@iz2much

the first time i applied i used my personal account but the ECO said i used my dad's account (maybe because of similar names). I used a domiciliary acct in new generation bank. (try GTB, Zenith etc)

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by Vie(f): 3:49pm On Sep 10, 2009
My status is INSACAN AT OC. If one is rejected is there anyway of knowing from that position or is it only when one recieves the passport that one can tell?

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by mufasa(m): 8:45am On Sep 11, 2009
@dolphin and all. Can i reapply using photocopies of the visa letter and other docs from the school. It will take forever for them to post me a new set. The initial one i used in my first application was not returned to me. I have copies of it.
though i will get a new statement from the bank and write loads of stories as supporting statement.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by dolphin22: 10:47am On Sep 11, 2009
@mufasa
i don't think you can use photocopies my be you can try using a scanned copy from the school if printed off. Did you get 30 point from the visa letter or did the letter have a problem.

Nope. . .not unless you are coming from a country which has a pandemic outbreak of a communicable disease.

I don't think my yellow card has been checked since the early 90's

Well I dont think u can get a visa to study in uk on part time. I even doubt if the school will accept you. Just follow wat you are doing and put all hope in God.

I thing getting UK visa is cheap. First thing is to believe God for it and secondly make sure you package ur documents well.

Thats all.

Thanks a lot.
According to their letter;
I NOTE THAT U(my 8 mth old baby) LIVE WITH UR FATHER AND MOTHER IN NIGERIA. I AM NOT SATISFIED THAT SHE(myself) HAS BEEN ABLE TO SHOW THAT SHE HAS BEEN SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR EXERCISING PARENTAL CARE OVER U FOR A SUBSTANTIAL PERIOD. THEREFORE I AM NOT SATISFIED U OR THAT U MEET
THE REQUIREMENT OF PARAGRAPH 319H.

Thanks once again. Hope we guys can hook up sometime in uk.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 5:49am On Sep 12, 2009

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by nezerst(f): 7:31am On Sep 12, 2009
@Uhonmora

Nairalanders can be crazy sometimes but the r wonderful people.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by ybab: 8:48am On Sep 12, 2009
@nezerest

Congrats. so are you going to leave your 8 MONTHS BABY behind and go to the UK?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by violent(m): 10:15am On Sep 12, 2009
@ neazerest
Congrats to you, too bad u just have to leave without your baby, i hope you file an appeal or reapply for her ASAP, cos i personally take objections to Mothers leaving their babies behind, especially when we are talking about 8 months old shocked
I will also advise that you buy some of your stuffs here, especially some food materials such as noodles.
Take extra passport photographs with you, if u are the type that wear jeans, buy them here before u travel, then save up some money for extra shopping abroad, considering the fact that most of the clothings u will need for now will be winter cloths and you can get em for sale at cheap prices in some UK shops.
It will be better to arrange for your PTA and BTA in time to avoid delays.
Once again GOOD LUCK
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by erico2k2(m): 10:59am On Sep 12, 2009
@ violent, whats PTA and BTA lol who the hel check themin the Uk? n nodules are way way much cheaper in the Uk and congrats ohh neazerest, but could I ask, if you whre allowed to take ur baby with you to the UK, who would look after baby when you go to school puttting it in mind every child has to be under someone 16 yrs and above in The Uk or else you got to pay for child care or am I missing something here?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by kadman(m): 11:20am On Sep 12, 2009
@ nezerst

Take erico2k2 advice into consideration,but if that's not a problem you can come back here for advice on how to sort that out. Yes buy noddles from Nigeria o. The ones here are indeed cheaper but taste like cardboard in stew (maybe I haven't found a good brand),and yes buy jeans from there. The ones here are either cheap and ugly/shapeless or expensive designer ones.
And be ready to be asked various crazy questions by Immigration when you land UK

@voilent
Great advice lol,all I packed too was about 10 jeans,indomine noodles and soap - they don't sell my soap brand in UK cuz of hydroquinone grin
What about your visa ?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by erico2k2(m): 11:23am On Sep 12, 2009
lol Kadman you funny die, lol if you are in London then I dare you to venture to PECHAM, yes almighty PECKHA, you will find everything you need there regards gods from 9ja, even tapioka dey there lol cowleg nko lol, so every soap is there, just ask inteligently.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by dolphin22: 11:26am On Sep 12, 2009
@ neazerest
Child care is just too expensive in UK. You can read through the web so you know how much it cost. I guess the ECO made the right decision by giving you and not her so the child can come over to visit any time i guess. Next time try and settle down in UK before trying to bring a baby to come struggle with you. Congratulations on getting your visa. Don't feel too bad about your baby she will definitely get hers when you are settle down in the UK.
