Kudos to everyone on this topic.... I hail o ... I just have few questions to ask and I'm shooting directly. 1) What's the probablity of a registered nurse / midwife with years of experience to gain the skilled immigration visa? I'm not the one in question though but someone very close. 2) What session can I apply for let's say I want to take a diploma or certificate course because I observeed most people here are running through masters.. 3) Let's says I want to run an UndaG program, I'm currently in a Uni in europe, can I use a transcript to get admission and continue from where I stopped? I'll appreciate an appropriate response..... God bless every1 |

Lil B®ight™©: The issue of passport validity applies to all embassies. It was earlier explained here yet you people keep doubting the explanation given. The explanation given on the page where you read about passport validity is clear enough for you to start panicking. For emphasis and clarity sake, let me help you with the explanation again. The validity as written by the embassy means that your passport must have minimum of 6 months left prior to its expiry date. For example, if your passport was issued on 22nd December 2008 and the expiry date is 21 December 2013, for this you have less than 6months validity prior to its expiry date. On the other hand, if for example your passport was issued on 2nd September, 2013, the expiry will probably be 1st September, 2018. On this one you have about 5yrs validity left so it is good to go. In summary, the validity is not when it was issued but when it will expire. You count backwards. Hope nobody becomes jittery over this again. |

seconwaobyno: thanx broda. I have it, I bought mine 5k but it did not help at all. very happy for ur reply. working hard to gather info to avoid repit I feel compelled to add in a few cent on nailing IELTS exam. Just like most exams you are asked a question whether in writting or in speaking apart from the reading section with objectives you are required to provide a written answer. There are a lot of tips to nail this exam most of which can be found online really. Wrote d Exam didn't buy any British council book apparently cos my friend bought n I had a sneak preview of its content n found it to be shallow anyway what do you expect if u repeat the exam after failing the 1st time British council will have more money I guess :-) Ok so back to nailing the IELTS. I wrote general IELTS sometime ago in 2010 I had 6.5 in the writing section with so much grammer n extra confidence I had with me I thought I was personally victimized by that score (well who doesn't especially if u didn't make the score you needed) IELTS markers are not necessarily interested in the details of your write up but 1st they are after ''Structure'' in writing there's a pattern you must follow to nail 7.0 n above look up the pattern from www.ielts-blog.com IELTS speaking section its probably the easiest to fail and the easiest to pass. Now many online blogas have so much to say about nailing your speaking test but let me add something here. Your speaking scoring starts immediately you have 1st contact with your interviewer not when the recording machine is switched on (well thats what I think) 1st impression matters. E.g. Please sir/madam what's your favourite color (most people will go on str8 up with the answer ''blue'' ''red'' ''grey'') let me ask you something do you think He/she does really cares about your favourite color? The answer is 'NO' he wants to test your expression. A somewhat ideal answer should be a detailed sentence on your favourite color n maybe ђƔ the color is your Favouraite color as mosttimes that will be the preceeding ?. Dnt expect the interviewer to be the friendly party diffuse the air with your charm n rather become friendly so as to reduce your exam tension n not His/hers. Others you can look up online. All the best |

Hi Guys, Anyone working on PR 189 subclass? My Bachelor in Engineering degree was assessed by ACS (Australian Computer Society) as being equivalent to Australian Qualification framework Associate degree which ranks as level 6 and not Bachelor degree ranked level 7. I would like to find out if this was an isolated case or generic for Nigerian Degrees. The implication of this is I would not be able to claim my expected 15 points for education and 10 points for employment, as 5 years was also deducted from my years of experience. Anyone out there got his Bsc/Btech/BEng assessed as being equivalent to AQF bachelor degree? |

Plshavmercyamen: What should be my evidence then? Since i am the first son.Oh! Thought you said you have a son? Since you are the first son, a letter of consent from your father will likely work and again, try as much as possible to sound real in your application.. Never give them the impression that you are working towards PR.. |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by lawland: 6:00pm On Sep 30, 2013 |
townshipjames: Hi Guys,That has always been the case with ACS.. But it mostly happen to B.sc in computer science.. A lot of people here have had successful assessment for their degrees.. I wonder why ACS is assessing B.eng.. What skills did you apply for? |
