Facebook is a facebook, while nairaland is a facelessbook. On facebook, its love and peace. On Nairaland its a war of words. Nairaland tries, but can really be annoying. But obviously, I check my facebook more often than nairaland. 1 Like |

PapaBrowne: quite the opposite for me, Im on NL more because no one knows ME. I can't do much on my FB because of who I really am. |

Is it a boxing match or a football contest? |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Nobody: 12:24am On Oct 20, 2009 |
true- is NL competing with Facebook? i dont think so. |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by puskin: 12:31am On Oct 20, 2009 |
Itz not about competition, itz about which do U prefer. |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by DisGuy: 12:44am On Oct 20, 2009 |
have you ever seen anyone with a bad comment on facebook? I think there's even a facebook etiquette- no bad comment no arguing lol the feel good factor people hide under where your comments are like but never disliked and everything is a one liner on there-nobody criticise you some plastic world if you ask me not bad though - the feel good formula certainly work! |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by pcicero(m): 12:47am On Oct 20, 2009 |
Ok, thanks puskin. Well, both are blog sites and they are for different reasons. I enjoy my freedom and privacy on Nairaland better. I can discuss issues without border because image is nothing on Nairaland while on Facebook it's all about pretending to be a cloned version of Brad Pitt or David Beckham. |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by puskin: 12:53am On Oct 20, 2009 |
^ ^ Now, U hv truly spoken well nd spoken my mind as well. |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Nobody: 1:07am On Oct 20, 2009 |
well, we cant all drop the veneer of civility all the time like we do here on NL. some sites have to remain sane unless they decide not to. |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Nobody: 6:17am On Oct 20, 2009 |
Nairaland is by far better for me.,i see it as a part of formal education while facebook is just like lovers zone;no criticism |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by ebumowa(f): 6:20am On Oct 20, 2009 |
There is no competition, facebook is better; I love Nairaland but are you seriously trying to compare the two? |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by ohisng(m): 12:28pm On Oct 20, 2009 |
How can anyone compare them? Facebook is light years ahead of NL |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 12:43pm On Oct 20, 2009 |
ohisng: I disagree but for compartmentalized reasons. Facebook is a social network Nairaland is a forum the comparisons are baseless. it is like comparing apples to pineapples or dog-meat to crab-meat |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Nobody: 6:18pm On Oct 20, 2009 |
lagerwhenindoubt: Of course pineapple is tasty |

Love Nairaland over FB But Fb is good for keeping in touch with friends, though I barely go there in a month. Too many invites to ignore. . |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by chosen04(f): 6:42pm On Oct 20, 2009 |
I really love the faceless community nature of Nairaland. Once your identity is NOT compromised then u are free to attack ur oppressors and attackers at least with 'the weapon of worded language' which most times is harmlessly KILLABLE!! |

Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by Seismic007(m): 6:58pm On Oct 20, 2009 |
I spend more times on nairaland than facebook daily. I just love the faceless nature of nairaland, it allows one to say his mind without compromise. I pretend to be a good dude on facebook |
Re: Nairaland Versus Facebook by justwise(m): 7:08pm On Oct 20, 2009 |
