My brother u would have to google that. But lemme advise u. There is no need to burn millions of naira for 4years studying estate management. The best thing for u to do is go to a college in Canada (1yr program max $12,000 tuition) after that you do some certification eg get real estate license or CPM (Certified property manager). Trust me, Canada respects Certification more than degree.

But the chance of getting a visa to study in a COLLEGE is very slim compared to a UNIVERSITY. am i right?

Not really. I know lots of Nigerian guys in colleges especially Algonquin college. If u package yourself well u will be given the visa.

My brother try go Calgary, Regina (lowest unemployment rate in canada and its easier to get paper for this zone). I beg no come toronto, its too populated and work no dey tdat like that. Wetin dey annoy me about this toronto be say paddy paddy too much. Many people dey get job cos dey know somebody. I heared that its poppin in LA y u wan come this slow country?

It's not everyone who contributed to your post that are still in Nigeria, check my id in USA student visa thread. I'm currently doing my MS in US but it sad hearing someone outside Nigeria saying ''had I know'' while he/she is in western world off the shores of Nigeria. Such can't be seen as good point but rather big discouragement. Like people use to say ''e no easy, e no easy and dem still dey live happily.....enn make e no easy for everyone too nau'' You got your point but saying had I know is totally unacceptable.

@ imperiouxx: U are in the US good for u. If u have been following this thread, all i am doing is directing people to follow the right path. If i have had someone advise me i wouldnt have spent the amount that I did (If i had been advise properly i would have spent half of that money by going to a cheaper school and used the balance for business). I am directing masters students on the right province to go to and the right school to go to for their course.U are doing ur MS (Good), make me wey don finish advise my people now.


You are not in Canada and cannot advise people on what holds in Canada. If u think say i dey give people bad advise then na God go judge me. Well its all good, its your opinion and i respect it. Have a nice day.

Sure, some of what is applicable in US isn't in Canada. Also I'm not advising anyone here than just to say even there is little or no job, obtaining degree in western world is the best ever. One day, the degree will find you prospect. That's all I have to say here, going back to my US student thread. Best of luck o.

Ph.D in electrical engineering. I am currently running my M.ENG electrical engineering in nigeria and I hope to do my Ph.D in canada. I am twenty five years old by the way.

@Guitarlife. I dont really know much about Electrical eng but i think Ontario (UofT), Manitoba or Calgary would not be a bad idea.



FYI: After your second year of Phd, u are eligible to apply for permanent residence

I am looking at Phd in management sciences or communications...I hear all these stories about phd holders ending up in menial jobs after graduation...sorta scary. I wouldn't even mind moving to where the jobs are at, if there are jobs.
