Looolll.... well, I think a better question should be, "who will wear the no.7"?

Coz I wonder What number Iheanacho will dorn at Leicester.... definitely won't be no.72 right? lol

But The Number doesn't make the player shaa... it is the player who makes the number. wink

Icon4s:

So how would that help his career?

Nigeria League Expert Blast Salisu Yusuf 30 Man List For CHAN Qualifiers

An ardent follower of the Nigeria Professional Football League Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman has taken a swipe at coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Salisu Yusuf, who recently released a 30 man list for the 2018 Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) Qualifiers tie against the winner of the clash between Togo and Benin Republic.

The tournament which is for players based in the domestic league is held every two years, and Nigeria have twice qualified for the Championship in 2014 and 2016 respectively, and will be hoping to be at the 2018 edition.

Former Kano Pillars manager Salisu Yusuf has been mandated by coach Gernot Rohr to handle the team, and the coach has taken the first step in that direction by calling up 30 players for a camping exercise in Kaduna later this month.

Mowiz as he is popularly called has watched all teams in the league this season at least twice, and aside been a journalist he is part of an extensive network of scouts monitoring players of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Here is his take on the list.

Goalkeepers:

Theophilus Afelokhai has been in and out of the squad of Enyimba, while Okiemute Odah has hardly kept goal for Lobi Stars. I’m shocked at the none inclusion of Suraj Ayeleso who is by far the best goalkeeper in the league this season, as a matter of fact the Nasarawa United man has more clean sheets than any goalkeeper this season. His non inclusion is a crime against football, especially as the goalkeeper trainer of his team happens to be one of the assistants of Yusuf.

Defenders:

So many names need explanation like Kalu Orji who isn’t the same player he was two years ago, and how on earth is Osas Okoro listed as a defender. We all know him as a winger. What about Chima Akas who hardly plays at Enyimba? The young boy Udoh Ikouwem has taken his spot.

Jamiu Alimi hasn’t played up to ten games this season, on what grounds was he picked? . Where is Daniel Itodo of Plateau United ?, what is Nasiru Sani of Katsina United doing in the list?, heavy, slow and very poor defensively. This is sad.

Midfielders:

Douglas Achiv of Lobi Stars and Destiny Ashadi of Katsina United, and the MFM midfield dynamo Onuwa are the three players who have taken the league by storm as midfielders.

Samuel Mathias of El-Kanemi Warriors is the one player in that list who clearly earned his spot in the team, and of course Alhassan Ibrahim just has to be there, by far a contender for the player of the season.

Attackers:

If at all a player will be picked in the attack of Gombe United it should be Afolabi Abdulwaheed and not Austine Oladapo who plays as a midfielder. Abdullahi, Kingsley Eduwo isn’t the top scorer at Lobi Stars, Anthony Okpotu is, so how was he not selected?

Where are the exciting prospects we have in the league in attack?. Sunday Faleye of Shooting Stars, Richard Jonathan of Wikki Tourist, Sanni Abanni of Gombe United, Victor Mboama of Remo Stars?

Finally:

I will score Salisu Yusuf 4/10, this list like I said on twitter has proven true the fact that you can’t trust a local coach with the job of the senior national team of Nigeria.

Official : Liverpool Confirm Signing Of Golden Ball Winner Of Nigerian Descent

Liverpool have re-confirmed the signing of England U20 international of Nigerian descent Dominic Solanke on undisclosed terms, informs the official website of the Reds.

The Golden Ball winner at the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup will wear the number 29 jersey for the 2017-2018 campaign.

''It feels amazing and everyone has made me feel welcome already,'' Solanke said to Liverpool's official website.

''Even just pulling on the training top, I was over the moon.

''Hopefully I can put on the shirt in the near future and make some good history here.''

Solanke joins Liverpool as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Chelsea in June, but the Premier League champions will be compensated because the striker left the club before the age of 24 and he's an academy trained player.

Omeruo In The Dark As Conte Hands Shirt Numbers To Two New Chelsea Players

Coach of Chelsea Antonio Conte has formally integrated two new players into his first team squad at Chelsea after confirming their shirt number ahead of next season campaign.

Per an announcement on the official website of the club, it was announced that new goalkeeper signing Willy Caballero will wear the number 1 shirt vacated by Asmir Begovic, while Charly Musonda will dorn the number 17 jersey.

Furthermore the Premier League have granted permission for the shirt name of Musonda to be Musonda Jr. The handing of shirt number to the duo means three players including Antonio Rudiger who will wear the number 2 jersey have been added to the squad for next season.

The omission of Kenneth Omeruo from the list of players handed first team squad number could mean his future lies outside the club despite teaming up with the first team in training.

Already the club has received an offer from Turkish side Goztepe, but they are hanging on for a fee in excess of €7m for the Nigeria international who spent last season on loan to Alanyaspor.

Exclusive – Diamond Academy Receives Payment From Villarreal For Samuel Chukwueze

Spanish La-Liga outfit Villarreal have won the race to sign failed Arsenal target as exclusively reported by this portal four months ago.
Chukwueze agreed a deal to join Arsenal alongside Kelechi Nwakali, but the deal fell through due to disagreement on the mode of payment of the agreed transfer fee due to Diamond Academy.

FC Porto also had the fleet footed forward nicknamed “Nigerian Robben” trained with their youth side, and just when it seems like the forward was going to put pen to paper issues not confirmed to this portal lead to the collapse of the deal.

A move to Villarreal was agreed after a training period in Spain, where the forward distinguished himself in training with the youth side of the La-Liga team.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered from a source in Spain, that the club requested for an account to begin the payment of the reported €500,000 transfer fee agreed by both parties.

It’s yet to be known by this portal, how they intend to go about the payment but feelers suggest they will pay €150,000 as first payment with the rest staggered through a specific period of time.

18 year old Chukwueze was one of the stars of the Nigeria U-17 team that won gold at the 2015 World Youth Championship in South Korea. He is expected to travel to Spain later this month to officially sign a five year deal.

He will be with the B team of the La-Liga side from where his progress will be monitored by the handlers of the first team in view of a promotion to their main team.

Exclusive: Vitoria Guimaraes Working On Deal To Sign Flying Eagles LB, Dubbed The New Marcelo

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães SC are working on a deal to sign Nigeria U20 international Udochukwu Anumudu.

The Primeira Liga outfit have firmed up their interest by inviting the wing-back to undergo trials in Portugal ahead of a potential acquisition.

Subject to a successful visa application, the highly-rated 18-year-old will jet out to Portugal in the next fifteen days.
Teams based in France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Croatia were interested in signing Anumudu before he cherry-picked Vitória Guimarães.

The defender, who has been likened to Real Madrid's Brazil star Marcelo by his minders, was one of the standout players in the Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup.

Udochukwu Anumudu is represented by French-based agent Cedric Mazet, who recently brokered the deal that took Super Eagles left back Elderson Echiejile to Sivasspor.

Talented Nigerian Striker In List Of Players Released By Porto

Portuguese giants FC Porto have communicated to players who are no longer needed at the club, and according to information exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com, Moses John was affected by the clear out.

John joined the team from local Kaduna side Mutunchi Academy after impressing during the annual Gee-Lec scouting programme which was attended by scouts of the Portuguese side last year.

He joined up with the team last summer as exclusively reported by this portal on an initial one year deal, which was subject to be a renewal or extension based on his performance with the B team.

However he failed to break into the first team of the U18, and played only one game for the team throughout last season, clearly failing to justify the trust that lead to his signing by the team.

We gathered he has already left the team for a second division side in Portugal, where he will be hoping to make an impression after the disappointment of not earning an extension at FC Porto.

Chelsea starlet Ola Aina set to join Hull on loan: Deal could be completed today
CHELSEA defender Ola Aina is set to join Hull on loan.

By Jamie Styles / Published 10th July 2017

Aina, 20, is yet to break through into the first-team at Stamford Bridge.

The right-back made three Premier League appearances under Antonio Conte last season, all of which were from the bench.
And it appears he will now head out on loan in search of more game time.

The Hull Daily Mail claim Aina will join the Tigers in a season-long loan deal.
He will become the first new signing at the KCOM Stadium since Leonid Slutsky's appointment as manager last month.
Hull are apparently hopeful of finalising the deal today after positive talks over the past 72 hours.

And that means he will be able to join his new team-mates for a warm-weather training camp in Portugal tomorrow.
Slutsky, close friends with Blues owner Roman Abramovich, is hoping to guide the Tigers back to the Premier League at the first attempt after their disappointing relegation to the Championship last term.

The Russian boss intends to make between "six and seven" additions to his squad before Hull's season kicks-off away to Aston Villa next month.

Ola Aina made three Premier League appearances last season

Aina is the latest Chelsea youngster to be sent out on loan this summer.

Tammy Abraham and Kasey Palmer joined Swansea and Huddersfield respectively while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is on the verge of sealing a temporary switch with Crystal Palace.

You think Salisu and Alloy do not follow the league?

As I said before their jobs/careers are tied to the success of the team. So how can you feel they will pick goalies that will fail them.

Yes no coach is perfect but coaches quite often select players to suit their playing style and philosophy.

Been following reports on this from various sources... and SkySports said a deal had been struck "in principle" and that a few issues with Nacho's reps need to be sorted (Remember the reps tussle over Nacho). The Leicester forum (Foxes talk) has also been buzzing with the latest on this Nacho deal.... they are eager to see it go over the line finally.... lol... Sun UK dropped a latest of Dortmund's, Monaco's and Tottenham's late interest for Nacho but I don't think they are concrete enough coz this Leicester deal seems close to me.... anyway... nothing is "wholly official" just yet....

Man City Agrees £50m Buy Back Fee With Leicester City For Iheanacho, Set For Medicals This Week

Manchester City Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho will seal a £29m move to Leicester City on Thursday on a four year deal, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Leicester City will pay Manchester City an initial fee of £22.5m for his services and they have also agreed on a buy back clause of £37.5m for the first four years of his stay with the Foxes.

However if Leicester are able to qualify for the Champions League during Iheanacho’s first your years at the club, and City want to exercise their buy back option, a fee of £50m has been agreed between both parties.

Furthermore his move to Leicester City have also made him the most expensive Nigerian player ever, and his new wage at Leicester City which is twice his current wage at Manchester City also makes him the highest paid Nigerian player in Europe.

Congrats on the loan move Ola Aina.... now dig in deep and shine aiit.... but hey guys! Hull getting Aina may mean it is over for Moses Odubajo at Tiger ground KCOM stadium(?) *scratches head* I had high hopes for Odubajo recovering from his injury woes and coming back to stake a claim for a place in Hull but it seems that "may" not happen..... hence Aina's acquisition.

Both players are "predominantly" Rightbacks Super Eagles Hopefuls as they have both declared for Nigeria and Odubajo was in line for a call-up but for injury. Now, Aina is due a call-up ahead of the Cameroun game and I think his allegiance switch is possibly done and dusted by now as the English FA ought to have completed their part of the switch. Anyway... Time will tell. Congrats again Aina....

(Photo Confirmation) Official : Chelsea Defender Ola Aina Joins Hull City On Loan

Through a statement on their official website, Hull City have confirmed the signing of Nigerian defender Ola Aina.
The 20-year-old will spend the entirety of the 2017-2018 season on loan at The Tigers, and has been named in their traveling party for a pre-season training camp in Portugal.

In his first words after signing the deal, Aina told Hull City's official website :

''I'm very excited to be here and it is the start of a new chapter in my career.

"It's my first loan move away from Chelsea and I just want to hit the ground running.

''I'm looking forward to getting to know all of my new team-mates during the training camp in Portugal."

Ola Aina has made six appearances for the first team of Chelsea since he debuted against Bristol Rovers last August in the League Cup.

The deal is being held up because of the long standing dispute between two players' agencies fighting over Nacho And not because Tottenham stepped in.
Ofcos, we know of the Pep's brother saga (pere guardiola) wanting Nacho to sign under him but Nacho refused.... **Anyway, that is now swept under the bus... but the truth of that will emerge one day**

So like I was saying, it is about who the player's agency reps are.... between First Eleven and Stellar Group....

A deal with Leicester have been agreed "in principle", same with the buy back clause and all.... even personal terms have been agreed between Nacho and Leicester. But the legal battle of who reps Nacho as Agents is still unsolved and even Tottenham and any other club who wanna hijack This Nacho-leicester deal will meet the same obstacle which is the issue of Nacho's reps and the contractual terms that must be reached to settle both agencies.

Although there is a truth to Man City wanting Kyle walker but the reports from Sun UK is quite not there yet as they also include Monaco and Dortmund... two teams among many Nacho have initially ruled out going to because he wants to stay in England.

So that is it my friend. smiley

Exclusive: Leicester-Bound Iheanacho Rejects Four-Year Deal, N8.2B Wages From Monaco

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has turned down a big money move to French Ligue 1 club Monaco.

The Manchester City number seventy two had been interested in the proposal from the Principality outfit, but had a change of mind because he wants to obtain a British passport.

''Monaco were ready to bid 35 million pounds for Iheanacho, they were in talks with his agent,'' an intermediary involved in negotiations told allnigeriasoccer.com .

''He was offered a four-year contract and would have been paid five million euros per season wages (approximately N8.2 billion over the duration of the contract) if he agreed to move.''

He added : ''He is joining Leicester City, the club are delaying the announcement because of the dispute with his former agent. He was interested in moving to Monaco but said it can only be possible when he gets his British passport''.

Ahead of his transfer to the King Power Stadium outfit, Iheanacho has remained professional and turned up for Manchester City's start of pre-season training on Monday.

Salisu yusuf chose experience over talent

For CHAN??

I would rather see up and coming talents who might have a super eagles future than all the old men, he has gathered. What is the value of playing these guys in CHAN? Very disappointing list..

Mehn I don't hate much but I hate this excuse of passport. Monaco would have been best for his development IMO.

The 20 year old will have his medicals on Wednesday when he returns to England after he was given extended break by coach Pep Guardiola due to his engagement in international matches with Nigeria during the off season.

Note: Nacho is already in England.... he even reported for training at the Etihad.... and yes The Leicester deal is as close as ever despite distracting news of late interests as we have heard all summer so far....

How many old men did u see? The list is not as bad as people are making it. I would have added Onuwa(mfm) and Shedrack(abia) but such is life, nothing can ever be perfect.

Nigerian coaches choose their boys.. Keshi, Siasia, Oliseh, Manu

It is simply atrocious that Akpeyi is considered national team material. Look the ridiculous list released by Salisu for CHAN. Again, we will not get the best local players. Rabiu Ali Akas?? Are you kidding me??

Akpeyi has earned his spot, being first choice in the PSL no be beans. I guess Nigerians want god to leave his throne and come play for us because na only perfection go do una. Even Enyeama gifted Pogba a goal in the wc, all this talk is ridiculous. If the coach drops him, fine he is not the worst goalkeeper on earth.

Akas, Aggrey and Ali are servants of the NPFL they have earned a chance for the coach to look at them in closed quarters. After all there were 30 players selected and only 18 will make the match day squad.
