Sissy, thanks alot! They look really beautiful. But isn't that what we call pick and drop back home? I've never done those coz well like you said long hair and all, usually my hair is long when i'm in the mood to braid, so i have to stick with box braids.

@Topic. . .my hair is beginning to look like a weave grin My roots are already long again and i want to lay off the straightening for the meantime. . .back to braids or something undecided

iice thanks alot!!!. i never knew dat was what they were called shocked shocked never tried it so couldn't know the many names for it. u just saved me the stress! probably wouldnt be doing it coz ma hair is longer than the required length of the pick n drop. thanks dear!
Re: What Hair-style Do You Have On Now And How Long Did It Take To Fix It? by Nobody: 10:18pm On Dec 21, 2009
No ladies its not pick and drop, basically the hair is conrowed and the extensions are added but the extensions are left out instead of woven into your natural hair so basically its like a weave without sewing smiley. I have done it, its ok but doesnt really last 4wks max and most of these useless salons will charge an arm and a leg for it.

So the extensions are braided into the cornrows?
Re: What Hair-style Do You Have On Now And How Long Did It Take To Fix It? by Nobody: 11:58am On Dec 22, 2009
Similar to Ghana conrows where as you weave, you add extensions but instead of them to continue weaving the extension into the conrow, they leave it out.  smiley So your hair is conrowed but the extensions are left out.

sad

Does anyone know if cornrows can cause migraine.

I cornrow the top of my head from time to time, never had a problem before, but for some reason this time I am having bad headaches.

The cornrows are not so tight or tiny so not sure why the pain this time.

Could it be because I foolishly had my hair highlighted recently?
Re: What Hair-style Do You Have On Now And How Long Did It Take To Fix It? by Nobody: 2:44pm On Dec 22, 2009
@Madlady, maybe the conrow is tight but you have built resistance to it so you may not feel the tightness but your brain does. Thats all I could come up with smiley.

grin grin grin grin grin

You girl are very funny, but you really could be talking the truth.

When I 1st used to do them it made my eyes go up at the corners tongue, but I never feel anything now.

Just wondering if it's the highlights I had done last week, just did it for a bit of fun. Or maybe It's because of the weight of my hair, I have grown my hair longer than I normally do so may be the added length causing what little brain I have to fight back tongue tongue tongue.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Chinese facelift abi? I dont like conrows because it gives me headache and tears out the edges of the hair. Maybe you are allergic to the highlight formula hmmm just keep watching yourself for a few more days and it persists go and see the doctor.
