The beauty of the Bible is that people can read it and get different messages that apply to them.

For instance, I love Psalm 46:1-7 and am adapting it for my TCC journey.

1) The Lord is our Refuge and strength. A very present help in the times of trouble.

2) Therefore we will not fear,though we feel that the rug is pulled out from beneath us by the problems of life and though our solid foundations are swept into the midst of the sea..

3)Though our erstwhile peaceful lives are experiencing turbulence, simply because we are ttc.
And though our solid foundations are shaken by this same turbulence.

4)There is a place of peace and beauty wherein the Lord dwells. This temple of the Lord,this holy place of the tabernacle of the most high, is the praying soul of every ttcer in this thread.

5) God is in the midst of this place of peace, she shall not be moved.
God shall help her,and early too!

6) The people who do not share our faith in the Lord's ability to deliver us may rant,rave and shake us to our very foundations, but when the Lord utters His voice on our cases, the obstacles before us will melt away!

7) The Lord of host is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge!

I unfortunately don't hv any gynea referal for you but make sure u are not using crystal specialist hospital at that akowonjo road. I hv nasty exp with them, same with two other pple I know. They don't hv exp gynea unless they just got one.

I remembered the 48hrs after delivery,our first son who was delivered prematurely,after almost 2months of survival in d womb without d amnoitic fluid,facing a lot of pressure those times due to d preterm rupture of d membrane.
Lessons learnt:
1) That with God,all things are possible; after d rupture of the membrane @ 22wks,d doctors thot d child was to come,I was induced with oxytocin for over 12hrs,yet,there was no contraction.The cervix that was said to be opened from 4cm to 6cm to 8cm closed back itself by d time d doctor came back to check at night.The baby grew actively n healthy in d womb despite d very little or no fluid at various times in 2months.My doctor kept telling us to pray the d child cries at delivery to prove that d lungs were well developed and it eventually happened at delivery,I heard his cry from d delivery room.All these proved that it could only have been God.

2) That God didn't have to prove anything to show He's our God.No matter d end,He is still our God.This reality brought me to another level of faith in Him.Just as I don't have to heed to my son's demands to prove his friends that am his parent,so also God.Unfortunately,we always want n expect Him to prove Himself which does not alter d fact about His sovereignty because He rules in d affairs of ALL men.Despite our prayers n professions of faith,d child still left n it didn't negate d fact that He's our LORD.That's d position we should assume as believers.

As for me,I didn't loose anything.A seed was sown that would yeild much fruits.Gone are d days when I think like other people that 'what if d boy grew abnormally?'.Another question would have been the other way round that 'what if he grew normally?'.So, no more questions as such should be heard in our midst,rather,let our hearts be filled with thanksgiving for the gift of life d salvation on the cross.We have d victory already,d devil should tell us otherwise.
This incident happened almost 2yrs back n we're trusting God for His best.I just want to encourage everyone that that we're still alive means hope in Christ so,be rest assured that it is well.There's no one that is bnarren,Christ became d curse for our sakes.Doubting this truth means be-littling the sacrifise on d cross.

Please dearie am so so sorry for responding late, I had the HSG at Adetos Diagnostics center, Its inside the Oba palace compound in Mary Land, along Ikorodu Road, It was N15,000. Its ok having your tubes checked to be sure of the status on your Fallopian tubes.

Ok You are always welcome we are in this together, we will not rest until we see over victory celebrated. I was told it has to be done nothing more that CD10, or should be done between 3 to 5 days after your AF.

l will advise you first start seeing a gynea.. dont do the HSG without having a gynea who will interpret and follow up with you. Again, you may be asked to do it again if you eventually start seeing a gynea. My advice, get a gynea first, he will be the one to recommend tests. HSG is not the first line of fertility treatment, he must have done one or two treatments, if no result he may then recommedn HSG.
After HSG, antibotics will be recommended, and its only your gynea that will do this.

Hello everyone!!How has ur day been?Splendid am sure.
I got my hormonal profile tests result today.It says my prolactin is very high(29) n progesteron is quite low(4.2).Am actually tired of taking parlodel,I took it n got pregnant d first time.I took it for like 5months plus after delivery but d white discharge kept coming out even while on it.What else woudl u suggest?Am open to any suggestion.
Am not worried or anxious cos I know it's a settled case that am a mother of mighty nations of God.Thanks everyone and baby dust n knackson everywhere.
@olamide123 u'll have to overcome it o,there's always something to learn in such situations,not for u but for others that might come ur way in that same situation.Just know that all is well.I was on bed rest all thru d time d water kept draining n I had the baby via cs to avoid further stress on d poor boy.After going thru all that n d after birth pain,d baby was no more.D enemy want me to remain in that state of pity n rob me of d greater things God has in store for me but I mustn't allow it.So also I encourage u to get d testimony of christ from the experience,tell it n d devil is overcame.It is well dear.
@slimphemy, take enof rest n eat well to add flesh for like a month n take prenatal vitamins,then,u can now start d rigors of tests begining from d easiest ones like hormonal profile n mcs/sfa,pelvic scan n swab test,urine analysis.See a good gynea to recommend d test.above all,be calm at heart n don't b hasty or anxious,all will be well.

So a lot of ladies have been mentioning prolactin. Since I have not really heard or ever understood the condition I picked up to books on Ttc I enjoyed reading

Here is what the book Tcof says about it ( forgive me if you some of the information is redundant)

Prolactin is hormone produced in the pituitary glands that promotes production of B.reast milk and inhibts ovarian production of estrogen.
According to book, estrogen is very important to the production of fertile cervical fluid (so ladies with high prolactin may also have issues with Ewcm). the author recommends parlodel/bromocriptine.

So I grabbed the book fertility and conception ( by ziti west) here are the authors tips for reducing prolactin:Note: This author is more focused on nutrition and supplements. So if u have adverse effects to parlodel:
-she believes prolactin levels increase due to the reduction in production of a hormone called dopamine (which is basically the active ingredient in parlodel) - in short reduce stress and find ways to intentionally relax
-avoid strenuous exercise and avoid alochol especially beer.
She encourages the use of the following vitamins : ZInc and B6 ( b6 is needed because it helps our body absorb zinc) . zinc supplement will allow ur body normally produce dopamine.
Research foods high in zinc. She has a list but these foods may not be avail. In naija.

Finally dr west, says the use of vitex herbs for three months have also helped with the production of dopamine.

Foods rich in Zinc B6 and high in protein are recommended for increasing dopamine, which inveritable reduces prolactin levels. e.g green vegetables, banana, apple, watermelon, avocado, beans etc. Do you research and you will be glad you did.

My darlings....I missed u guys sooo much, sorry I ve bn MIA. I had the most terrible AF this month. Infact I don't understand it @ all. The pain was terrible,then on d 4th day when its spsed to be reducing it started pouring again with a lot of pain,d same thing on d 5th day. I was temping...and it was reading 37.0...I normally get that figure after O. Then on d 6th till now as am typing,I have bn having a terrible headache. Don't knw wat all dis means,am just confused. I forgot to mention that I also had black clot of blood @ intervals. Has anyone experienced such before. Anyway, I will monitor d headache n if it persists...will go n see my doc. Please has anyone ever gone for a laparoscopy (sp) before. My gynae scheduled one for next week. I usually ovulate mid cycle and the appointment date would be my CD19. My worry is, what if there is an egg maturing or moving along that day and they use their dye to flush it out!

Maybe na fear of operation just dey worry me but I can't help but wonder if the procedure will allow dem see an egg in progress?

@Shiloh, please don't be sad or mad at me if I say this. But this sounds to me like a very early miscarriage. I might be totally wrong but from your symptoms thats what i think. I've had a few friends miscarry without even knowing they were pregnant. They had very heavy bleeding with cramping and passed out blood clots with their next period. I would suggest going to see a Dr whether the headache stops or not, cos it might be something else but watevr it is, it doesn't sound normal.
So sorry for the pain dear, hope you feel better.

Shiloh, I forgot to mention that you can search google to see if you can come up what might be causing the heavy bleeding

Please, i'm abit confused @ the moment my Dr said i have PCOS and placed me on clomid for three months, started with fifty mg from day two to six. it made to have period early enough which was 36 days. The second month i was asked to increase it to hundred and i was able to know with some signs, pain and OPK that i actually ovulated. The blod teast i had on day 21 also confirm that i ovulated. But exactly day 30 i noticed few stains and have been having some pains in my unmentionable, fatigue and mouth tasting bitter. To cut the long story short i had the spotting for like 3 days which was like spotting /light period with little clots and the colours are like dark brown, changes to light red, red and brown. it came for like 3days today ought to be day four but im not seeing anything again. but my unmentionable still hurts @ times. im so confused and have started my third round of clomid last night. i dont know if its my period that just changed this month and i dont know if i should continue with my clomid.
let me blame myself first, because i didnt to ant pregancy test, im just tired of doing the test. dear friends please, i need to advice. i'm @ the cross road, dont know if i should will clomid today. may be its my period thats just scanty and short this cycle.
