@Ify Both are the same thing. My father's people call it "arigbe" while my mother's people call it "nchu anwu". It's possible that apart from it's use in cooking, it's also used in repelling mosquitoes hence the name "nchu anwu" |

Kedu, Can someone please open a thread on "Learning Ibo language". I want to learn. I speak Yoruba and Hausa fluently and would looove to say the same for Ibo. :-) |

ifyalways: Ify, ome nala a, dika isiri kwuo, di kwa egwu (fearful). Adighi eme ya na obodo nsi bia. On the other hand, kedu ka nwoke tozuru etozu ga eji kporo nwa onye ozo free-of-charge. Nya buru gi iga ekwe? Igbo si na: Onye si na obughi ya, ya buru ya gini ka oga eme? Ndumodu m (my advice), mee nke ike kwere gi (do something). Akporokwala nwa onye ozo na efu. Akwukwo nso anabatayi ya (the Holy Book does not encourage it). Igbo, biri nu! |
