C2H5OH. Good diet is all you need to keep your bones healthy. I assume you are an adult and your bones have fully grown? |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 9:45pm On Jun 12, 2009 |
Food that has vitamins to maintain the wear and tear of your body. If you are fat, try to lose weight. Regular exercise. Common sense things |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 6:22pm On Jun 13, 2009 |
Oyinda, glad you are able to read google! Worked that out, as the problem C2H5OH has to his thumb is ulna collateral ligament injury. Try and leave the medical answers to the doctors. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 6:26pm On Jun 13, 2009 |
topheal, it is unusual to be passing blood each time pass urine. You need to be seen by a urologist. Do you have history of tuberculosis |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by C2H5OH(f): 6:34pm On Jun 13, 2009 |
Balogun:ulna collateral ligament injury? tell me more doc. is it wise to go ahead with surgery, or would it be better to tape it up for a few months to let it heal? I was told by one of my doctors that taping the finger may not be a good idea, due to stiffness. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 6:50pm On Jun 13, 2009 |
C2H5OH, before I venture into treating people I like to have appropriate tests. Depends on where you are based. Access to MRI will tell you how badly damaged your ligament is and whether it needs surgery. Good ultrasonographers can interpret the same. See a plastic or orthopaedic surgeon with interest in hand surgery or someone who is a specialist hand surgeon. |

Kathy and Naijaking. My visit will probably be around the 19th October for about 1 week. Trying to book a place on 5th Avenue. Better than last time when I was there for only 3 days. Gives me chance to look around more. Will be nice to take you great docs to dinner and like I said we can put right all the wrongs of the world |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 8:35pm On Jun 15, 2009 |
Don faszy, always best to seek a genitourinary specialist for this and make sure your friend and girlfriend provide proper contact list to the doctor |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 8:41pm On Jun 15, 2009 |
By the way septrin ( co-trimoxazole) wouldn't be my first line of treatment. Important therefore to consult a specialist. Treatment with wrong antibiotic might not get rid of STD assuming that is what it is, but get rid of some of the signs your friend is exhibiting |

Don faszy, no matter how many times you ask the same question on different threads you will get the same answer. I notice your question is on about 4 or 5 different threads |

C2H5OH: listen to your doctor and go for the surgery. when is it anyways?? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by C2H5OH(f): 8:32am On Jun 18, 2009 |
I haven't exactly talked to a "specialist" about an appointment for surgery per se. I still need to setup an appointment to meet with podiatry and orthopedics, and they would be the ones to decide my fate. I aint' scared of the surgery or nothing. Can live with the pain but would rather not. I am more concerned about the surgery limiting the mobility of my fingers. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by oyinda3(f): 8:40am On Jun 18, 2009 |
were you referred to a specialist? how bad is the injury? you really should read the link esp the non-surgical treatment section if there isn't any extensive damage and you want to skip surgery http://www.eorthopod.com/public/patient_education/6566/pip_joint_injuries_of_the_finger.html i'll suggest you go to the doctor/clinic to help you bind it as well. do just go to the store and do it your self. at least not for the first time |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by C2H5OH(f): 9:18am On Jun 18, 2009 |
I haven't exactly been treating it. The injury keeps getting re-aggravated time and time again. |
