Condi disappoint me too. I would have voted for her too. That woman wakes up something in me everytime she shows her face and makes one of those speeches of hers. grin

she should first use her fishnet stockings and catch a man before running for any office.

I-man:

I want Clinton to win because I think the GOP has better chances against her.At worst,if the GOP were to lose, I would prefer the Clintons given Clinton's relatively good record in 8 years in office.I just don't see what Obama's policies actually are.

I don't know about that. They have a lot of baggage also. People also want change and the difference between Hillary and Bill is that Bill can speak so that people feel that change is going to occur. Hillary has no charisma at all and cannot reach people.

Not only that, they should just go.
We don't want anymore Clintons in the white house before Monica comes back

Condi has hot legs tongue. . .apart from that, I can't say I have much to say about her. She's cut from the same cloth as Rumsfeld, so she's no good.

What does Clinton have sef? Like one of JFK's former advisers said 'So what if she lived there for 8 years? I had three boys who played hide and seek in the White House does that mean they should be president?' grin grin

Her hubby's policy of slashing the Armed Forces by 25% is part of the reason the US is still bogged down in Iraq now, she is as much a part of the problem as bush and co.

She was acting all strong and in charge. . .then they start kicking her butt and she resorts to the feminine wiles of shedding tears? Just typical, I mean that is what the US needs - when Iran points nukes at Israel, just shed a few tears and Ahmadi and his boys will melt. . .on second thoughts those fishnet stockings may work better tongue grin grin

It seems McCain is thumping Romney.

Romney has suffered for merely being a Mormon when he is one of the most capable candidates.

Divided Govt is always the best. One party controlling the White House, another controlling Congress.

Well, if she wanted a man,  I am sure there are many out there who would want to bag her. I don't think that she necessarily needs a man, for her to get the job done. In my opinion, she is doing a really good job as is.

She is very different from Rummy.

Shedding tears is a vote getter! If Obama can promise to find all loose nuclear materials within 4 years,Hillary might as well start weeping. . . . .I nearly wept when I saw some of Obama's promises grin

The average man would be so much intimidated by a woman of her calibre.

If Bush has ruled the USA for 8 years and the end did not come,Obama will be fine.

There were claims that she is lesbian.I think she was dating one ex-NFL dude like that.

Most men won't want to date such a successful woman.

Clinton opens a 5% lead over Obama with 13% of 301 precints counted in NH.

Maybe Obama should shed some tears too. With almost 50% of SC voters black, Obama shld win their easily.

Yaadua get good looks, isn't he now the president?
The era of wor wor rulers are over.

Yar A'dull may have good look but he has no charistma, not a good orator and cannot sing to Fire up and ready to go.

Even if his campaign slogan is change nobody we see it or be able to read it .

OBAMA is an intellectual, America may like good looks but this guy is not just all mouth and no trouser. He talk straight and even the press simply see a politician who call it the way it is.

What would make him to win is like he reminded me of Tony Blair of Britain in 1997 when he promised little and deliver more. people are able to look into his eyes and believe in him.

I said it before and I will say time and time again, stats don't lie. All the stats are going OBAMA way. infact he almost singlehandedly bring more people out to vote

At first I thought there is some conspiracy against Hilary Clinton but all the groups of voters voted for a Man who started his campaign with  CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN and  every other candidate has now join CHANGE bandwagon including a 71 years old Mccain who can't change anything, he has been doing the same stuff the same way for 28 years in Washington and he is expecting a different result which can only lead to insanity.

5th of February 2008 is the day when OBAMA will know whether HOPE has won over fear. If he pull it off against the clinton Machine that alone will give him the Presidency because the youth will want to be part of history they have started.

OBAMA will look you eyeballs to eyeball and you can see sincerity in it.

IN 28 DAYS TIME HOPE WILL BECOME VICTORY.

@ Jesoul, am sorry but your analysis is so warped.
First, if you believe in experience thats good but making a conclusion based on the action of 1 governor is such a fallacy definately hasty generalization. Whats the comparison you use African American, untested and unexperienced, from a poor background etc.

So because Deval Patrick missed the mark every other young African American in that category will miss it compared to saying every Nigerian is a thief or a 419.

I don't live in America but the Obama train is that of hope, hearing his speech i can feel it, if i were in America i would definately volunteer, he has the ability to inspire people, thats why its the young thats picking the message quickly, America needs to change its stance on a lot of issues and OBAMA is the only voice close to what is required.

Lol, Deval Patrick (Mass. gov) is EXCELLENT at giving inspirational and moving speeches - SO WHAT?!
You missed the point of what I was tryn to say, which was
Many blacks are jumping on Obama's train just because he is black
- that to me is irresponsible and shallow and pointless and I used Deval Patrick as a mirror image example of someone who was voted for just because he was black and could give great speeches and was politically "inexperienced". How many people supporting him can actually tell you where he stands on the war? healthcare? raising taxes? education? immigration?,  catch my drift?

Davidylan
JeSoul is only saying the same thing so many blacks said when Obama started campaigning. Centuries of slavery and only seeing white men in power has conditioned them to suspecting any black person seeking power.

Deval Patrick failed . . . so we should expect Obama to fail too?

No, not what I was tryn to say.
But that Patrick failed and should be used AS AN EXAMPLE of the danger of simply voting for someone because they give great speeches and are charismatic and charming. Plus the "slave metality" thing does not work here. This is an educated black woman speaking, I would love nuthin more than to see my fellow blacks in positions of authority and power where they can effect real change and I would support them 100%.

BUT BUT BUT
it is just plain stupid to vote for someone based on their speech-giving ability and charm INSTEAD of the important issues. Like I said above, how many people can intelligently reiterate to you where Obama stands on the war? healthcare? taxes? etc.
Re: Obama For President? by Iman3(m): 3:09am On Jan 09, 2008
@JeSoul

That is what I have been telling them but a couple of them even referred me to Obama's website to view even more demagogic windy drivel.

Charisma, great speeches and sharing a common racial heritage are all well and good but Obama has to come up with a lot more than that.

I don't know if you are talking about the same Massachusetts that i live in. He WAS NOT elected because of his skin color but because he was the MOST qualified of the whole bunch.

The car you are talking about, the guy paid for it with his own money not taxpayer's money.

This man is proposing a lot of good educational plans for Mass citizens, including a possible free community college.
I followed deval Patrick from the first time he was profiled in the herald, throughout the debates, to when he won. Race was never an issue.

you should not try to justify your dislike for OBAMA by trying to bring down Deval Patrick

I-man please leave my Obama alone!
It's about time we had a tall dark and handsome hunk of Hershey chocolate in the white house.
I don't care whether he has experience or not,his good looks are enough for us all.

We are surely doomed if this be the reason to have him in office.

Doomed is the word. and this sums up my frustration with so many black people. Is it too much to ask to at least know where he stands on issues affecting us?
After all our education and empowerment and advancement, all we can say is "I'm voting for him because he's black"?!  undecided and we wonder why whites still look down on us.
I don't have a candidate yet, but far be it from me and it would be a disgrace to all my years of education to vote for ANYONE based on their speeches or looks without looking at their track record and proposed polices - at least! haba, na wetin dey worry us?

what was Bush about when he won? He didn't even know who the president of Pakistan was? All he knew was how to count the cows on his ranch in TX grin grin

Al Gore was the smart one. . .we see where it got him.

Charisma sells people, especially when you've had a patently unlikeable one like Bush for 8 years. They are not very different in their individual messages, people will get swayed by these soft factors and it wins elections.

First off I DON'T DISLIKE OBAMA! -just asking people to think before supporting anyone! not based on just skin color.

2. He only paid for the car from his pocket AFTER it was discovered and people put pressure on him to pay the money back.

3. He's only paying PART of the money back - not all of it. He paid the difference in amoung between the caddy and the ford Romney used to drive.

4. You must be naive to think Patrick got in on anything beyond his charm and color and the fact he was the Dem nominee.

5. "FREE" community college for which the TAXPAYERS will pay for. Why should I be paying for another persons son or daugther to go to school?!? Is that my responsibility?
Most of his "Free" proposals will be paid for by INCREASING TAXES! what kind of solution is that to people already struggling to make ends meet?
