While her frustration is shared and understandable, the threat by her, of tearing and burning her Nigerian passport later, is enough reason NOT to EVER issue her one at this time. |

Justosaus: she's not ok upstairs. No matter where one goes in this world, home remains home. Why do you people talk just to talk? Wouldn't you too feel the same way if u were in her shoes? Besides, they are the ones at fault for not informing them not to come on that day. like they all said, nothing prevents them from contacting them before they made their trips. Even put the notice on their website. it is all as a result of the failing state of the nation. I wonder what the Ambassador for Nigeria to Canada has to say about this. And you say she is not okay upstairs. Nigerians and their ways of thinking sha. 13 Likes |

Goodluck Jonathan should recall the Nigerian high commissioner to Canada. Infact canada should borrow a leaf from Gov Fashola and deport that failed and annoying goat called Ojo Maduekwe who is embarrassing us in canada. He should take his incompetency to onitsha head bridge. 1 Like |

I feel her pain and agony. But if she should tear and burn her passport after becoming a Canadian citizen that will be pouring salt on injury cause she will still be met by same situation when she go to the embassy to secure a visa to come into Nigeria considering the fact that her parent are still back home. 2 Likes |

before i left Nigeria i used to think that the Embassy was a "home away from home" as it is called until i stepped into the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing, i just arrived china and i heard we had an embassy, i went there to familiarize myself with how things are done, i tried to sit down, just to sit down oh! the girl at the reception said, "please sir don't sit down, if you sit down, one oga wey dey inside go come tell you to stand up"...! my point is, i cant even "sit down" in a Nigerian Embassy, she den asked what is your problem? visa problem? i said "i had no problem" she said well, we have to talk standing on foot. Nigerian Embassies all over the world are in shambles. even Ghanaians and Kenyans whom we presume are smaller countries receive better consular services 15 Likes |

Justosaus: she's not ok upstairs. No matter where one goes in this world, home remains home.a bad home will never remain a home for anyone,a good home remains home not a home remains home, you call a country where millions of youths are un-employed?where millions of nigerian students have being sitting at home for the past 30 days?where there has not being even 24 hrs un-interrupted power supply all over the country?a country where our leaders steal billions and they still show their face on tv smiling with confidence?a home where almost all the roads are bad?a home where poverty has become a hobby?a home where the price of commodities and other things are always going up?a home where one cannot sleep with two eyes closed because of bad security?a home where you see a masters holder collecting 20000 naira per month?a home where doctors do even go on strike?a home where some patient die when being rushed to the hospital due to the fact that the doctors said they were not going to give the patient treatment until they pay some money for the medical treatment?a home where a poor person steals a 5naira biscuit and he is sent to prison but a rich man steals billions of naira and was not even arrested and even if he was arrested he would be given a bail that is not even up to one percent of the stolen money and they still come out boldly to tell us that justice has being served?is that what you call home bro? 26 Likes |

Wether she said it out of anger or frustration. Of what use is your Nigerian passport after becoming a citizen of Canada or USA anyways? You can travel to Nigeria any day you want with Canadian or USA passport. If you have ever been in her shoes, you will understand that keeping and renewing the stupid passport doesn't worth it. The thing is that most of this our Nigerian who have been stocked in the country for the longest doesn't really understand the kind of situation Nigeria is into. They have no place to compare Nigeria with. So how do you guys even understand when it is important for APC to take over or PDP to continue?? I pity for Nigeria. 4 Likes |

I understand what the lady is going thru...Let me tell you my own story which is not even as frustration as hers. I went to another town to get PTDF scholarship scratch card for me and my friends. I took my effort, time and money to get my documents in order for application to 2 UK schools. I got admission. Do you knw that up till now PTDF despite having shortlisting candidates is yet to do any sort of selection process for a session that is going to start in September? The worst is that they can't even contact us since march when we applied that they are cancelling or postponing the selection process. I saw in one thread that some people are still hoping for an interview. Today is 24th August and that is not realistic. It's just a shame. To think that someone somewhere is collecting money from youths (many unemployed) to buy cars and other extravagancies is SO ANNOYING. And yet nothing will be done. This is corruption. Sometimes I regret being born in this country. Can someone please highlight just one benefit of being a Nigerian? 8 Likes |
