Some Useful Apps to consider WebMD – A free application If you or a loved one contracts and acute or chronic issue WebMD will be there to help. WebMD is able to help determine the condition by choosing from a list of symptoms. Find a physician in your area and get detailed information about the medications you or your family is taking. Remember that WebMD is only a resource and should not be substituted for an actual medical doctor. Check the QR Code for more info.

After fighting my inner conscience, about not switching over to the android platform, I finally broke that duck and after contemplating which device best suited my needs, I dived in with the Motorola Atrix, wow what a device !!!! And probably the only fully tested water resistant device out there, drop it in a glass of water, no harm will befall this device. Well done Motorola, I think you guys have finally cracked your battery power gremlins !!!! |
Re: Android, Anyone? by DoubleN(m): 4:46pm On May 23, 2011 |
Lexusgs430:Nice step there but be careful o! No need to start tempting the devil with your new found love. . The Motorola Defy is always a very rugged phone. |
Re: Android, Anyone? by Lexusgs430: 5:03pm On May 23, 2011 |

Re: Android, Anyone? by Lexusgs430: 5:16pm On May 23, 2011 |
@ lynxnoon - Nope, I meant Atrix. Defy was the first release, and Atrix is the sequeal !!! Bought for £389.99. |
Re: Android, Anyone? by lynxnoon(m): 5:26pm On May 23, 2011 |

Re: Android, Anyone? by Lexusgs430: 9:28am On May 24, 2011 |
@ Double N - Just downloaded the WebMD App, what a fantastic and useful free App !!!! |
Re: Android, Anyone? by DoubleN(m): 9:46am On May 24, 2011 |
Lexusgs430:Nice to know that, i'll be putting up some other cool apps soon. avi2612:You can always install a custom ROM to get rid of all the 'blur' or better still install a custom script that 'freezes' all the blur you want. That's the cool thing about andriod, you have complete power over your phone. |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 11:17am On May 24, 2011 |
Lexusgs430: The Atrix is not advertised as being waterproof for good reason. It isn't. Please don't mislead others into trying an immersion test. |
Re: Android, Anyone? by Lexusgs430: 4:05pm On May 24, 2011 |
texazzpete: It was my daughter that was updating details on Nairaland after having a play on my phone. The android phone I decided to check out the hype, is a Motorola Defy, and yes it is water resistant !!!!!!! The Atrix is not Water resistant !! So don't go dropping your Atrix in a glass of water, or else it will not survive !!!! |
Re: Android, Anyone? by lynxnoon(m): 11:23pm On May 24, 2011 |

Re: Android, Anyone? by fanistic(m): 10:08am On May 25, 2011 |
i intend buying the htc sensation when it gets released mid/end june, after reading all the reviews about the android i would definitely switch from my blackberry. i would love to know if software updates i.e gingerbread etc is available in nigeria because i would not want to root my sensation and lose the warranty. has anyone upgraded from froyo to gingerbread via ota? need to know cos of future updates coming to the sensation. |

Re: Android, Anyone? by blacklion(m): 1:03pm On May 25, 2011 |
Perhaps because I'm more interested in real world user experiences than geek reviewer arcane obsessions with the various iterations of Android firmware? Troll much? |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 2:42pm On May 25, 2011 |
blacklion: You're asking for a COMPARISON you dolt! How many people here would have used BOTH phones enough to give a 'real world' opinion of their differences? A decent review would cover everything from the screen size (4 inch, 4.3 inch etc), Screen tech (SLCD, SAMOLED), real world camera photo and video performance, benchmarks, processor speed, radio frequencies, battery life, bloatware etc in addition to the preloaded OS variant. Dolt. |
