Yaya Toure Could Go To Inter, Maxwell To Barcelona

Dmitri Seluk, agent of Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure, revealed recently that his client's future will most likely be away from Spain, probably in Italy.

"There are various clubs interested," explained the player's agent to Sport. "He will not join Arsenal with his brother Kolo, because he has better offers; his future could be in Italy."

In fact, the Blaugrana might use Toure in a part-exchange deal to obtain Inter full-back Maxwell and therefore fill up the vacancy on their left flank.

The former Ajax man struggled for playing time at San Siro this season, as his spot was stolen from beneath him by the impressive teenager, Davide Santon.

Thus, he is expected to leave the Nerazzurri this summer, with recent reports suggesting that both Juventus and Milan are interested in signing the Brazilian.

This latest speculation, combined the comments of Toure's agent, could indicate that Maxwell could be off to Spain while the Ivorian midfielder may replace Patrick Vieira at Inter.

Under-Appreciated Yaya Toure Could Leave Barcelona - Agent

Toure Yaya could leave Barcelona this summer if the club do not improve his contract and show that they value the contribution that he has made to the team in the past two years, his agent has stated.

The Ivory Coast midfielder's representative, Dmitri Seluk, made a surprising outburst as he stated that the Blaugrana do not appreciate his client and if that continues then he will leave Camp Nou.

Despite being a vital part of the team that won an historic treble last term, Toure is undervalued both financially and by the club all round as he rarely receives any praise.

"Barca have not complied with the gentleman's agreement that we reached," Seluk told Sport. "Joan Laporta says that Valdes is the best goalkeeper in the world, the same about Messi, with Xavi, with Iniesta , but with Toure, never anything,

"If he is not good enough to play in this team then that will be that.

"He has spent two seasons earning a minimum salary. He earns less than many of the first-team regulars and less even than some of those that hardly play at all.

"We have put our faith in the word of the club, but they have not respected it.

"Clearly he is a professional and if the club do not respect him then he would to go and that would be a shame because he feels at home at the club and in the city. He has adapted marvellously."

"Toure has done everything for Barca and always thinks about the team. He has never cause any problems and remember that last season he played a number of games while injured.

"This term, after Rafa Marquez picked up an injury, he played as a centre back and did so without complaining, while Keita, for instance, said he did not want to play at left-back in the Champions League final.

"Therefore, I think Toure deserves more recognition on the part of Barca."

Manchester City have been linked with a move for Toure, and Seluk insists that Arsenal will not be able to afford to buy the player.

"There are many teams interested in Toure," he added.

"He will not go to Arsenal because he has better offers and nor will he go to Germany, but his future could be in Italy or in England."

He actually deserves a better contract than 45k pounds a week. He says he wants only 15% increament wish I think Barca can afford.
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by ogazi007(m): 12:47pm On Jun 10, 2009

Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by eyonigger(m): 4:08pm On Jun 10, 2009
after 3 trophies last season there should be alot of money earned. They must increase some players wages and Yaya should be included. Make super glue hand no go ruin next season for us abeg laporta na beg i beg you.

Is yaya's 45k per week after tax of before tax?
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by GeorgeD1(m): 4:13pm On Jun 10, 2009
That's how it's supposed to be-all things being equal. But unfortunately, most of these clubs are
also being hit by the global meltdown, so they're actually scrimping back on emoluments for
their players.

After tax!!!!!!
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by honeric01(m): 10:05pm On Jun 10, 2009
that should be before tax, not after tax, players' wages are not pronounced after tax, it's before tax. or do you have an idea of how much taxes he pays??

Well I was listening to an analysis about it and 45k after tax is what he said, I might be wrong though
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by ogazi007(m): 12:56pm On Jun 11, 2009
His weekly pay is meagre they should jack it up for him,he has done well this season.
madrid are just trowing big big money around,i thought they have learnt their lessons.
big names cant win trophies for u,buy one known player and go underground to search for young and unknown players.
they will chop shit with their array of stars next season.
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by honeric01(m): 2:21pm On Jun 11, 2009
Has Barca officially made any bid for a LB yet? We seriously need one. Maybe a goalkeeper is needed to
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by kokonets(m): 2:33pm On Jun 11, 2009
We havent made any bid yet ooooo, well madrid are just trying to pack their teams with stars after the upset of last season. Its ok, its the italian and EPL leagues that will suffer, I forsee them sacking their coach in Jan when Barca are leading the league table.
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by ogazi007(m): 2:53pm On Jun 11, 2009
@honerico,officially i dont know.just speculations all over the place.
we dont need a goalkeeper at the moment, barca is not ready to trow cash around unnecessarily not when calamity valdes has won the best goalkeeper in laliga.they just renewed valdes contract, pinto is still with us and albert jorquera might starts keeping next season.
we really need to re-enforce our defence, get a good attacker and DMF.

Madrid to me are displaying the pride of spain by spending big with no titles, while I pray Barca will be displaying the spanish pride by raining in trophies with our beautiful footie.

They have also signed Villareal coach. That dude is good, I think he can pull some impressive string come next season.

I am yet to hear about Barca bringing in a LB, lets wait to see what they'll do, they are smarter.

We need a LB. NOW!!!!

Florentino is crazy. But I have to admit the guy has guts. Even if they don't win anything (which they won't wink ) its a marketing strategy that's not likely to fail.

Txiki Beguiristan is more of a team builder. But i think he is feeling under pressure to make some big-name signings.

La liga is going the league to watch next season. Thank God for DSTV

He is under pressure, but I think he is more sensible and can handle the pressure this is not the first time. Its good for the la liga though cos it ill bring more followership n more fans, lol wont be surprise if more MU fans decamp 2 to madrid
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by khanye(m): 6:45pm On Jun 11, 2009
We need to sign up a good LB quick
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by Krayola(m): 7:51pm On Jun 11, 2009
This stupid Madrid are just spoiling the market for everybody.
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by bollingjoe(m): 11:00pm On Jun 11, 2009
I think barca should get a left back, striker and a defensive midfielder. Eto and yaya 's cases should be resolved quickly . If eto leaves i suggest we pick up tevez i think he has wat it takes to replace him.Yaya loss will be felt if he leaves

Im sick and tied of inacurate stories, barca dis barca dat.i dont know what to believe again.
i should stick to watever i read from our official site.they should allow valdez to go jare, wat is his prob?
he should be grateful to barca,no any big club that would wanna waste their resources on him.
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by honeric01(m): 7:34pm On Jun 12, 2009
Who can we get as a LB for like $5m-$8m
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by Krayola(m): 10:54pm On Jun 12, 2009
For 5-8 mil we can't get anyone better than Abidal IMO.
Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by honeric01(m): 11:03am On Jun 13, 2009
So are you saying there is no better LB in la liga that goes for $5-$8m?
