Know your hair

Our extensions are a great way to add volume or length to our hair. So it should definitely, be an important subject to talk about because they are quite expensive though affordable. Since we expect them to last for a long time, we also need to take proper care of them. Below are short helpful tips...

1. Wash your extensions a maximum of 3 times a week. This will keep the moisture in from shampooing while at the same time not drying them out from over shampooing!
2. Deep condition once a week. Carefully put your extensions in lukewarm water and put some conditioner all over. Leave it on the hair for at least 20 minutes, then rinse and let them air dry (using a blow dryer will damage them if used too much. If necessary, put the dryer on a cool setting, almost as if it was wind!).
3. If you use heat products on your extensions, use a heat protectant (this protects the hair against heat damage and stops the ends from becoming brittle)!
4. Be sure to wash your hair with care (do not shampoo too rough). This may seem like a lot to do but your extensions are an investment and you should treat them as such. If you care for them properly they will last longer and save you lots of money.
Remember that human hair no matter the quality and cost only lasts as good as the care it gets.

This post is an answer to some of the mails i received from those that asked what i meant by getting a celebrity look from my past posts.

Yes you can get the exact look of any of your favorite celebrity or create your own celebrity look by getting your make up properly done and fixing the appropriate luxury human hair to match and its not expensive or complicated like many believe but very affordable.

Celebrities may have professional makeup artists around to paint their faces, but that doesn't mean you can't copy their looks. Even if you aren't skilled with eyebrow or lipstick, it won't take long for you to master the following celebrity inspired makeup tutorials. All you need is a little bit of time on your hands and a bag full of different products.

For example below is how to get the exact stunning look of beautiful Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim to the movie premiere of "Fifty" over the weekend.

1. First have a Peruvian loose wave 22 inches properly fixed by a professional hair stylist

2. A bold brow is an easy way to create an attention-grabbing makeup look. So comb your brows with a spoolie brush or clean mascara wand to see how they lay naturally. Then using a soft, slightly waxy brow pencil, shape the brow by using the thinner side of the tip, take the flatter angle of the pencil and fill in the brow using short strokes that look similar to hair. Finish by blending a shimmery highlighter just below the brow bone to add brightness and lift.


3. Now to get Juliet's flawless make-up face, put foundation all over your face, then use a tissue to wipe it off of your cheeks to make it easier to layer your blush on without it looking fake. “It brings life back to your cheeks and realness back to your skin.”

4. When you’ve got naturally long, lush lashes, you don’t need a ton of other makeup to stand out. Just be first sure your mascara is no more than a month old because fresh mascara glides on easier and won’t flake. “Wiggle mascara in at the base of the lash and sweep outward and upward,”. “The trick to sexy natural lashes is to get the thickness into the base of the lashes and taper them naturally to the ends, as opposed to chunky, thick ends.

5. Apply a cream concealer over your eyelid to create a smooth base for your 6. Use a pencil liner (black or gray looks best) to trace your top lash-line from the inner corner to the outer. Then, use the same pencil to dot between your lower lashes. Smudge both lash-lines with a cotton swab or an eyeliner brush.

6. Sweep powder shadow (brown, gray and dark green all work with black or gray liner) over your lid and into your crease, blending the color up and outward.

To prevent color from fading and give your lids a more shimmery finish, pat a cream shadow over the concealer on your lid first, wait five minutes, then top with a matching powder shadow.

Dust a lighter, neutral eye shadow (such as ivory) over just your brow-bone and finish with two coats of black mascara.
