yk4u: can a laptop processor be changed from 1.8GHz to 2.3GHz?

i just discovered the 'send-to bluetooth link on my computer is missing. and my bluetooth is not working. i just got the system, Dell vostro 1540, and i heard a friends say she had a similar problem with her system too which is the same model. how do i fix this?

restart keep pressing f8 until you see advance boot option
select disable automatic restart on system failure
and press enter let's it restart and the blue screen
will stay still and give us the error code. e.g. ox000c

click start and type in the
white box that says start search

type bluetooth and try each one you
see look for settings and tick
allow this computer to see others

if cant find it id asses if we
help you remotely

if you live in ngeria dont think
id have that time to wait due to

That's one of the instructions I's given to use while installing the porgramme.Where in my system can I locate the firewall? Or, am I going to get it n instal? Where can I get it?

Hey skydancer, how's it goin?...been going thru dis thread 4 a while now and av been loving every bit of it....well here's d issue am presently battling with....I use a HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop 4 a while now (4)yrs 2 be precise....it came with an original vista home version...but lately...it goes blank with a blue screen and when it attempts 2 reboot..-it displays the error message OS not found.....which has 2 do with a currupt installation file I guess....I got a larger HDD with d intenttion of installing windows XP on d laptop...and here comes the second issue...it ddoes not recognise d HHD when I attempt 2 reload d system....could you guys please lend your technical expertise in this regard.......just 2 add....here's d system specs....160GB HDD,2GB Ram,32 Bit os,Amd 64x2,1.90GHz...................eargerly waiting guys.

For windows firewall,
1 Click Start Control Panel > Security > Windows Firewall > Change Settings, and click Continue if prompted by UAC .

2. Click on the Advanced tab.

3. Check the applications that you want to unblock and Uncheck the applications that you want to block.

"OS not found" is likely a hardware problem. there are times it would work and time it would not if you keep restarting your machine. if that is the case of your, i feel its a failing hard drive but if you think its not, i would suggest you check the cable connectors and maybe try installing a fresh operating system.

@ skywalker.....Yes u are right on point wit d diagnosis....at tymes it starts up quite normal but after a while the bluescreen appears n it attempts to restart....I have been trying to reformat the lappy and install XP on it but it does'nt recognise the hard disk drive even with the new one.....anyway will still keep you posted......thanks.

Pls,my laptop is taking longer time to boot,it takes up to 5(five)minutes,after which it will show "close program or check for a solution online later"i then click close program,which the computer now opens fully,....pls was dthe possible solution.

what program were you trying to open before you got the error? Try installing malwarebyte and run a scan on your computer first to check for virus

hi guys, pls i av a problem wit my laptop,hp 630. I downloaded instaforex mt4 and realised it wasnt working so i deleted and downloaded again, yet d same tin. So i repeated d process but ds time once i click on d mt4 download link on d site my firefox browser begins to open multiple tabs like 200 tabs continuously in less than one minute. I won't advice you to repair the charger. Buying a new one is better.
