chris365: You are a fool, SA is a fully industrialised country. Where did you see in any first world country military developing its own weapons. That is only possible in third world country which has an under-developed defence industry. List of newly industrialised countries as at 2013. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newly_industrialized_country |

andrewza: i hate repeating posts dude, NAF Alpha jets and Mi-24 Hind helicopters were shot at and damaged by Boko Haram anti-aircraft guns in battle this very year 2013. "No fewer than 50 Boko Haram militants and three soldiers died in separate battles . The militants fired anti-aircraft guns at JTF jets and helicopters and attacked ground troops with missiles and guns. The militants hit a JTF helicopter with anti-aircraft weapons during the operation. However, the pilot was able to navigate the damaged aircraft to safety with no casualty on the part of the crew members." http://www.punchng.com/news/boko-haram-militants-may-be-tried-for-war-crimes-un/ now show me source weblink to prove south african Gripen jets, Hawk jets were shot at by enemy anti-aircraft guns. if your air force is so inexperienced that their jet fighters have never fought any battle, let me pity you a little, now show us weblink source of where your Oryx and Rooivalk helicopters were shot at by enemy air defences in the last 20 years till today ![]() ![]() . |

agaugust: How many gunships do u have? Bwahahahahaha!!! By the way, we are a professional country, just like the US and the UK, thus we know which is which and who has the responsibility to do what. You do not think with you heads but your buttocks, no wonder the military in your country is developing its own weapons. Now tell me what is the DICON for? Are they just christmas trees with nothing to offer. You have really undermined them and in that case there is no reason for them to exist any more. |

To the ignorant and delusional AndrewZA and so called FighterPilot the Gulma UAV video must have rudely knocked your eyes off socket ... going by your lame comments above. The story of our military strength, capabilities, and success is diverse ... a military operations and armament model that forever beats your imagination! Nigeria runs an indigenous, formal, informal, global, local, multidimensional and cost effective military capacity building model. Don't bother about our ways ... the more you try to measure us by established norms, the bigger your headache and heartburns! Cool runnings! 3 Likes |

Henry120: Defeated? I can post sources of there mission objects long before the fight. It was the protecstion of the training team and the base. Not one of the training team was even injuerd and the base was protected. The vechiels where abdoned in a urban fire fight, they offer zero protecstion to fire. A number of SA solders where killed so it stands to resoane that seleka would have some R4s. Niether one is a indecstion of a deafet since we left with all the men we enterd with and the bulck of the equiment. How do you know they have enough ammo. Really farmers? That was disproven along time ago. Most where harden ex milltary rebels and mercs from sudan and chad. 1 Like |

zaandrew: So if your so called Piza Companies are building drones why are you so fascinated and condescending about Nigerian built drones? Most likely because you think everything in the world/Africa best happens in your fantasyland of South Africa. This Gulma video has badly punctured your hot air balloons, hence your weak attempt to deflect or trivialize the UAV debates! If the video had not been made possible by NAF and shared by Henry120 would you be making this stupid comment? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1 Like |

Silly Naaigerians! Did you really think that your country's Military could build a Drone on their own? Well all credit goes to your British Masters who built it for you. Nigerian commissions new UAV: DefenceWeb ''Was produced by the Nigerian Airforce Institute of Technology with the help of aerospace engineers from Cranfield University in Britain'' I mean did you guys really think you can produce a UAV from start to finish? Lol... For God's sake you can't even provide constant electricity and sanitation to your ''Universities''. Building UAVs is for sophisticated countries like Mzansi not Crapgeria. ''At the Air Expo, AFIT stated that test flights for Amebo I and II had been carried out by UK pilots in 2010 and 2011..'' Lol you don't even trust yourselves to test flight these drones. We all know why - you don't want them to come crashing down from incompetence just like your F-7 crap aircrafts. Time to buy some new multirole birds, you're an oil rich nation! Oh wait.... Most of the money made from Oil goes into private swiss and london bank accounts while the likes of Augustus are left of to make ends meet by selling dog meat on the markets of Lagos. Smh! The giant of Crap! 1 Like |
