Kobe out for the All-Stars!!!

Pa Jason Kidd to replace him!! Mehn this has to be the oldest backcourt in All-star history, if you add their ages up it must be at least 70 years they might have as well called Mark Jackson and John Stockton or Pistol Pete and Oscar Robertson

Who plays Shooting guard between them sef? I see an assist extravaganza though
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by H2O2: 12:26am On Feb 12, 2010
Monta Ellis should have been voted in.

I know their record sucks, but seriously . . . Kidd over Ellis NO!

I dont mind Tough juice my only problem is with the inclusion of Gooden in the deal! Abeg make dem take out Gooden and give them Ross,Singleton and Carroll along with Howard instead

Na who watch All-star jam? Ol boy T.O is no joke i thought last year was a fluke. I miss the AA sha
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by bawomolo(m): 7:39pm On Feb 13, 2010
caron butler is worth more than josh howard and a bunch of scrubs. you have to match salaries too and i doubt those three players make more than 100K a season combined grin
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by A40(m): 12:45am On Feb 14, 2010
Its Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and Deshawn Stevenson for Josh Howard, Drew Gooden and Quinton Ross. Shawn Marion has been a massive disappointment this season, it seems his point-o-meter stops at 12
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by Nobody: 11:23am On Feb 14, 2010
Saw the All-Star Saturday.Everything went well till the Slam Dunk contest.A massive let-down.
Charles Barkley said something about re-vamping the contest and for the first time in a long while I am tempted to agree with him.It was very predictable:Nate Robinson was going to win.
Shaq made some noise earlier on about getting LeBron into the contest while Calling Kobe and D-Wade (I think) out to participate.People shot him down saying he was yarning dust.Turns out Big Diesel was right:there really isn't enough to motivate top players to compete in it anymore.
In the 80s and early 90s,players like Dr. J,Dominique Wilkins,Michael Jordan,Clyde Drexler,Shawn Kemp all took part. There was a mini-slam-dunk rivalry between Air and Nique from 85-88.These days,it's guys whose na,es you can barely remember that enter,so as just to fill up the All Star Saturday card.
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by H2O2: 11:31am On Feb 14, 2010
Kobe ain't the dunker he once was, neither is Wince Carter. Derange Wade is not renowned for his dunks, LeConfiscate can hop (though he lacks the creativity), but i believe his hops alone would have won this particular dunk contest had he participated. As usual though he bailed on his word because he's afraid to fail.

A one-on-one game would be a better replacement grin .
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by Nobody: 4:43pm On Feb 14, 2010
Kobe won the Slam Dunk title in 1997.
Vince Carter won in 2000 with what is by far the greatest display of dunking in the history of the competition.
DWade while not essentially a dunker is the kind of player that is innovative so it shouldn't be a problem for him.He rocks the rim quite regularly,so I don't see why he can't compete.
The issue still remains that there is not much incentive to make the top players want to get on the court and duke it out.
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by bawomolo(m): 7:29pm On Feb 14, 2010
shannon brown and gerald wallace? umm what is the NBA thinking.
Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by chiogo(f): 7:33pm On Feb 15, 2010
^ LOL me sef I was wondering. Anyway, Nate Robinson keeps murdering these dudes with his short average height self. Can't believe we're the same height, I can't touch the rim.  grin

Yay!!! The truth for 3-pt shooting. Take that, haters!!!  tongue tongue tongue

East coast baby!!!!!!!!! D. Wade def. deserved to be MVP. smiley

Where is my right hand, JeSoul?

nail in the celtics coffin, amare could be going to the Cavs.
Amare and Shaq, that frontcourt would destroy anyone besides the lakers.

He who delights in the dispersion and spreading of bad news will himself be the recipient of the like, 10 fold - NBA 31:1  cool  Celtics should do and trade Ray Allen now, we need a major energy infusion if we're to hope to do anything this year.

If the Cavs get Amare, other teams might as well wave goodbye to any hopes they had of winning the title.

Lol, procreate for where? the juniors will have to wait for a pretty long time before they make their earth debut cheesy

Well also depending on what the Cavs give up to get him too. I hear Hickson might be sent off too . . . I think his energy alone has contributed greatly to the run the Cavs are on.

Eeyah, the dunk contest wasn't all that interesting. That's expected though with people like Shannon Brown, wth?
Nate Robinson did his thing, as usual.

Our own Pierce took home the medal for 3-pt shooting. cheesy

The All-star game was boring too, my friends and I were chatting away and listening to music while it was on. embarassed But East coast brought it home, where it belongs. smiley

Carry go jor grin you think you are safe? Kobe's knees, thumb, back will barely last till the playoffs. If the Cavs get Amare for practically peanuts, the are without question the favorites.

I hear there was speculation of bringing in D-leaugers or And1 guys next year? now that would be dope!
