he is talking about their champions league impacts so based on your argument I can say that Figo's impacts were easier because he had a strong support cast at Barcelona

I am not talking of support cast. I am talking about the strength of the competition. You can not compare the strength of the defending in the EPL to that of Ligue 1.

Look at how Ajax played Ludo with Lyon and yet found it difficult to muster a good shot on target against Manchester United. The EPL even annoys me with the deep emphasis in defending.

Mbappe's major impact is not Champions League but Ligue 1.

Has Onyekuru performed in the UCL?? Ibra and Cavani are shit players because they score in ligue 1?? The same Ligue un Benzema started from?

Ibra might have even won the top scorer in England if not for his injury but he came from the 'peasant farmers' league'

Add in Ligue 1.
So?? Benzema started from Ligue 1. Ibra and Cavani played in Ligue UN. Henry, Trez, etc started from Ligue Un.

I have asked him before whether he is a City fan or just an Iheanacho fan. We shall see where his loyalty lies.

Iheanacho has left Pep now. Na Bilik my guy go dey share bed with next season.

Good.... but one with more technical giftedness.... You cannot but spot the difference in Nacho's 9 and Mbappe's 9.... this is why I don't normally wanna start comparing both players... But Sir Mickael started it.... sad

And when you do compare... do so with same run of games.... Mbappe has had a smooth run of games... Nacho has not. Even from last season...

edi287:

Same could be said of Nacho at club level and even with the NT. At the moment, they are both viewed as 9s

Ajax played Ludo with Lyon? I insist you did not watch that match! Ajax were lucky in the second leg and everyone saw that. Why are you still talking about the league? He said only Raul has more goals in the ucl at that age, so we are talking about their ucl impact not league for now

With about 16 or so of them coming in ligue 1... well.... we can manage it...

But only 10 in the EPL.... the toughest and most physically demanding league on the planet.... now that's what I am talking about.... grin wink

15 in 17. 12 were starts. He performed in the UCL. Why are you leaving that out?

At the time Figo was at Barcelona, I think the Spanish league even had a stiffer defensive set ups than the English league. Excelling in such frontiers is far difficult.

As I said, judge Nacho after his run of games. He has done well despite having limited opportunity due to the competition at City.

Nacho is a better passer. Mbappe is more skillful, faster, better ball control and is as clinical if not more clinical, better off the ball movement.

Ligue 1 defence is far easier to break than the English defence. Do you agree, yes or no.

let me use a term one of our threadmates here used a while ago. Compared to the EPL defenders, Ligue1 is filled with 'backwater defenders' grin grin

You want to mention Benzema here? The Ligue1 of Benzema'a time, is not the Ligue1 of these days. The champions of the Ligue1 of these days let in 6 goals after taking a 4-goal lead previously. Such shitty defending

Exactly. The difference in physicality in both leagues isn't even as much as people make it out to be.

Counter the points. I have watched Mbappe enough to judge him. He does not have more tricks or move faster with the ball than Sane. Sane is more comfortable with the ball. Take away goals and no one will place Mbappe over Sane.

Will you rate Mbappe over Sane if you take away his goals?

how will I argue with you when you don't even know his strong points? Ok please go to whoscored and compare their dribbling accuracies and them come back since you haven't watched him play as a winger before, maybe all the matches you watched were recent games where he played as a 9

Did you watch the few tricks Nacho pulled off in the last game he played for City? Mbappe can not pull such off.

12 goals in about 13 starts or less in the EPL... 12 goals om less time across two seasons..... you make it sound like He did it in 76 matches.... grin grin

Nacho nailed 12 in so little time that hia EPL goals ratio now stands at something close to one goal every 107 mins? I think... Something like that... Yet before that he had the best EPL goals ratio in history... unmatched still now. wink

And come on man... it is not my fault that The EPL is far higher, far more competitive, fae more prestigious than Ligue 1.

Mbappe scored against little oppositions... That is not belittling... that is just stating it as it is... smiley

Nacho shone in the world's toughest league without a good run of games and you are here yammering about. Ligue 1...

Sir Mickael2.. Kneel down lemme pray for you... smiley

Mickael2:

12goals in 2 seasons? So that's what we are cheering? But you want to belittle 16 league goals in one season? Ok

Ligue un is better than back in 07 - 09. Koscienly, Varane, Umtiti, Sagna have come from Ligue un. France have some of the most talented youngsters around and most are coming from Ligue un.

Note that Nacho's stats are distorted because he has not had a steady run of games. Also, Mbappe pulled most off against far easier defences.

So running stats is like filling a basket with water and hoping to use the water at home. Judge Nacho after his run of games.

well the champions of England got to the quaterfinals, the others, all of them put together were dispatched in the first round. When did losing 6-0 to Barca become a shameful thing? Just ask Madrid, it's not a new thing. Even Barca has lost 4-0 to Bayern before, next point

and back in those days, Lyon used to win the league with 20 points difference then, infact they were even more dominant than Psg
