Maureen is not the master of mindgames - he has lost the mindgames against Benitez in the CL for three seasons in a row He tried to win the league last time round with mind games - still lost He is a very successful manager given the trophies he has won since he came, but a great deal of that was based on the work of his predecessors Ranieri's 2nd place the season before and CL semi-finals formed the basis of his success as well as the core of the team - Lamps, Terry, Makalele, Cech - all signed before he even arrived. in Mind games no one beats Fergie, he has been at it the longest, and does it better than any other. Maureen, Wenger and Benitez sounded quite whiny last season in comparison. |

Yeh SAF is the best, i can remember 3 things last season - 1. His support for Graham Poll after JM lashed out at Poll, he called him to officiate the game between ManU and Chelsea ( he had this granted) 2. Poll as usual did the wish of SAF and painted half the field with yellow narrowly missing Obi. 3. Just before a match with middlesborough, in the press conference, he raised an alarm alleging that they would try to injure Ronaldo. In the game, the first person to have been close to one of Ronaldo's dives received a yellow card. 4. Somehow most refs seem to award him penalties at his wish while refusing more legal ones for opponents. |

Yo Jackal, U gat any updates on SAF's striker chase? I've been checking online since, yet it seems'em Newspapers are dud today Or Prolly SAF wanna spring surprises on everyone just as he unleashed Nani and Anderson! Besides, whatchu think of 'em Newboiz who just signed? Owen,H et al |
Re: Mourinho: The Undisputed Master Of The Mind Games by Jackal(m): 9:26pm On Jun 25, 2007 |
@ Rikkijen, SAF is keeping the chase away from the media and i am loving it. I'd have loved to see either Huntelaar, Tevez, Torres or Berbatov wearing the number 10 shirt for UNITED. United must go for the jugular and sign one of these progidies to guarantee the premiership next season. Nani, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves are good buys. I have always known Nani to be a dangerous winger who will follow the exploits of Giggsy. Owen will be UTD's pit-bull in the mould of Gattuso! I am keeping tabs on Anderson in the Brazil team of COPA AMERICA. BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

"Please tell me which team did Fergie take to the world cup, he was only accidentally and shortly a manager of the Scottish team due to the death of the then coach." @ Somze "Scotland manager Jock Stein had suffered a fatal heart attack. After the death of Jock Stein, Alex Ferguson was handed the role of manager for the World Cup." "Ferguson was briefly Scotland manager following the tragic death of Jock Stein in 1985. His tenure lasted just 10 games, during which time he took charge of three matches at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, against Uruguay, West Germany and Denmark." "After the death of Jock Stein in 1986, Ferguson stepped in as Scotland's caretaker manager for the World Cup in Mexico. Turning down the chance to take the job full-time, Ferguson instead accepted the challenge of replacing Ron Atkinson at Manchester United". http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/manchester_united/article394259.ece 1986 WORLD CUP MEXICO GROUP E SCOTLAND MANAGER ALEX FERGUSON DENMARK GERMANY URUGUAY GOONER 89 |

@loyika I know he was, you may have misunderstood me. I acknowledged that he indeed was a manager but it was not his doing. So deserves no he took them to world cup accolades. He did not. Stein did the work, he just took Stein's place after the death. |

Jose Mourinho contributed in his failure at the bridge, a Chelsea FC player scout, Piet de Visser, believes that the Portuguese is to be blamed for the deep in form of last season’s player of year Eden Hazard, the star player’s underwhelming performances this campaign has been so visible that it isn’t hard to notice any longer, however, their was too much pressure that was on the Belgium international, Jose Mourinho trying so hard to turn Eden to an improved of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo put together. http://www.prestnaija.com/piet-de-visser-mourinho-wanted-create-messi-ronaldo-hazard/ |
