I disagree.
These outcasts are brainwashed deviants with no remorse for human life.

Not only are they brain washed, they just have some sick beliefs, I mean if u want to kill people, kill your own people and leave the rest of others out of it, but they try to get everyone involved in their circle of madness.

Brainwashed by what? Organized religion?

Even if it wasn't a religious doctrine, it is innate in humans - love and affection for fellow humans. I recognize we don't currently live in an ideal world but I make my own world for me and I follow the teachings of my teacher.

Whatever, just don't lavish your love on the wrong types.
Instead of loving that criminal, I wish the US will hand him over to area boys in Lagos; they know how to adorn his type with jewelry that "blazes" in the sun. cool

So you'll let this one incident stop you from loving? Think about what you'll lose when you let love go, you'll part with joy and absolute inner calm.

I'm not saying terrorists are right, but if we have tried fighting them for years and it's not working, let's try something else. I know the same reactants under the same conditions would always yield the same products. Let's try something else for once, let's try love.

Dude have u ever flown from a U.S. secured airport at least like Reagan National that you know its close to White House, when u see the way people are treated, you might wanna have a rethink. It's not about only one incident, it makes it 10x worse now most especially those with green passports. Dude let's leave all this sentiments, I used to love not anymore.

Weeding them out would involve violence, which would lead to further violence, and further violence. . . Only love would break this cycle of violence.

Re: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab: This Is His Photo by HIO4: 6:11am On Dec 29, 2009
You sound like an American.  Americans tend to follow the wrong lead.

Brainwashed by choice, by being force-fed stupid idelogies, by being isolated and bred as brutal, cold-blooded murderers.  These are willing psycopaths.  By-products of both coercion and free choice.  These ones only constitute one segment of the world's population.

They stood there willing to completely destroy those innocent people who did not wrong them.  That level of ignorance extends beyond religious borders.  Extremism is the only name that fits and there are all kinds of it.  From religious to race to what have you.

Did u say violence? No offense man but from what world are u from? Can't u read the hand writing on the wall? As for violence, we are there already and would pay violence with violence period. The fool should be thankful he got caught in Pres. Obama's Administration and not ex. pres. Bush

I am Nigerian, I have a yoruba quote as my signature. But I know and I am absolutely sure that love conquers all because God is love. You think Farouk is evil? If you grew up in the same household as him, went to the same schools as he did and all that, what makes you think you would not turn out like him. Understand privilege and understand love.
Re: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab: This Is His Photo by HIO4: 6:18am On Dec 29, 2009
Don't racial extremists have as much hatred for members of a different race as al-qaeda terrorists do for the civilized people of the west?

Any form of irrational bigotry targeting specific groups purely based on hatred stems from an extremist perspective. I think that's what we need to find an antidote for. Soul poisoning like that will destroy the human race.
Re: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab: This Is His Photo by nguage(m): 6:20am On Dec 29, 2009
Extremism is a by-product of worries, which is a by-product of desire. Those who desire power use organized religion, race and the smallest things to brainwash people. They make us think we are so different, the anglican is different from the catholic. . .

By emphasizing our differences, they make us more intolerant of each other. Farouk is a victim of this. Love would conquer desire, worries, greed and terrorism.

Dude, I was privileged and opportune like other kids went to good middle school and high school and a gr8 college and maybe not as rich as him, that did not mean I lost my human sense, besides I've met several international students form good backgrounds like him, some Muslims and they don't share the same extremist ideology like he did

Were you born into the same household? On the same day? In the same place? And your name is Farouk too?

My own message is: Let's put ourselves in his shoes (or in his boxers. LOL) and we'll see it. We've all made mistakes at some point in our lives. Let the goverment and those in power do what they want with him but you should love him and shouldn't judge him.

Bullshit.  Farouk was showered with love, blessings, riches, and probably plenty of young Hausa kitten at a very young age, but he turned them all down and CHOSE to be a menace to society.
From all accounts we can conclude that this is a young man whose only desire is to strike fear in the souls of the human species, to shed the blood of the innocent and to die in the process.

The young man is an animal who chose to desert love for hate.

Dude no one is judging him, and please don't confuse mistake with clear judgement. He hard a clear intention to destroy period.

The distinction between clear judgments and mistakes is thinner than you think. Love, my friend, love all. Stop making excuses, you know the right thing to do.

cheesy  cheesy I know you are Nigerian.  That was just a cheeky statement I made.

God is love, but God severally condemns murder.
If I grew up in a household like Farouk's, I would not turn out like him.
Imagine that niggi lives in a mansion, gets to Bleep and marry as many babes as he wants, does not even have to work for one kobo in his life . . . despite all that he manages to pull a senseless stunt like this.  The love was there from his family but he refused to welcome it.
I have good sense and I would never justify sheer violence.  The niggi turned love down for hatred and criminal behavior.
He has the brain to understand that his actions have grave consequences.

HIO4, have u read the book called Tipping Point?

the boy was president of the Islamic society at his school at a period when islamophobia is running so rampant.  you can imagine what influenced his behavior.

No it isn't thinner, it very broad and CLEAR. When one makes a mistake, the key thing is that there isn't any preset thought, or actions, unlike clear judgement, you've thought about it, slept over it, talked about and then decided to do it. Therefore there is a huge difference. The only right thing to do is support his move to Gitmo bay before it closes down.
