@simniboma, nice update there, but let us familiarise with these sats so that we can be more accurate in our reports. The sat is eutelsat w3c and not eurobird16, although both are at 16E. Cheers.

thanks sammu, on my receiver it's Eurobird 16 that's why I used the name. Later I checked from Lyngsat and realised Eut W3C and Eurobird 16 are all on 16 E. My receiver is a SRT 49Z

Can one of the experts open a thread on c band installations, i mean setting up the lnb and inputing the frequencies on recievers with only V and H instead of R and L. I will appreciate it.

what size of dish did u use to nail w3c

@simniboma, u can edit the name of a satellite in your strong receiver. From installation>>dish settings>>press the red botton on your remote control unit(not power button), alphabetical table is displayed, then edit as desired and press Exit button to save.

@ikiriye, 60cm will nail w3c, but 80cm and above the better for signal stability

A thread on motorising dishes 1.8m and above is already available on the childboard. Although t has been largely inactive of late it still contains valuable info you can use for C band installations.

@all .i seriously nid your help on this.i knw its a common problem here but my own case is a bit different.i upgraded a 4663x with  the 1.73 version software but the ddecoder refused to come up afterwards.it only shows the dash lines and nothing more after.i have done the unit to unit transfer wit a working 4663x,even using the computer stb loader with the rs232 cable but the problem stil persist.what can i do next to solve this problem. tanks allllll

among the channels only TVM Madagascar is MPEG 2 the rest are MPEG 4

from 60cm and above u can track this bird in naija, from ya dstv or multi tv position, first lift ya dish to 16°e then gradually move it to right, u will hit green

get ur east position.from the front of your dish position your lnb to almost 3pm, if u are using ground mount measure 6-7 inches of the last bolt holding the ring from where the tightening plastic handle is at d back.u will hit 26 degrees.use 11919H27500.hope u are using pan or fibre or else 4get it
