Hello gadotor,
I guess that srt4930 is supposed to have the rj45 port for ethernet and thus if u see one without it, check system info to be sure that it is even a 4930 'cos it may be something else placed in a 4930 casing. "thank you"!

That's what I also know, only if they have re-designed the 4930 to have a built in RJ45 connector.

Whaaaaat!!!, which one is original? I am planning of getting a new one and I don't want to end up getting a fake one. Please, those using the one with RJ45 and the one without should confirm weither they have upgraded their reciever with the same firmware so as to know weither Strong Technologies have modified the reciever.

@figment232,
I think I've already answered your question in my last post.

The SRT 4896 is an ordinary decoder (mpeg2) although it has dual view and a twin tuner.

I have followed your post and visited the strong site as well as MyTV hardware site, looked the the specifications of the 4930. it does not show ant rj45 present on the machine. other members can also try and verify so that those intrested can have a good choice

@ all, the srt 4930 without rj45 cable is the version for middleeast/africa while the srt4930 with rj45 is the australian version. So both are genuine strong products. Strong decided to bring the australian version to africa cos they now realise we are begining to embrace cardsharing receivers with the rj45 (ethernet) ports. No cause for alarm, if u want to buy 4930 go for the one with rj45 as there will be no need for rj45-to- r232converter cable. CHEERS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE.

Nice, you have cleared the doubt. I have visited the strong Australia site downloaded a user manual of 4930 and under the specifications column Rj45 is clear and bold among the connectors indicated

It has been said to get fringe satellites we should use 'good' 0.2 or 0.1db LNBs. I need advice on Invacom C120 Single LNB which has a noise figure of 0.3db but in other websites it is claimed to be good for weak signals. I want to track AB 7, will it do the job?

I have never read much review from invacom single flange c120 lnb, from other uk forums,they say the invacom quad C12O Lnb performs better than the single c120, while the inverto white tech sflange c120 is a cheap alternative to invacom quad, while the inverto black ultra quad 0.2dB lnb outperforms the invacom quad 0.3dB lnbf . the conclusion is that if you are looking for single flange C120 LNB go for inverto white tech c120 lnb or the invacom quad c120,i got the inverto red quad c120 lnb since i needed 4 outputs i never read much review from inverto c120 quad anyways it is yet to be tested,. see review from other uk forums.                    www.astra2d.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=lnb&action=display&thread=1545

@ Odilibe
Performance wise, what's the difference between this Inverto White tech C120 LNB and Inverto White Tech Twin C120 LNB?
Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by GeorgeD1(m): 12:49pm On Dec 12, 2011
@Pidzo,
Go with odilibe's advice. I couldn't have explained it better myself.

The invacom quad 0.3dB lnbf is a better alternative.

@ all
realised a high reception late last night till now on Eurobird16, 15.8E. From 68% to 97% on 11.018 H 1.785 and 56% to 87% on11.023 H 3.332. 10.803 H 29.999 which was usaually in RED poped up green at 79%. the only unfortunate thing is that ORTB, Golfe TV and CRTV on 10.803  have no video only audio while equinox Tv RTG1, MBOA and a few others are ok. is anyone experiencing this?
Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by sammu(m): 1:35pm On Dec 13, 2011
@simniboma, nice update there, but let us familiarise with these sats so that we can be more accurate in our reports. The sat is eutelsat w3c and not eurobird16, although both are at 16E. Cheers.
