When European settlers went to the land of the Navajo Indians, the Apache Indians, the Comanche Indians and bombed them and took their lives, and killed their women and children no body saw it as wrong. They forcefully took what was not theirs. They also came to a land where they saw black people, and killed them and forcefully took their young ones to be slaves.

That aside, no we should not remain helpless. But we should use this opportunity to strengthen our defense and security parts. While we're doing that, we should beware of those whose offered their help, we should be wise about that.

Who are the "WE" that you refer to? I believe that one of the greatest problems that we face today is that 'WE" in Nigeria do not see ourselves as "ONE" The bible says in Amos 3:3 "Two cannot walk together except they be in agreement." As of now we have not agreed to walk together, or to live together, nor to eat and worship together.

We are different nations. Yes. We are different religions. Yes. But look at the garden. Look at the forest. Trees and plants of different varieties live together.
The Holy Qur'an says in Sura Al-Hujarat 49:13

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other).
