a sensible budget that makes sense, continue to make spurious utterances, employ kill and divide tactics to govern. Why would I have pity for such an inept leader?

GEJ had the peoples will to crush the old guards after the elections. The atmosphere was ripe for it, the people were looking forward to it. And what did they get in return? First fuel subsidy, then appointment of Tony Annenih, the the list of darkness continues.

Your ill conceived opinion does not represent that of the average Nigerian. You accuse GEJ of bigotry, yet laced your comment with ethnic sentiments. Saying that you are from the south south does not in any way mask your ignorance about the country you claim to know and love.

GEJ's only undoing is that he opted to changr the status quo in governance. Though he isn't a saint, but he's surely laying a foundation where domocracy can thrive and not some wholesale politics introduced to us by criminals who think they know what is good for us.

When OBJ got his second stint as president, what did he do with the afforded him?. He harrassed opponents with impunity, supervised the desecration of the constitution and murdered every democratic tenets. Today he's out of favor with power and onbiously out of touch with reality.

The political balance in the country has changed, those who claim to be the majority have lost out to the oppressed minorities and that is a very good cause for their discomfort.

I pray that God should grant your war wishes and the consequences that comes with it. Maybr that will clear the logs in your eyes.

D'banj never claimed go have donated, and i see no reason why he should organize a press conference to deny something he never claimed.

OJB is using his predicment to discredit his foes which is silly. Meanwhile no be by force to give. Anybody who didn't donate owes him no explanation nor apology.

He should thank people who donated money, those who prayed and also wished him well and forget this unnecessary ranting about who didn't donate.

aaronson: Its not about Economical Development But Economical Growth, yes we have overtaken SouthAfrica but an average nigerian still live below 1dollar per day....how can you equate that to the preached development when 90% of nigerians wallow in abject poverty abegi make una go sitdon

90% living in abject povert. Lol.

Just someone once argued that Nigeria had it better in the seventies when things were cheap blah blah blah. And i asked him how many people owned a car in his street or could afford technology and he kept mute.

I think it's time we all become responsible and don't distort facts with ignorance.

The economic team of Jonathan's government has done credibly well and better than every other, i may not completely agree with GEJ's politics, but his economics is surely sound. The facts are there. Policies have been made to grow and stabilize the growth of our economy but we need to translate these policies to infrastructures. Which i believe should be the focus of the government within the next two fiscal years.

Development is not done on the pages of newspapers and good PR. The people living within and below poverty lines are actually a fraction of the numbers you guys peddle.

I am an economist and can authoritatively explain how these numbers will translate to improvement in your everyday life only if you wish to understand and not trivalize or politicize it.

We live in a better country today (economically). I know some people are so desperate to blinside Nigerians on how well we are faring. But we surely never had it better for a very long time.

The major reason our society keeps gettibg impoverished isn't solely because the govt isn't doing enough. Most times it's the choice we make.

Getting married without having a sustainable means of livelihood, hoping that God will do miracle and take care of your material needs is just not enough.

There's never a time too late for a man to het married.

In the end what matters isn't when you got married or how many children you got but the quality of life you have and that of your dependants.

I am not trying to emphasize money in marriage, but a broke "YOUNG" man hasn't any business talking about getting married.

@OP don't let these people ruin your life. They won't be there if (God Forbid), your income isn't enough to service the financial needs of your marriage.

For the last time: BE GUIDED!.

Who are you to deifne poverty for another man. Not everyone is interested in driving a Murano or going to the cinema every week. It's about cutting your coat according to your size.

Do not be deceived. It costs money to rent a house, provide decent meals at least twice daily, pay good fees for good schools for your children and other miscelleanous expenses. Trust me 60k won't do that.

My gross earning per annun is over 2.5 million. I live in Abj and my rent is 1m per annum. Then havd 4 siblings who are dependent on me add other expenses then you may hav an idea. Would you advice i get married?. The answer will be surely No if you have consience.

Everything shouldn't be about what is expected of you to do whdn you reach a certain age in life, it's about managing your situation to get the best off it.

Every man should be Guided by purpose. I wouldn't advice a man to take a wife he can't take care of, or bear children he can't guarantee necessities of life and decent education.

Seriously you should concentrate on building your finances. I am 33 and single. I don't have a salary job but I make over 4 times what you make in a year. Which hasn't been a reasonable ground for me to get married.

You should set targets and build a foundation before you can build a family, except you don't wish to live a goid life.

I believe the time a man gets married is insignificant, what matters is the quality of life he can afford for himself and his family.

There is no joy in poverty bro. Be guided.

I got a BIG, FAT ego. Thats my compensation for being a Nigerian.

Growing up, It was OK to feel inferior among my mates who had it better. Now, i am looking for a way to tone down my superiority complex when it comes to outsiders (Whites, Browns, greens).

I love this country die, and I'd wish to be a Nigerian in my next life.

Meanwhile don't tell me that being a Nigerian matters more than being Igbo, until they cease to ask for my state of origin. I remain primarily an igbo man then a Nigerian.

As long as someone from another tribe is accused of any wrongdoing, we don't even want facts before condemning the person, but when one of our own is accused we rush to their defense. Only in Nigeria does an accused become automatically guilty. You need to re-evaluate yourself man.

ghettodreamz: [b] Person report say your pikin steal meat inside hin pot. You say na lie your pikin no fit steal. Another neighbour show up say na so hin steal hin fish for pot the other day. U still say no ur pikin no fit steal; when it is glaringly obvious that he was guilty of the alleged offences.

Are you training such kid for the future or spoiling his damn life and future? All in the name of being a father, you have forgotten that one day if care is not taken ur pikin go enter market steal wia dem go lynch am wit tyre and petrol? My broda that one go be d worst embarrassment of your life and end of discussion to hin thiefin lifestyle.

Yoruba people say "Eyin ti aja fin ba omo re sere loun fi buje" Meaning: "The teeth wey dog de use play wit hin pikin na hin; e de take bite am".

Make we join mouth together say 'NO' to wasteful spending of National funds. No b dem papa money, and all des people no carry money enter government house when we vote them into power.

Make we join hands say 'NO' to wuru wuru to corruption and extravagant spendings by our so-called politicians; who are only interested in feathering their own nests.

I de sure say none of una wey de protest both offline and online against d idea of sacking her, never benefit anything from her before for una life. Make person de beautify structure of airports no be achievement, let's start facing reality as a nation. I never hear any air mishap for wia me de live; poor man de enjoy basic amenities, yet dem no get money and natural resources reach us for Naija. I wish I can say d same of my country but na lie, maybe years or decades to come.

I wonder if Nigeria will ever change wit this tribal and ethnical beliefs; instead of us judging and collectively condemning bad leadership and poor management of d nations' fund some de mor concern about their kinsmen or town-woman being elected into seat of power wey dem no sabi anything about. Only for Naija things like dis de happen wella. Instead make we stand in unison against bad government and evangelise a government that caters and put her citizenry as #1 priority using utilitarian approach for the common good of all, we de fight against one another, poor man fighting poor man; rich man or woman no even sabi say person de fight for am; maybe she de one place now de chop chicken with one expensive imported wine, whereas her blind followers, de barter words with one another and yet dem de hungry, some go drink garri for morning, chop garri for lunch and night food neva sure. Una go stil return to una labourer work tomorrow or enter market de carry load for people as porter, hustle cart to sell handkerchief and groundnut inside sun. And dis one person una de fight for no sabi una de exist talk les say she go help una mata.

I taya for Naija, I taya for my kontiri pipu!

One day; e go beta sha! (In Tony Tetuila's voice)
